Now all that's left is the original 1992 Goody's 500. I'm very happy that people are doing this. Up until a few years ago most pre-2000 races weren't on TH-cam except for excerpts. But in the last year or so SMIFFTV, you, RaceFan84, and many more have done a great job of preserving the races on TH-cam, and I hope that someday every race will be available to watch.
I watched this race on TV back in 83 & for the last 100-laps, a youngster named Bill Elliot ran nearly every lap within 1-3ft off King Richard's rear bumper & never once even touched The Famous 43! He made a run at Richard on the last lap, but came up bout 6ft short. I was happy my guy won, but I turned to my Father & said I do believe a star is born! One hellava Clean Racecar Driver was Million Dollar Bill Elliot! 💪
Was at this race and just about every other one until they stopped having cup races in 2006 ilive 20 min from the track, brings me to tears everytime I drive by it seeing it just sitting there rotting away.

I can understand why Nascar dropped The Rock. The races "took too long" for TV, the announcers get bored, everybody complained too much about it. But I loved races at The Rock.
19:56 - And thus Geoff Bodine went on to make his own bobsled company, who'd provide the bobsleds for the medal-winning US teams at the 2002 and 2010 Olympics.
The 1992 GM Goodwrench 500 was won by Bill Elliott, who beat the Late Davey Allison by having a combined 450 laps led finish. The 2nd race of the 12th Year of NASCAR Racing on Philippine Television was aired on GMA Radio-Television Arts on March 2, 1992 at 2:30 P.M.
Not really comparable. While Ernie was indeed a bit of a bull in a china shop at first, he was booed & blamed just for his on-track discretions, where as Kyle is booed & blamed for being a total ass off the track. You see, Ernie was a very likable guy off-track, so the instant he quit driving over his head, all was forgiven very quickly & he became a fan favorite, see how that works 😉 Kryal should have taken his lead from Ernie, or better yet, from his own brother Kurt!
That's because American companies suck at making cars, and keep going bankrupt. Besides, more Toyotas are American made than Ford and Chevy combined; Dodge isn't even American owned. Blah, blah, blah Americans ruined NASCAR, not Toyota.

The one 1992 race I've yet to see. Can't wait for more NHRA uploads!

I traveled from Ohio to watch races there. I miss that track also.
Nascar is bringing it back from what I hear and see.
I've said it before on another nascar coverage, I never knew Steve Evans did more than just NHRA

They got rid of the Rock but kept Dover and Pocono??

Thank you very very much!
Kulwicki got his ride back out there and picked up a spot or 2.

Oh hey... Stanley Smith started this race... Neat. Pity he would nearly die a year later, though. =/
The Budweiser boys won the goodwrech race
Bill Elliott won this race 1st of four in a row
Daytona: Ernie Irvan just happened to be in the vicinity.
Right. LOL.
Full stands. No Toyota. Good times. Now it’s Toyota cup. Like chinese. Japanese companies smother a market. Ruined nascar
💯
Yet Kentucky is rolling them out every day.
