KH, your reactions are probably the most important in the industry. If someone wants to learn about unique insights in a song...especially rap you are the man. My friend, keep grindin and makin the changes to make more quality music. Never stop my friend. You are onto something. Peace, love and joy. Godspeed. P.S. how about reacting to an older NF song called CIRCLES?
Cow Tiger The Search - I can be critical, never typical, intricate with every syllable, in a criminal. intimate but never political, pretty visual” Leave Me Alone - “panic stricken, handle business, not a joke, yeah, manners missing, travel different, no control, yeah. time to listen, time to zip it, keep it closed” Intro - “aint never no chillin when i’m in the building, NF is a monster, I am a villain. my music is sick and you don’t know what ill is. you better get back, I don’t write any filler i’m feeling a million” ... Paid My Dues - “I spit it with ease so leave it to me, you doubt it but you better believe, i’m on a rampage, hit em with the record release”
"I miss the days - NF " is really good , my favorite of him I think, "intro 3" too 👍 (by the way, just found out about this TH-cam Chanel and I love it so far)
I've listened to this whole album and in my opinion the bests are - The Search - Change - Nate - Time And when I'm upset I like to listen to -Hate Myself
for me the most emotional impactful and positive song on the album. its so humble. the song goes against the millenial 2020 culture of "HOW DARE YOU SAY I SHOULD CHANGE WHO I AM!?" and instead says "you know you arent the first person to make me aware of that flaw in myself and maybe I need to look at my own life and make a change for the better. maybe I do need to make a positive change because its for the best. because I should never stop working on myself." we decided in our culture full of irresponsible people that advocating change in a persons life, is insulting and "hateful" because it MUST mean you hate that person and are taking away their freedom to "be themselves". phrases like "haters" or "toxic" have now been dedicated to deflecting responsibility to avoid admitting that you have flaws like a normal human being and you should try and look for change in yourself. because people are too prideful and angry to admit they arent perfect. this song is the opposite of every other shit rap song screaming "fuck the haters bro". its instead acknowledging the fact that theres something inside him that he wants to change and hes searching for that positive change and listening to good advice and enlightening himself to his own character flaws. the phrase for that type of insight is called wisdom. humility. grounding. Nate doesnt think hes a good person he says it himself. people around him think hes a good person but he feels fake. and the reason why we like him and why he is one of the greatest people I know is because his eyes are open only to judge himself. and he judges himself hard. he doesnt pedestool himself by have high held "standards" he instead is indirectly risen above the crowd by looking inward instead of out. his action his insight his wisdom is shown so well through this song. hes the greatest rapper because hes not out to look good or make a plug or be an SJW or make a statement. hes out to incite positive change within people as individuals and have that effect on people that grounds them and brings them back to earth which then spreads to others around them. and before you know it his entire fan base become all the better for it and that realistic message of inward judgement and review spreads further out and changes hearts and minds without ever forcing a blunt message down your throat. He speaks of himself not out of selfishness but out of personal experience. hes not going to write and make statements about something he doesnt know for 100% fact himself. he owns only himself so he writes only of his own experiences. this song makes me cry every time. because it cuts so deep. its encouraging and NF is my hero and human example of true Godliness
I’ve said it before - the introspection of Nate is on another level with his music. He’s so raw, so honest, and that’s why so many people like you and myself connect with him. He keeps it true to his world and music is his truly outlet for self discovery and coping. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for supporting the channel. Stay safe 🙏
“I don’t know, it’s hard to explain...” Knox Hill And basically every other NF fan.... I been listening to him heavy since Therapy Session and I still have that reaction Brother.... we all do.... seen Nate in Louisville, KY in September and if anyone hasn’t seen bro live, he is something amazing performing these things live.... love your reactions Fam
Actually you'll find him doubling his lines in the song Therapy Session which's one of my favorite tracks of his. i don't mind him doubling his lines, but you can see his progress as a rapper from Therapy Session LP to The Search LP. he doesn't need to do the doubling now
I like how don't just break down the bars but also discuss the production/instrumental work and how it all works together. It really makes you stand out from others so keep doing that. There's more layers to unravel and you seem to get it. Love it!
