I started learning piano years ago, but then dropped out of it. My skill wasn't far from yours and with a proper practice I could've played this and maybe even better. This makes me want to start playing it again.
This is how my professor improvise on his preludes every chapel time in our school. I mean all those extra notes, that glissando, that programmatic style-----he do that everytime he play the prelude and he don't rehearse the songs. Well, THIS IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL COVER!
I've never really kept track of it but I would guess that this arrangement took around 8 hours, maybe a little less. I'll often work on arrangements over a period of 2-3 days while multitasking on other things.
