If you erase codes, drive the car for awhile and retest. If it checks misfires, warm the engine and erase misfires. It'll go to 0. Run the engine and check misfires. Normal is 0. 6 is worn plugs. See what the misfires have in common.
Great review. I bought one for my 3 SL’s even though I’m no expert. Once you get used to it and work out how to stop the initial health test running it really is very good. You mention it’s ’big brother’. Did you work out which model that is? Maybe it’s in a more recent video. Keep it up. Great stuff.

Had one of these for about a month for my 2002 R230. Sl500. Brilliant bit of kit. Sorted many many many error codes, fixed the roof error and battery error. Lots more to use it for and play with though it seems. Would recommend highly, in fact I have and know a couple of others who bought it in a merc group I mentioned it in after too.
@@GrooveOn Hi yes indeed. I have been used to autel in the past which are as they are... This was a little weird but is second nature now after quite a few uses. I have a friend at merc and I'm surprised at what this can do for this price. (the merc was also put on star by my friend and all codes cleared apparently, then I plug this is and it found quite a few left in there
It would be fantastic, if you could have a look at the variant coding and check whether the device supports changing the fuel consumption unit (e.g., from "km/l" to "l/100km"). It would also be great, if you could check whether it supports changing the phone (TEL) option between "present" and "not present". It is really great that this affordable scanner supports some variant coding on Mercedes cars, I'm just wondering whether those two options are supported.
Great review. I've got the topdon 1 way and icarsoft also 1 way the launch looks good as you know there's a few processors in the sl looks like you could pinpoint a fault so easy with the 2 way system. Thanks for sharing John

Nice review. Was wondering how well the Creader worked. Based on what you showed, I'm not 100% sold on it, regardless of the price. I would be verry interested in seeing your review of Launch's next level up scan tool. At this point, the Autel seems to be the best choice. I know it's expensive, but more user friendly.

I did get the launch Elite 2.0 i did clear some codes but can you make a video on how to check the vacuum pump using the launch v2,0 I would even pay you i do not want to rip it out for no reason if i can turn it on with the launch then I will know T/K you sorry just new to all this

are you referring to when you press the seat top button to move it forward to access the back? When I press mine it tilts forward and then moves the base forward, so is your seat not tilting forward. I did get into the seat menu and there are some settings in there to test and set
@@GrooveOn Thx but no, im referring to regular/door controls.. willing to move seat base all the way back but to keep seat tilt until it touches the back panel (max).. as the seat travel back backrest start (at the end) tilting forward! The question is how to trick this automatic tilting.. im 193 cm so every cm means treasury to me.. 😇
@@sasa-ip7jo Oh I know what you mean... but when the auto tilt goes forward, it is pretty much touching the back no? There are settings on the Launch to move the seat manually and there are warnings of crushing, as you said you would need to do this at risk.
I love the w210 I had one for years! The 1999 w210 I believe has the round 38 pin on the ECU box in the engine, you can get an adapter to plug in the rectangular OBD2

I had an older Mercedes W120 which had the round 38pin OBD, I just bought a converter to rectangle and my diagnostic worked

Can this do an SBC presses reset for R230 SLs?
I checked the SBC for you, you can test it, but I didn't find a reset option. I have seen devices online though.
