wow. thanks for the demo on that crap holster cause never had or seen sloppy draws and clumsy issues with a quality custom leather shoulder holster at all. I’m a professional driver & wear a shoulder holster mainly cause it’s the faster way to get my gun out & pointed towards either window much faster than when I carry appendix or cross draw not to mention the most comfortable way to carry when sitting for long periods. Also I attached a back strap to replace the belt straps my holster came with so now no belt no problem my draw is much more faster & smoother one handed with my lower back strap than when attached with belt straps anyways cause when I pull it’s using the mags which is coming from a natural position the opposite side than pulling when anchored below on the belt when carrying horizontal if that makes sense. Only when carrying vertical & wearing belt straps cause you are pulling up on the belt is when belt straps make a fast stable draw. Incredible how a simple lower back strap makes drawing from a horizontal shoulder rig so fast & smooth. Seeing the issues you had with that holster is very annoying & will take some alterations but can be fixed. Most budget rigs do.
as a wheelchair user, Ihave limited space for a holster, to be on-body, basically some sort of chest rig, and my state being open-carry, I Have to be, by law this open about my carry or get a CCP to carry in a cross-body bag
Most of the time, TO MY KNOWLEDGE, I AM NOT INFANTRY SO PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG! Not all members of a squad or fire team have a side arm. So 9/10 the driver of a hmmwv wouldn't have to worry about the struggle to draw his side arm. On a tank the whole crew from driver to TC has a side arm. So shoulder holsters are pretty common amongst the crews simply for comfort.
I like it more as a belt mounted holster with the flapper, awesome evaluation brother.
Great presentation, thanks for the information.

I wish they made this holster so that a pistol with a red dot optic as well as a mounted light would fit in it.
As good a holster as it is - it is a product of a bygone era.
