To the top of the Rock of Gibraltar

This video has subtitles providing extra information * Hiking to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar via little used mountain paths, 14 km and about 800 m combined elevation. There is a lot of military heritage up there and the panoramic views are amazing. The area is also known as the Upper Rock Nature Reserve and this is where the famous Barbary macaques, tailless monkeys, live. The start is in Main Street and then Devil's Gap path, Devil's Gap Battery, Genoese Battery, Apes Den, Jews Gate, Mediterranean Road, Saint Michael's path, Mediterranean Steps (Med Steps), O'Hara's Battery, Top of the Rock, Douglas path, Mount Misery, Skywalk, Saint Michael's Cave, Royal Anglian Way, Rooke Battery, Windsor suspension bridge, Queen's balcony, Charles V wall, Inglis Way, Tovey's Battery, Princess Caroline's Battery, Military Heritage Centre, Princess Anne's Battery, Princess Royal's Battery, City Under Siege exhibition, Second World War tunnels, Moorish Castle, Castle Steps and back to Main Street. Gibraltar is a very popular tourist destination. Best to come on a weekday as during the weekends, most shops are closed.

Sorry to hear this. Gibraltar is a very popular tourist destination because it's very near to the Costa del Sol's resorts. When 2 or more cruise ships call in on the same day, it might indeed be very busy.
