    I don't know why is so hard to Hasbro to make just a single DD without all those prices walls wtih sets. King DD is fine, but those knees, WTF.

    • @ComicallyToys
      @ComicallyToys  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      😂😂😂 The tough thing is that DD IS popular, but not Spider-Man popular. So like, there is demand for him, but not enough actual people with money to justify more solo releases of him. He's a weird character in that regard.

      He's a weird middle ground where he isn't as popular as Spider-Man so Hasbro doesn't make a lot of him, but there are enough fans that like him that he's sought after!

      Rarity, not many decent versions of the red costume, now that there’s the red one and cel shaded one, enough fans would overspend to get him. I did that for the cel shaded version and I think it’s my favorite marvel legends figure. The articulation and accessories with the extra head is almost Mafex quality

    Kinda crazy too see how often certain parts get shared among each release. I like the detailed boots the most though, wish the other ones had that with the toe articulation added as well.

    • @ComicallyToys
      @ComicallyToys  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah! Hasbro gets heat(rightfully) for how much they reuse stuff, but I'd say in the last several years they've gotten much better about doing new stuff. I'll be interested to see how much more toe articulation we see as we continue on with new releases. And if female figures will get it too. And will they attempt the old Toybiz hand/finger articulation? That would be interesting although I don't know if I would want or will like that if they do it.

      Sorry for the delayed response! I wasn't necessarily planning on it, but I may consider it. I have the Mafex Spidey and it is pretty sweet... I do feel like the 3 pack DD is easily a definitive one for me, but I can certainly be swayed! Are you thinking about getting it?

  • @DanBickeru
    @DanBickeru 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    The three pack release isn't really more accurate color-wise, the older figures were just based on a different era. The all red body with a lighter or darker shade for the gloves and boots is based on how he was usually drawn in the 60's and 70's, especially by the red suit's creator Wally Wood. By the 80's it started to really depend on the artist and colorist if there was any difference at all.

      @ComicallyToys  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Which one are you referring to? If you mean Toybiz era then no I don't. I consider Hasbro's era really starting around 2014 because that's when they really started leaving behind the Toybiz designs and doing their own thing. Though if you're referring to something else then please let me know!!

      I DO!!! ToyBiz Daredevil was awesome!!! A little weird on the shoulders, but excellent articulation otherwise!
      Of course, there's the Ben Affleck movie version, which was crap... but I had that one, too.
      THEN, there was a Kingpin/Daredevil 2 pack!... buuuuut, that figure was freakin' Aweful!... just hideous.

    I have the Hob Goblin DD figure and mine has some very weird QC issues. Mine’s ab crunch is HORRENDOUSLY loose tho I’m chucking that up to age but mine’s left hand shoulder has a VERY tight ratchet and I’m surprised it hasn’t broken after all these years.
    If anyone knows how I can fix the ab crunch and the shoulder please let me know

    • @ComicallyToys
      @ComicallyToys  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is a joint fixer product you can purchase. I bought some to test with, but just haven't gotten around to trying it. As far as loosening the shoulder i wonder if you could heat it up with hot water and just keep moving it to see if that helps to loosen it.

    Great comparison. I was going to say, "You forgot about the Marvel Unlimited exclusive" yellow Daredevil, but you did include that one. I got that version and gave it to a friend whose favorite character is DD.
    I originally had that three-pack pre-ordered but I couldn't justify it given that I already had Bullseye and wasn't really interested in the white Elektra. Now of course it's sold out and I'm just waiting for Hasbro to re-release that classic Daredevil on the RYV buck again. He looks so good when he's posed compared to the others.

    • @ComicallyToys
      @ComicallyToys  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually filmed this awhile back and only now edited/released so I was a little worried too that I didn't include it, but was glad it was there during the edit! 😂😂😂
      Yeah the Bullseye was REALLY lazy unfortunately. The Elektra is a nice release, but I don't blame ya since not everyone wants every character! As far as another release, I hate to say it, but it might be quite some time unless they do the release as an animated release or something similar. In my research(taken with a grain of salt), Hasbro makes the most figures for these characters(in order): Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, Captain America. Daredevil is in 15th place with only 10 releases at the time that I created my spreadsheet.
      With that said I hope I'm wrong because I love when my fellow collectors can get what they want!

    is the hobgoblin wave still worth buying today? found one online for a fair price. the other DD's are so hard to find and quite expensinve 😅

    • @ComicallyToys
      @ComicallyToys  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Personally I don't think it is. The most ideal is the 3 pack or VHS one, but I know those aren't necessarily easy to find either. DD is one of those characters where there isn't as widespread interest in him so there aren't too many figures of him, but the fans that do like him, really like him, so the aftermarket costs on him tend to be a little high.
      If you're open to other lines, Mafex Daredevil will be the classic suit and should be arriving soon. I just saw a listing on BBTS for it.

      @@ComicallyToys yeah, its just that the 3pack and VHS one are so pricey here in my country (PH) and hard to find.
