great cards and ideas!
i don't think i would have thought about using the millions of backgrounds i have made over the years to make ornaments with. i have gelli plate ones, watercolor ones, alcohol ink ones. etc etc.
i am so excited to look through the bunch and start creating!
i also have a bunch of glitter nuvo drops that would have the same affect as the stickles.
an older video for sure but the ideas and techniques are still relevent!
thank you! thank you!
This is a awesome video. She gives information about a variety of things, using some brand names, but explains that you don't need $100 worth of equipment to make a pretty Xmas card. She seems very caring & sweet.
I will be referring back to this video a lot.
Love these. I have a ton of paper that I have no idea why I bought and running late on making cards. Thanks for sharing . ❤🌲
I made my Christmas cards last month using up my scrap Christmasy paper.....however.....they are all sitting on my desk, still waiting for an inside sentiments, signing and envelopes! LOL
Love how you made ordinary paper shine in a Christmasy way!
Love that ornament punch too!
+Carol S Thank you so much, Carol! Yes, I do like this punch as well. If you are curious, it is by Stampin' Up! from years back but I'm I'm sure they have something similar.
+Carol S Argh, I know all about memory losses, Carol. I've decided not to let them get me down. The way I see it is this: if we don't remember making this or that, isn't it fun to rediscovering it without knowing we've already done it?! We get to have fun twice! LOL
Have a wonderful day!
+creationsceecee LOL That's a great way to look at it!
Thanks, you have a wonderful day too!
Gorgeous cards!! And I so appreciate what you said about being thoughtful while choosing the sentiment. The true spirit of holiday kindness shows in how you treat those different than yourself.
+jadeinamorata Thank you!
i loved how you used whatever scraps you had!! I thought some of them weren't going to work for christmas cards, but you pulled it all together!! nice job!!
These are the best recycling ideas I have ever seen. I will remember them for my next recycling project. Thank you.
Absolutely love your creativity using your stash. Thank you.
I love them even the one you thought was bland because the tim of looks that way without Christmas
As usual you knocked it out of the park. I have not made Christmas cards because I don't like most of the christmas paper and don't want to buy a large pack of paper I don't like just to get 6 pieces I do like. And I haven't even complained about storing it until next year yet. lol
This is a perfect solution for me. Thank you so much for sharing
+JaciPaso Awesome! I'm so glad you like this solution. Thanks and have a wonderful week!
I have been making cards and book markers with my watercolor scapes. I just love it. Yours are gorgeous!!!
Love your cards. This makes me think a Christmas in July party would be a great idea and fun to mix and match all the "stuff" we have left over and don't want to throw away. Thanks for the inspiration - beautiful cards!
+mary w Wonderful idea, Mary!
I realize too this is an older video but I haven't seen and I love it! Great ideas and so simple and elegant! Something to get my mojo back thank you!☕😁💓
Never too late CeeCee you have inspired me to make or remake my own cards - I used to make my own cards from scratch on card stock and added my own photos...not cost effective at all as back in the day I had to also pay for developing🤣🤣🤣 so I gave made my own pretties thanks to you again with metallic acrylic paints which are gorgeous then added nice words in 2021!!! Yep 5 years later so never too late..so early merry Christmas to you and yours in Oct 2021 ha ha and I hope its the first 😊💜🦘🦘🦘🦘🎅🎅🎅
I'm so glad I went back to look at some of your earlier videos that I hadn't seen. What a great simple way to make cards. Thanks!
oh wow, you've discovered my secret : i used to be a cardmaker LOL. glad you like the older videos.
The purple Christmas tree you sketched with Stickles....I use to make those out of paper sacks ftom the grocery store.
What a wonderful idea. Lovely results. TFS. I did.
I love you and all your creative ideas!
I love the idea of using scraps and making Christmas cards. It is too late for this year, but I'm going to try this for next year's cards. Thanks for the inspiration!
