Doc Ock (Animated) Mysterio (Lizard) Shocker (retro) Rhino (retro) Scorpion (Retro) I mean I have a few other Spider Rogues but I figure what I have is pretty passable. Beetle (Janice Lincoln) Hydro-Man Venom (a mix of the symbiote three-pack one but with a custom head) Hobgoblin (Absorbing Man?) Along with a Lizard (Retro), Carnage (Venom and the Absolute Carnage one), Demogoblin, Green Goblin (Sandman), Kingpin (retro), and the Rose. Though I'm debating getting a final member of my Sinister Six like Kraven (Rhino) due to Spider-Man 2 piquing my interest in that variant of the Hunter. Or a Vulture. I saw a Demogoblin but the price was WAAAAAY too high at a toy show. Along with at said same toy show I found an Ultimate Vulture quite cheap ($15) but passed on him because the paint on the wings was bad additionally one of the wing sections was broken too).
I'm really glad I could be helpful to you! What's really fun is that there have been so many versions of the Sinister 6 that you could put together pretty much any 6 Spidey villains and it would work! Demogoblin is a GREAT figure. Probably my favorite Goblin figure just because of how much detail it has and the sculpt is really well done. And yeah when I was hunting for Ultimate Vulture for this video there were quite a few that have flaking on the wings so I got lucky with the one I ended up with. I'd say get Kraven! Hopefully the retro one isn't too expensive, but also when the Kraven movie comes out it could bring up the price of his figures so you want to get in on them before that happens!
@@ComicallyToys I'm thinking on getting the Rhino Kraven. I love the Skull kneecaps and the look more than the crazy mad one that was used for the Retro too.
You definitely can't go wrong with that one. The skull kneecaps are definitely really cool and I don't think we have a single other Legends with those.
Found both a Kraven (Rhino) and a Vulture (Ultimate) for reasonable prices ($40 and $15). The only downside is the Vulture one only came with one head, but the body and wings were too pristine in condition not to resist. So I have to ask you since you own both. If I bought the old-school Vulture would its head fit on the Ultimate's body? I know it's the same mold but more worried the ball joint connecting won't work.

Mafex Spidey is great! And I'm definitely really interested in the Venom one too. So the Spider-Man vs the Sinister Six on retro cards are actually not 6" figures so just make sure you know that before you buy them. I believe they are 3.75 inch scale. Otherwise it came out around 2017 or so. I do hope they make a Sinister Six set for the 6" Legends line because I think that would sell really well, but only time will tell if they do! Oh I have no doubt about that. I have some videos about Legends releases, but basically Spider-Man is pretty much their biggest character in terms of releases. He's the only character that gets at least one wave of figures every year. So there will forever be more Spidey figures haha!
Really great look at these! I have many of them. The Retro Electro is the best! Much better than the earlier version. I also have the first Doc Ock, and both Mysterios. I have the Vulture, but prefer the Adrian Tooms head. I wish he had that classic Vulture hump on his back. It's a little cheesy that Hasbro didn't try for that, and instead did just a regular torso reuse there. I like Kraven's original costume look, but I hate the head sculpt. Hasbro sculptors should be looking back at the original Ditko and Romita material as his look was more distinctive back then. Thicker eyebrows, a much lower, caveman-esque widow's point for his hair, and it was so far down on his forehead that it was threatening to touch his eyebrows! Little details like that gave him his brutish manly quality. Without those things, he's a tad generic looking, I think. I have the Retro Sandman, which is fine. Here's a Mysterio that I drew, that I thought you might like. I kind of redesigned his bodysuit just a bit, but it keeps his original flavor. I hope you enjoy it, man! www.lostonwallace.com/mysterioraw100.jpg
Thanks so much for your support as always! I didn't even think about the hump until after you said it, but I completely agree with you on that one. I wonder if they couldn't even sort of fake it with a sort of "pack" on his back so they didn't have to do a whole new mold for it, though obviously a new mold would have been ideal. And those are some interesting points about Kraven! At this rate though I won't be surprised to see a new Kraven come out on another Spider-man wave. Probably one that looks close to his 90s animated appearance. And I love that sketch! You definitely gave it the illusion vibe with all the lines going all over his body. :)
@@ComicallyToys This was done as a parody, but this is how I draw Kraven. Notice the facial details that harken back to his classic look that distinguished him from other characters. @@ComicallyToys I'm glad that you enjoyed it though. Did you notice how I drew Kraven's face? Those little facial details can make and break a likeness on a portrait, and so to do they play an important role in making characters look familiar. My beef with Hasbro sculptors (and many modern comic book artists) is that they often overlook such details, and their work suffers for it. When you miss the little nuances of a character's distinctive features, you're removing the familiarity "tags" that fans have come to know. Hasbro's Kraven head sculpts are, frankly speaking, terrible. At best, they're generic. Classic Peter Parker could always be identified by his strong eyebrows, and he always had one or two little curls of hair that fell down upon his forehead. That curl is missing from the Peter Parker head sculpt that Hasbro gave us. That head sculpt is good, but if it would have had that, it would have been more identifiable as Pete. Superman has become so generic in the comic books today, that he varies from issue to issue, and you'd never know that it was the same guy if he wasn't wearing the same suit. His tags were: Strong, lantern jaw, cleft chin, strong cheekbones, S-shaped spit curl falling downward across the forehead, strong eyebrows, short hair, parted to the side. Take any combo of those things away from him, and he loses the look, and becomes generic. Hasbro sculptors are not good with eyebrow shapes, nor are they particularly good with expressive mouths. Often, they give everyone the same shaped lips too, and when they overdo the paint on the lips of male characters, things can look rather weird. The devil is in the details. It wouldn't hurt Hasbro (and other action figure company's) sculptors to use more classic reference imagery when doing iconic comic book faces. Since the '90s, artists have been encouraged to just do their own thing in comics. While this is good on the one hand, it does create a lot of visual inconsistency in the ways characters are portrayed, and Hasbro is borrowing too much from that inconsistent time period, so they wind up all over the place also. Comics from the '80s and backward are a better reference source for doing "retro" and "classic" looks.
