Was looking for a keen brella guide and found it ❤
my main abillitys i use on bella are quick respawn , run speed , and swim speed. while subs are ink recovery up as well main and sub up i find its pretty decent but what do you think?
@@subjectnivleis7572 I don't thikn Sub Saver is great on Brella with how costly Brella is. It's not really saving you many shots when using it, plus Main saver is just better most of the time.

Until then here's a rundown of 5 seconds tutorial from low level perspective:
Only works on splatzones, hit and run, go and be a pest with mines and people will both love and hate you.
If you want gameplay and some advice, there's a Japanese youtuber who is probably the best Undercover player worldwide. I can link it if you want, as I think there isn't a top level western undercover user lmao

brella players eating good with squid school content. i've been having a hard time finding good brella players to watch so i really appreciate these!
I think it's so cool to notice how each player thinks about the game differently from the way they explain things.
I have loved the brella content, I wish they were in a better state in the third game, but the idea of being the distraction / shield for teammates has always been my favorite playstyle in any game. These videos led me to play some undercover with the tips from the Tent-brella video and I'm amazed how much for fun I've been having even with those tiny tips. Being able to "Get Done Mx. Squid-sident!" and or getting aggro swipers to chase me into mines for a kill has been a HOOT.
Is this series going to be limited to the more niche weapons, or will it eventually cover more popular/meta stuff too?
Would love one of these in-depth videos on one of the super aggressive QR weapons like tetras or wiper
I totally agree. I'd love a stamper video, especially because i feel like it's pretty nuanced as far as main weapons go, and I could really use an in depth guide

I love these videos! I love getting to know more about these weapons especialy for weapons like this who aren't really used much. With the other vids I picked the weapons up to play for a bit with the advice from the video to try to get better myself with them.

Hi Gem, I really enjoy this kind of content. Especially, since you're talking to someone who knows the ins and outs of a weapon very well. In addition to having them coach you for 2 matches, I think it would be a good idea, to have your guest play one match (or have footage of a match that highlights certain points) and then have them comment on the match. I don't know whether that's feasible, but it would be a good addition to have a case study like that, I think.
I remember fighting a splatbrella as a Flingza and that was an awful match up for me, they could flare before every vertical swing

I swear, every video is perfectly timed. I just started trying to learn brella a few days ago!
I will play this and tent again if is actually get care by the devs. They are so healthy for the game for their design bc you can make them great but you have a lot to deal with it and it it isn’t something that instantly pulls a shield out since you HAVE to fire the weapon that is has very poor ink efficiency. e.g. the new weapon classes stringers (idk if reef lux can tho) and Splatanas can absolutely wreck them and machine wrecks it. For the favorable matchups, subs like burst bomb isn’t always effective and dualies + shooters like what people know keeps them in check
this video was so inspiring i cant wait to use brella now and go back to a rank!

Thanks for doing these videos! I think all us brella players will gladly admit that the weapons need buffs and kits, but them getting completely dismissed out of hand by folks who haven't actually tried to understand how they work best has been frustrating.
As an Undercover main I LOVE hearing well-thought-out critiques of where it falls flat and ideas for buffs for it that would bring it up to par, but am at the same time so tired of hearing opinions from people who clearly don't understand the mechanisms behind it at all and have clearly only ever tried to shoehorn it into what roles they THINK the weapon should be instead of taking the time to understand its strengths. There's a lot more going on with them than most folks think, and I firmly believe that they're just a single good patch away from being made serious contenders -- Nintendo just needs to actually DO it. And that's very possible! Look at what happened to Wiper and Big Swig.

As someone who mains Areospray RG I have to ask:
I have a legitimate question for y'all, Who here ACTIVELY uses the sprinkler for killing?
Reason why I'm asking is cuz I've got to be the only person I know who ACTIVELY uses the SPRINKLER for killing people.
It's not an effective weapon, but that's not it's purpose. It's a sentry trap if you will for cornering opponents
It's purpose is ink control, coverage... AND additional chip damage.
It's perfect for crushing in opponents who stick too close to the wall, assuming you're not dealing with a Dualie user, but even then, the shots will hit them faster if they try to dodge roll out of that position, which forces them to fight you head on. So technically, you can take a dualies in that sort of situation, assuming you have the range. So watch out for Double squelchers if you want to try this yourself.
I think this strat especially works well against heavyweight weapons with long windups like dynamos. just because it cuts down the kill time for you by essentially doubling your DPS should you notice the enemy first. Obviously I kinda doubt this would work on something like a brella, but with a weapon that has a faster DPS rate to begin with perhaps it's actually a tactic WORTH considering, albeit rather situational.
Alternatively Plant the sprinkler at their feet during that dynamo wind up, Dodge through your ink (Preferably with Ninja squid), And shoot at the weakened opponent for an easier kill time!

Hope next season we get our new first brella kits. I'm sure by the end of this year we should get at least one new kit which could turn the poor reputation of the brella nowadays
I mean kits aren't currently the problem for 2/3 of the brellas, it's just balance. splat is undertuned, vac is undertuned, fix the stats of the two normal brellas and make vac viable and suddenly they're pretty strong and have not bad synergy. under has an abysmal kit but even a good kit likely won't fully return it to its splatoon 2 glory days because its main stats are still so bad, and it's just an inherently flawed weapon, really hard to make playable without making it broken
