Great research mate, very informative.
No mention at all of the substantial iron age hillfort at Eston Nab which overlooked Middlesbrough and is the only one known in Cleveland. Its ramparts are still visible. Yet you mention Thorpe Thewles which is beyond Stockton! Middlesbrough Priory is depicted with generic priory image which is misleading. M'bro Farm is depicted with another generic image. An image for that does exist and could have been used. M'bro was THE iron-making capital of the world. BV & Co. THE world's biggest company in the world and Eston mine THE biggest ironstone mine in the world are massive facts that should have been included.
Was actually ‘Mydilsburgh’. ‘Middlesbrough’ didn’t exist until after Captain Cook died.