NF used the same choir vibe in his chorus for Therapy Session. I also love your reaction to his music because it’s more in depth and raw than other reaction youtubers out there
The first time I heard this song I had my earphones in, volume max and when the first "CHANGE" hit I felt that in my SOUL this will forever be one of my favorite songs
I love how you really put yourself right in the song and take it all in.. The beat as well as the lyrics and break everything down for us. Shows what a great artist/teacher you are. Thank you
Best analytical reactor on TH-cam for rap. Knox Hill, love your reactions man. Keep it up. You're channel's gonna blow up soon my friend. Thumbs up mate!
I love how well you break down nfs work and show up stuff that most people don’t catch up when they listen to him. I hope this is enough for someone to understand his level. Keep it up. 🔥
The lyrics really hit me personally. Almost everything in that song is stuff i got going on right now. Cried the first time i heard it. Hearing somebody go through the same things is sad because i don't wish this these thoughts on good people. At the same time it helps to hear i'm not alone in this.
Knox Hill, there are several reactors I enjoy and all for different reasons. You've taught me a lot about what goes into making good music with the breakdown of technical skills. It isn't overwhelming for an outsider. Also, you have to be one of the most positive people I've ever listened to. Even when a piece isn't your favorite, you stay so humble in the way you choose to express it. Thanks for the work you do.
5:36 Very true on that synergy part. I heard in an interview that him and Tommy would work on the beat first and then NF would take it home and put lyrics to it.
Your break downs and ability to explain your impressions are great. The way you express your thoughts and your experience in music really compliment your reaction to NF's music. We have a long journey ahead so you got my sub so I can ride along!
I had an accident falling from a ladder 25' up, I knew something was wrong internally, a couple neighbors and my family came up while I'm trying NOT to start freaking out and they're all talking to me at once an my head starts spinning, all I could think to say was quote this song, "I need a moment of silence". My son picked up on it and laughed right away. Ended up with 2 broken ribs and a cracked vertebrae.
I Realize I could say this on every NF reaction you put out but I thought this song would be a perfect song to tell you that I really appreciate the time and respect you give to the artist who is The creator behind the song
On of my favorite things about NF is that he is easily one of the most methodical artists is how he lays out not only his tracks but his albums as a whole. This song and "my stress" are my top 2 songs on this album. And by the way i really appreciate how detailed you are in dissecting the tracks. Don't know many reactors that will break down the lyrics and the best so well.
Great job....very insightful, appreciate the knowledge you provide from the other side. There are interviews with him talking about the writing and production side and you were exactly right. Tommee Proffit (his producer) is a GENIOUS!! They go in the studio...Tommee puts on the beat/instrumentals and Nate starts writing while he listens to it...right them and there...that is his process, he says, MOST of the time...not all the time but for the majority. Thanks again!
NF is by far one of the most talented artists out right now. You should react to Grizzy Hendrix new song called Drama. Your probably one of the few reaction channels that could break down the bars.
Not sure how I wasn't subbed to you because your always in my suggestions when you upload because I watch all your vids guess I never hit that sub button. I have now though
You hit on something that is key. We all go through stuff, but the artistry of music is the ability to put those struggles into words to tell a story that other people can relate to. I personally struggle with my putting my thoughts and emotions into words in general, that’s not even trying to make them into a song that others can relate to. That’s why I’ll always respect those who have the ability to do so.
I’m pretty sure NF makes his own beats too as well as write them and rap and sing and produce them he is amazing I love him he helped me through a lot‼️much love for him💯♥️and great video keep going‼️
I feel this might be your best breakdown... you are definitely more than a reactor. It is nice to see things through your eyes and hear things through your ears. Thanks.
The reason it sounds as if they were written together is because Nate writes his own beats as he is writing the song according to an interview a while ago. So talented man. Also - really appreciate your breakdowns. Super intelligent and very well-spoken. The breakdowns on nf are equally talented my friends. I enjoy your videos!
Appreciate that, and thanks for the input! Yea it definitely sounds that way, such great synergy between beat and lyrics, it’s on another level. Thanks for supporting man 💯🤟🙌💯
he relates pain to a drug because of his mom. listen to 'How Could You Leave Us' and everything will make a million times more sense and you'll remember lines you thought you understood that completely change. It's amazing, really!
