people who don't like politics often doesn't know anything about the country or historical figures. as for people who often go through politics are far more likely to know all of these figures back to back

Kamala Harris is the first woman VP but there have been plenty more impactful VPs
even Jaquie Kennedy is less famous than her husband all things considered
..you CAN know them for what they achieved for women's rights but they were never top of their fields generally and when it comes to historical figures we tend to remember only the top 0.1% of their fields amongst which they mostly just ...weren't
most would have recognised Cleopatra, Elizabeth I & II, Marie Curie...they truly changed the world not just women's rights

This is not ignorance for womens achievements, this is an indictment of the school system.
And of people's desire to continue their educations past school, versus jerk it. I mean they knew certain pics very well, too well some might say.
Nah. Not being able to ID historic figures by sight doesn't mean they don't know anything about what they did.
Also if their fame is they're "the first woman to..." then there's not really much reason to remember them. "The first person to..." is what will be remembered. Most of the non-porn/pop icon women pictured are notable because of what they did regardless of their gender but I don't expect anybody who doesn't study history to know Harriet Tubman by sight and even Sally Ride, while more modern, is only going to be known by sight by people who were alive at the time which rules out anybody younger than 50.
They're also only going to show the people interviewed who are entertaining to the show's audience. Idiots are entertaining.

They actually teach us about this, I remember learning and having to make reports to hang in the hallways. Maybe it’s kids who don’t pay attention, because many will also say that they don’t teach us how to do our own taxes and I remember being passed out forms and having to learn.
As another poster mentioned, this is taught in schools, and at an early age. This is an indictment of our culture, where ignorance, which is a choice, is accepted. One is born stupid, intelligent, or just average, but ignorance is a choice, meaning you decide whether to know facts or not. And the most responsible? The parents. Every parent needs to first encourage and then even demand excellence from their children, long before the children enter the school system.
You stated your opinion, which is incorrect, so does this make you stupid, or just ill-informed? So, is YOUR ignorance an indictment of the school system? Rocks, glass houses, yada, yada.

They didn't even recognize Kamala Harris... our current Vice President of the United States. RBG passed away only 4 years ago and Malala (as also noted on here) is only 26 years old! They only really recognized porn stars, fictional characters, and socialites. The thing with most of the historical figures, is that we not only get very little education on them in our own education system, but we weren't shown their photos (I know I wasn't in High School or College)... and didn't know their faces until MUCH later in life).
