Everyone uses sand. I like the mica you used. I grew up in Hawaii. That popular picture with the colorful sailboats lined up on the beach is the beach I grew up on. So I guess pretty much the same color sand. Also the beach at the end of Water World. Spent summers camping there. Oh boy getting homesick again. 😢 I'll try the mica for sand.

How do you know how much resin to make up for the size of ur piece to make sure you have enough? Looks beautiful 😍

I know the amount of resin needed through experience but you can go to a site ie. Art Resin and they have a resin calculator and this would be a good guide for you to start with.
