Hey, I've used your ideas for Christmas cards for several years now (including your metallic dot trees on black paper, and your blobby green watercolor trees. LOVE them all!)
Full disclosure, I never used to send Christmas cards; I hated buying and addressing them. But since I found a couple of simple ideas for MAKING Christmas cards, I've loved doing this. Every year for the past 4-5 years I've done several different designs (some I find, some I come up with myself), and then have fun deciding who to send which design to!
This year one of my new designs is a version of this video -- using the widest flat brush I could find and using acrylic paint in green, silver, and gold, on black printer paper, decorating the resulting trees with poscas and , and then attaching the result to premade brown cardstock cards.
