This race started a string of bad wrecks for Davey that culminated in the Pocono crash I believe. But this race and Pocono likely cost him the title as he was badly hurt at Pocono by having a broken collarbone, broken ribs I believe, broken arm, broken wrist as well.
Kyle did not spin Dale. Watch the replay. Dale ran him off the track and when they got to turn three, he was sideways. Kyle ran right on the back of Earnhardt, but Never hit him. It cost Kyle the race as he had to brake as he was so low entering three and had to dodge Dale's spinning car which gave Davey a run at him. Kyle did spin Davey, but Allison still won the race. I was a huge KP fan back in the day and was upset when he lost this race. RIP Davey!

Miss Davey, Dale, TNN, and this kind of racing. I rarely watch a NASCAR race anymore. The local short track is more exciting.