+lsunmoonstar Or make them now while you're in the spirit of Xmas and that way you'll be ready for next year. Have a wonderful day!
I really enjoyed this video. I laughed how I stressed over the "perfect" card to send out. These were lovely and fun to watch you with your creativity. Happy Holidays!
+Claret Belle i used to stress over the holidays too, but no more. we need to remember to have fun and be peaceful on this occasion... and any other day of the year for that matter. thank you and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Awesome video! Watching you create these great cards only reminds me of the lack of creativity I have-but I am so not ashamed to copy your ideas! Lol!
please feel free to copy! i show my art so that people get inspired.
I love to make Christmas cards from the cards we received the previous year. Ultimate recycling😍 I also have found that even if I don't know someone's views on Christmas, the wishes and sentiments are appreciated anyway. 😊 I live in Belgium. You have such an amazing selection of hobby/crafts products over in Canada and US.. Not so much here and it's very expensive 😏 Anyway, even tho' this is an old video, I love your work. Happy crafting for this coming Christmas season!🤩
I love all of your cards. Those that receive them will love them. Thanks Cee Cee :-)
+Laurie Richardson Haley Thank you, Laurie!
You may never guess what I am doing on today's show...ha ha ha!
I love when you share your how and why. so HELPFUL! !!
Thanks my friend. I love them all...especially the "plain" one. ;)
Beautifully simple. Any kind of background, choice of three Embellishments , be it one or multiples, and a sentiment ( or not) .
Great cards and video, I have already made mine this year, but you have given me some fabulous ideas for next year. I always use different blingy nail polishes for my glitter and it works very well, tfs x
+Elizabeth Naisbitt Yes! i've done that in the past too. Blingy nail polishes make great glitter glues and once they are dry the smell disappears. Have a wonderful holiday season, Elisabeth!
Yes, you too x
Thank you for your beautiful ideas. I'm new to card making and these kind of videos never grow old to new subscribers. So thank you! {11/20/2016}
you are most welcome!
There are alot of things you can do with those little strips too. Don't throw them away, but if you don't want them I'll take them LOL.
Great suggestions. I only have 4 left to do, but after all the ones I have made over the last 6 weeks, I am tired of making Christmas cards. With your suggestions, I can do it! So thanks!
+cheryl7476 Yeah! so happy i was able to help!
Interested in knowing what that big tape machine is you used to tape the polka dot front of the card on. Love Love Love these!! Now I want to go out and spend $100 on more stuff!!!
thank you. the tape dispenser is an ATG 700 tape runner made by Scotch.
Nooooo always save the strips I use them on several of my cards- I realise this video is an old one- I love recycling and making cards etc 👍😄 great job X
What fun! I love your idea!
CeeCee, these are fab!! So cute! Claudia
So much fun! I love all of your pretty papers combined to make such original cards, CeeCee. Even though you used the Happy Holidays sentiment, I wonder if a Christmas tree image would be appropriate for those who don't celebrate Christmas? Just a thought.
+Joy Meadows I didn't think about that when I made it. But it can be interpreted as being a tree in the forest. I hope nobody will get offended. That was not my intention.
+creationsceecee It doesn't offend me because I do celebrate Christmas! It is so hard to be "appropriate" these days, isn't it? Anyway, I didn't mean to be negative. May you have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy 2016, CeeCee!
+Joy Meadows Joy, you didn't sound negative at all. You are correct, it's very difficult to be appropriate. I think if the card is given in good faith, hopefully the recipient will understand and appreciate. All the best to you for this holiday season and may 2016 bring you all that desire and need. Hugs.
Wonderful ideas! I will do this with old cards I'd kept! Thank you so much!
Love this idea and the cards turned out so awesome! Thank you for the inspiration.
+Marisol Pearls You're very welcome!
Thought the same thing about that 'done' pile Lynn! But great video for beginners CeeCee.
