My speakers come on when they feel like it and after researching it, it’s a common problem regarding the fiber optics on these models.
My question is: Is it ONLY the AGW or could it be something else as well?
Keep up the great videos - they’re brilliant!!!

Thanks so much for your kind words, I can report that I have now fixed my no sound issue with a video coming soon on the amplifier fault. Have a look at my other videos on checking the different components with the fibre optic loop.

Hi @mikeclinch1141, well just to update my members, my Comand started playing up again after a few days with the 'system unavailable' message. So I decided that it has to be the Bose amplifier, I found a repair shop and got it serviced and repaired for £160. It is now in its way back to me and I will do a video update soon if it fixed the problem !
      Thanks GrooveOn

The large connector is an output for loudspeakers. The AGW , basis type has a built in amplifier which is not used in your car. The CANBUS (telematics) are the thin brown and brown/red wires in the MOST fibre optic plug. The thin pink wire in that connector is the wake up for the COMAND HU. If the AGW fails again (which it will) the problem is a defective/corrupted OASIS 8805 chip.

These are very expensive and complicated cars and now reaching the age where the electronic modules are starting to fail. Thankfully, there are several companies that will repair many of the control modules and the availability of used units is pretty good.

Thanks for your video, is great! I have a problem whith me R230, maybe you know how to solve it, as you have so much knoledge about this model, and also as you are such a handyman.
My SL seat is stuck, it doesn't go back or forward. Everything else in the seat works, the door controls are fine, relays fine.... the problem is the motor that moves the seat back and forward behind the seat, it's burnt for sure. So, as the seat is stuck in a too back position, I can take off the front screws but not the back screws. I can lift up the seat but still not enought clearence.
Do you know any tool or way to reach the back screws?
PD: Nothing happend when I hit the motor.
    Thanks for your help!!!

That's a shame, so you can't get to the back screws to remove the seat correct? But you can raise the seat up? Let me check my car tomorrow
