關於食物壞左或變質: flat (beer); rancid (油益左); rubbery (carrot, watermelon); stale (bread) A sudden malfunction or irregularity of equipment: glitch Melody的英文詞彙...夠胆出片教英文....一個"服"字.
又是我教 Ms Tam 英文時間,上次說 on the house = free,是有下文 The meal is on the house, so, Ms Tam, fill your boots Fill one's boots = have or do as much of something as one wants Ms Tam 甘貪婪一定會啦
Out of order usually applied to a service in public area. Escalator, lift, public toilet, vending machine, and so on. We usually used malfunction to something not working as expected. “The washing machine at home is malfunction.”
To be grammatically correct, the sentence should be written as 'the washing machine is in the state of malfunction.' OR 'the washing machine is not working.' 'Malfunction' is a noun which cannot come immediately after the verb (is).
The bread has gone stale. (no longer fresh) The milk is off = The milk has gone bad Stale = no longer fresh (of food) also = no longer able to perform well or creatively because of having done something for too long (of a person)
Good results in exam are sometimes not equivalent to the depth of knowledge, especially in HK, where students are trained to demonstrate their exam skills. Exam results and knowledge are two different issues!!!😊

please advise when to use “mal function”, “out of order”? Thank you.

中文用語酸敗。English word rancidification. How to use or how about rancidication in English?
"rancid" used as an adjective, example: The butter had turned rancid.
謝謝 十分實用呀

6:47 occasion的發音不正確。Occasion的o是unstressed vowel,但她把occasion的O當成stressed vowel。查查牛津或劍橋字典的IPA發音.🤭🤭🤭
放過佢啦. She's not a native speaker, but a braggart.
感謝你🙏
The telly's buggered = The TV is broken
The engine / car stalled = it stopped running and functioning
machine其實用broken down都得🤔🤔
發生故障只知道用out of order🤔謝謝 Melody Tam😁
a sudden, temporary malfunction or irregularity of an equipment: glitch. Example: a file was lost in a computer glitch.
Goodness gracious me.

@@karinkingsley8514 Well said.
The food is rotten. 我會咁講。