Watched your 2014 studio tour today and subscribed! Love your work and thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas from Melissa in Texas
+Melissa Edwards Awsome! welcome to my channel -- i hope you'll enjoy the future videos! All the best for the New Year to you and yours!
Beautiful cardsand so unique!
Beautiful cards 🤗🤗
love them! and I just finished 6 more cards! must get them in the mail.....and I will look at non Christmas paper in the future!
+Dee Vowell Congrats on finishing your cards! Thanks for your comment :-)
I have papers and bling stuff stuck in my stash as well. I am not good at remembering to use them. Perhaps i should have a cardmaking craze in January so I have cards to use for the rest of the year. I have never been a cardmaker but cards arent hard to make at all and a bit fun to. Yours came out gorgeous. :)
+Lele Lineca There you go! What a fantastic idea to do in January. Better yet, get together with some friends and open your stash to all. It's a great way to share both supplies and ideas. Have a lovely day!
Great ideas! Thank you so much. 🤗
Not late at all! I am completing my cards now. :) Happy Holidays! Sharlene
+SGBCrafts Wonderful, Sharlen! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that's late :0)
love! love! your cards, such a great idea. thanks for sharing
+Angelina Santiago Thank you, Angelina!
Love doing this great idea…thank you so much
question....what is the name of the ornament punch?
+Gina Ahrens it's a Stampin' Up! punch from years ago... unfortunately, I don't have the specific name. I'm sure they still have something similar in their current catalog.
❤ it! My new years resolution is to create christmas cards for next season. (Weird right?) This video is inspiring! Thankyou.
It's not christmas but I wanna try and me these myself 😄 your cards are so pretty!!
Such cute cards, I enjoyed watching you make these and I learned some new things also:-)
+Joyce Gandy So glad you learned something, Joyce. Thank you!
Awesome ideas. Please do more using scraps for cards?
Beautiful!

+Scrapitydoodah Thanks, Lynn!
Love them all Cee Cee
I also know this is an older video, but I use Merry Christmas for everyone. I hope they understand, but it's my way.
Kathy LeSageDON,T apologize for saying Merry Christmas! Jesus is the reason for the season!!
@@jeanettegibbs9148 😃👍 Thank you!! ❤
Always useful to have seasonal card ideas. Thank you xxx
Wow! These are just beautiful. What do you use for under paper? I've heard you mention it before in previous videos. Is it parchment paper or a roll of white paper for painting ( like the kind you get at the hardware store)?
+Elizabeth Ricard Thank you, Elizabeth. i use wrapping paper you get from a moving company. i had to buy a whole pack when i moved twice the last 2 years. i recycled them all and that's what i tape to my studio table.
Thanks, Cee Cee! J instead of S must be the reason I couldn't find them online earlier.
Great ideas...thanks for sharing.
+Sherri P Thank you, Sherri!
Great ideas! I’ve been making DIY Christmas Cards too. TFS 🎄⛄️❄️😘
This is an incredible video. I put it in my favorites.

+Gail Tuthill from Uline item #S-7643. they are called J-hooks hang tabs
Some great ideas!
Thanks-----
Love your cards .....
i love the magenta stencil .. do you know where i can get it. ?
you can find all magenta's stencils here: bit.ly/2iU6twU
the way i see that website they dont have it .. i think that website is hard to understand.. but thanks ..
I actually just liked the trees better, lined across happy holidays
inspiring, thanks for sharing!
I think the one you didn't like (although I did) could use a moon in the upper right of the scene.
+BlaizC true, but it's gone to someone who really liked it that way.
Cool!
Love you ideas.
c
+Cecilia Gallant Thank you!
for some reason I over think card making...size, sentiment, too much too little, should it back flip? somersault? spin? LOL....simple cards, big impact and using your stash....I can do this!!! TFS.....hugs, Stephie
+littleredwagonstudio LOL LOL you got this, Stephie... you got this! I believe in you!
Thanks needed simple cards
