As an American I love these shows because we don't have anything like this in America! The closest we've come is 'Club Med' which was really only for single 20-30 year olds.
I went to Benidorm in the late 60’s/early 70’s and it was amazing. Hardly any Brits and massive hotels. Beaches were empty and it was a wonderful place. I loved it then, but wouldn’t go anywhere near it now!!
What sold it to you in the 60s and 70s? I feel like though there always a nicer town hidden somewhere near by. Like I hated Cancun in Mexico but liked Playa del Carmen nearby. It was quieter and more upscale
I will never understand why you would move abroad to meet people from your own country?? What’s the point? I lived in Madrid and travelled all over Spain, except for this area, which I avoided on purpose…

totally with you! these people are embarrassing. all they want is 'The Sun' They don't give a damn that they have plonked themselves in another country, another culture, with amazing landscapes, huge history and traditions. they all seem to have the IQ of an olive stone and as long as they can give themselves skin cancer 'Happy days'
How old is this series? Apartments in Torre Lugano, which the two gay guys looked at for 600 Euro a month, now rent for between 90 and 150 Euro per night! 😮 And they look amazing… I thought the one they chose was very underwhelming, although the surroundings were nice

Too many people for me or it at least appears to be. I would go the RV route. I would love to live where you can walk to most everything 💕
I am glad we see more of Chris and Garry, they are such nice lovely people. I want to see them do well in getting jobs.
