I actually used on of these as a weapons retainer of sorts for when I was a grenadier and rocked my 320 as a stand-alone. Worked well enough for carrying and was quick to deploy, but you'd have to let it simply hang until you had time to restrap the "leg" strap (In this case I had it clasped over the 320 and let it dangle off my FLC, at that height it actually rested pretty well on my hip/beltline)
I'm 6'4 with arms on the longer side, I tried having my pistol on the belt of my LBVE and it felt like drawing out of my armpit. A drop leg extension and a boot lace were perfect for making drawing quick, simple and intuitive.

Good idea! Might work for a breaching shotgun too.

Somehow I miss the the alert, thanks for sharing, & stay safe
Will this extend both legs or just the one?
It extended my 3rd leg only...
How well does the leg strap prevent flopping around while running?
Pretty good actually
Would this work with a safariland holster
Probably not
You can if you get a molle fork then a QLS plate to get enough stand-off.