I wish i could listen to music through your ears, i think it would be like seeing colour for the first time, your knowledge and passion for it is incredible, keep it up bro i love your content!
What I like about you is that you see the song and listen to it the way that other people don’t it’s not a song it’s more than a song it’s life what people are actually going through people cages listen to the song and not care less of what it’s about
U need to react to his freestyles!! There's a compilations video of him freestyling and its insane how he just does it. Also imagine having a concert with an orchestra backing him up.. THAT WOULD BE INSANE! especially this song and just in general bcuz his music is very cinematic. Bring me the horizon a metal/rock band did it couple years ago in london in Albert hall a big venue with full orchestra and choirs doing the back up vocals and it was goosebump worthy amazing!
5:30 NF has said in interviews that he sometimes just has a small amount of instrumental and sometimes in his car or wherever, he'll listen to it and he may come up with an idea in his head. That's why it all works so well. Just thought I'd throw that out there lol.
Also at 3:10 "It had an imagine dragons feel to it". The song is called change and this is a different kind of chorus to what NF usually does, it is a change. Idk, maybe this is a long stretch to find something.
Love the insight. Thanks for sharing man! Interesting to know his creative process, and also it may be a stretch but it’s such a perfect point that ‘change’ is literally a change in his musical approach. Thanks for sharing man 🙌
nf : "You dont know what love is until you're holding on to something that you cant loose......." knox hill: *pauses* how many time have we said this, how many times have we said this man does not write with a pen, he writes with a shovel because there are layers to his lines.......... _a few years later_ nf releases Layers.. and the first line goes nf: I got layers to me, I got plans I got goals, I got tricks up ma sleeve....

What this guy is saying!!^^ keep it up
Right
AYYYY CIRCLES I HAVENT HEARD THAT ONE IN FOREVER
NF Carries the beat, with most rappers the beats carry them.
yeah he has a nice flow but the lyrics aren’t really there
@@frank5480 then you have no idea what you're talking about.
Isidro Garcia
i’ve been listening to rap and NF for years and could probably cite a few reasons and lines of how his lyrics aren’t really up there
@@frank5480 may i have an example? Purely curiosity pushing me for this.

I've listened to this whole album and in my opinion the bests are
- The Search
- Change
- Nate
- Time
And when I'm upset I like to listen to
-Hate Myself
I disagree I think' like this' ' no excuses' 'options' and returns r his best on this album
But I love the whole album trauma is probly my least fav
Did you guys forget WHY?
i love 'only' and 'leave me alone'
basically every song is awesome!
When NF got more bars then a prison 🤪
Love what you said
for me the most emotional impactful and positive song on the album. its so humble. the song goes against the millenial 2020 culture of "HOW DARE YOU SAY I SHOULD CHANGE WHO I AM!?" and instead says "you know you arent the first person to make me aware of that flaw in myself and maybe I need to look at my own life and make a change for the better. maybe I do need to make a positive change because its for the best. because I should never stop working on myself." we decided in our culture full of irresponsible people that advocating change in a persons life, is insulting and "hateful" because it MUST mean you hate that person and are taking away their freedom to "be themselves". phrases like "haters" or "toxic" have now been dedicated to deflecting responsibility to avoid admitting that you have flaws like a normal human being and you should try and look for change in yourself. because people are too prideful and angry to admit they arent perfect. this song is the opposite of every other shit rap song screaming "fuck the haters bro". its instead acknowledging the fact that theres something inside him that he wants to change and hes searching for that positive change and listening to good advice and enlightening himself to his own character flaws. the phrase for that type of insight is called wisdom. humility. grounding. The vocals at the end, reminds me so of the 90s. Those night songs who still alive as we speak.

I know tomme profit produces alot of his songs. I absolutely love tommes sound and you can hear it in NFs music
A lot of NF's music I believe is created as he writes, that's why a lot of the beats and production feel so in sync with his voice.

Loved how you used word synergy to describe his flow Perfect
And "I Miss The Days:" .... another with a choir in the background
Watching this reaction in May 2020, that intro hit a little different.
