Pi is irrational, meaning that there will never be an infinite repetition like that, and so Dalton Weickert is correct in some form. The area in which he is wrong is that pi has 10 digits, 0-9. Our scale has 12 semitones, meaning that there are 2 tones that are never heard and therefore any songs containing those notes will never be played.

Holy crap sir this video was phenomenal. I don't always do so but I watched it in its entirety. Your original video I came across several videos was one source of inspiration for learning about pi and music theory (along with vi heart and my personal music journey). TH-cam is so awesome sometimes to see one of my favorite videos resurface years later. Great video, story, score, and the way you added the facts about pi made it that much more engaging.

Love this!!!! Been watching your pi-ano video forever. I was 12 as well when I discovered pi from watching Donald in Mathmagic Land. And the fascination took off. Discovered that my parents got married on pi day. And this year completed a pi-ece of art. I make dot mandalas and my tools came numbered what better way to be creative! Anyways it turned out awesome and just had a great first date on pi day this year! Yay music, art, and MATH! Pi forever! ( hee hee)
@Sai Sasank π can be compared to progressive metal, probably. As you said it has some local repeating numbers but not a repeating pattern. That should be the base structure of a progressive metal song.
