Great work to your team on this. I think you did a pretty stellar job of allowing the best version of the left and right's description of this event to be shown here.
With that said I fear a lot on the right will not like this video and call out bias - because as you say this wasn't really a story. There is a crisis at the border but it's more of a funding issue that has been exacerbated by many who use it as a Political issue to appeal to people's worst impulses. No one is eating anyone's cats it seems.

Every single problem Venezuela is facing now is due to U.S. imperialism. Venezuela began to experience inflation in 2015 because the price of oil fell globally due to the influx of fracking. Venezuela is a member country of OPEC that usually sets the price of oil globally, fracking changed that. The U.S. invaded Iraq in 2004 and opened it up to Dick Cheney’s Halliburton, who used it as a testing ground to develop fracking. Obama legalized fracking domestically in the U.S., which turned the U.S. into the largest oil exporter in the world. More oil in circulation meant a depreciation in its value: inflation. In 2017, John Bolton of the Trump administration, decided to arbitrarily sanction Venezuela, Iran, and Cuba. Destroying normalized relations with Venezuela, newly normalized relations with Cuba, and the Iran Nuclear Agreement. Bolton did this solely to benefit his and his buddies stock portfolios, he has openly bragged about enacting coups and overthrowing democratically elected leaders. These sanctions on Venezuela exacerbated inflation and also created scarcity of food, medicine, and other goods, as well as tanking the Venezuelan economy further. Sanctions are utilized by the US to turn the public against their heads of state. This upheaval allows the U.S. to infiltrate with military contractors, and rob countries of their resources. The U.S. rigged the Venezuelan elections with seven years of sanctions, in order to accomplish this. It’s shameful of Andrew to call Maduro “authoritarian” without qualifying that at all. He’s accepting the word of the same oligarchs creating this problem. Accepting the exit polling of Venezuela for US elections over American polls, would be absolutely ludicrous, and recognized as such. So why would that be accepted in the other direction? The Oligarchs of the world already tried to install Guaido, a man who never received a single vote from a single Venezuelan because he never ran for president. This isn’t about democracy, it’s about stealing oil. In the end Guaido, came out with 22 million of American tax payer dollars and now goes on speaking tours across the US, convincing people to open up Venezuela to military contractors, like Erik Prinze, who has openly stated he wants to colonize South America and Africa, and whose mercenaries, have already committed war crimes in Iraq. Yeah - was hoping to come into the comments & see good convo that is also checking Andrew. Not the case at all - seems like a younger audience here & it's misleading to not mention how the Biden admin changed the definition of what constitutes a "migrant seeking sanctuary or asylum." There is no moving forward without addressing that crucial point & keeping those who did it responsible. Cherry picking what Trump says in a sound bite - who has ZERO power over this issue for the past 4 years - is fucking insane. You are continuing the cycle of media being able to manipulate the truth by doing this. Appreciate you putting boots on the ground, but overall this was a very unprofessional video on this subject. Not choosing to show the media machine - that is the current Democratic party - is clearly picking a side. Not Journalism. Really sad - love your content most the time. Funny how nobody has an issue looking at Biden or Kamala as a "team or Administration," and not needing to hear directly from them - but for Trump he gets singled out as if he doesn't have an administration or doesn't also assemble a team & gets clipped up to prove some self-righteous point. Even when not holding any type of office. Attempting to hop on some morale high horse is exactly whats wrong with Journalism & the media.

I'm sure he is already in contract with potential buyers for the land its self or a contractor that wants to build new and gentrify the area. That is why the leases were month to month and they have stopped collecting rent. The owners can displace these people as soon as the deal for the property clears. Do not help the US turn Venezuela into another ransacked country for billionaires

If you noticed the man that was interviewed that talked about his border crossing trip referred to his home town as a zone instead of a town or county. Either way the whole situation is just nuts!

Andrew you should interview some agriculture workers from your home state. I work in Ag and have seen a huge increase in Venezuelan migrants to the point where things are changing within the industry. Mainly, most don’t like to work but have a better education than your typical migrant. So they’ve started taking the better jobs available in Ag. They use fake paperwork and get a bunch of state/fed benefits. I get it tho, they came from a different culture, the unfortunate thing is the other migrants here are just watching everything. Its almost a slap to the face to the Migrants that contribute and want to work. I do admire that they stick together and tend to have their peoples back fully. The unfortunate thing is that is going to be our labor force in the next 5-10 years. It’s become harder to discipline people in ag to the point where it’s hard to fire people. OT laws have increased costs to where small farms are failing, leaving only big corporate farming operations to own most of the Ag. It’s just been a mess that I believe will lead to more corporate control over agriculture in the be US.

agriculture workers are some of the most gullible people ive ever met. economics is a hard one for them to understand so they blame migrants for there short comings and lack of ability to adapt in a growing, demanding world. The ranchers and agriculture farmers who have, have made millions and live in big old mansions with robots running the whole show.

Economic hardship is not a valid reason for Asylum...never has been...regardless of the cause....A valid reason to claim asylum in the United States is to demonstrate that you are unable or unwilling to return to your home country due to persecution or a well-founded fear of persecution. This persecution or fear of persecution must be based on one of the following "protected grounds": race, religion, nationality, political opinion, and membership in a particular social group. ...all here under false asylum claims, are currently breaking the law, and should be deported