@@lostonwallace1396 Yeah I definitely noticed that! And I didn't know about 90s artist being encouraged to do their own thing. That makes a lot of sense! I definitely would LOVE a true classic/retro Peter Parker head I think in particular if they release him as per the cover of Amazing Spider-Man 39 like with the torn civilian clothes revealing his Spider-Man costume underneath too that it would sell like hot cakes!

His hairline's "widows peak" is crazy low on his head. This gives him a bit of that throwback look, making him seem Neanderthal-like. images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/f/110f5833-7eb3-487a-b750-346eee699d0c/d5em17m-25d3f518-20a0-4101-b025-a3671b6e31a7.jpg/v1/fill/w_1024,h_764,q_75,strp/spider_man_vs_kraven_the_hunter_by_lostonwallace_d5em17m-fullview.jpg?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOjdlMGQxODg5ODIyNjQzNzNhNWYwZDQxNWVhMGQyNmUwIiwiaXNzIjoidXJuOmFwcDo3ZTBkMTg4OTgyMjY0MzczYTVmMGQ0MTVlYTBkMjZlMCIsIm9iaiI6W1t7ImhlaWdodCI6Ijw9NzY0IiwicGF0aCI6IlwvZlwvMTEwZjU4MzMtN2ViMy00ODdhLWI3NTAtMzQ2ZWVlNjk5ZDBjXC9kNWVtMTdtLTI1ZDNmNTE4LTIwYTAtNDEwMS1iMDI1LWEzNjcxYjZlMzFhNy5qcGciLCJ3aWR0aCI6Ijw9MTAyNCJ9XV0sImF1ZCI6WyJ1cm46c2VydmljZTppbWFnZS5vcGVyYXRpb25zIl19.oHPSuj8ZeMG3afikEsHC6ne_J1NRfiii5-m8wwJB60U
Hahaha that's hilarious and awesome!
My Six is a mix of comic & MCU figures.
I await your general derision & disapproval 🤪😎🪖
Hahaha no disapproval from me! I believe that there is no wrong way to collect! But now I need to know exactly which figures you've chosen!
@@ComicallyToys no worries! 😃 You’re really open and encouraging about collecting! I was just expecting that **someone** in the comments would object to mixing comic & movie figures.
To answer your question, my Sinister Six includes:
1. Green Goblin (Sandman wave comic figure on MCU glider)
2. Doc Ock (MCU)
3. Vulture (MCU)
4. Mysterio (MCU)
5. Sandman (comic BAF)
6. Electro (blue TASM2 Figure)
… and I’ve got modern Kraven (skull knee pads), Rhino (BAF) and a kitbashed Venom (3-pack head on King in Black body with 3rd party tentacles) waiting in the wings
@zenquantum1246 Haha well I feel like there is enough negativity in the hobby that maybe some positivity could help! And nice list! I do hope we get a proper Spider-Man 1 Green Goblin at some point because that glider(and figure of course) are really nice!
And as far as the rest of the list anything and everything counts since the multiverse can just explain it away! I'd be pretty happy with a full MCU Sinister Six team of figures. That would be fun. I'm curious if the new Kraken movie will be popular enough for them to make a figure. I doubt it, but who knows?
@@ComicallyToys fingers crossed for more great movie figures. (TASM1 Spidey will probably never get an update. *sigh*) Any plans for Morbius & Madam Web movie figures were probably shelved a long time ago, but I’m betting that “Kraven” might be where Sony starts to turn a corner 🤞🤞 and draft in the wake of “Deadpool & Wolverine” from Marvel proper.
Multiverse or no, the positive vibes are always appreciated! 😃
@@zenquantum1246 I actually really like how unique TASM1 suit is, but I agree it'll probably never happen. I suspect we PROBABLY won't get any Kraven figures either. I get the feeling that we only even got Venom because Sony went after Marvel HARD to get them to agree to have one made.
