Hello teacher. I have a bachelor degree in English.I am from Iraq.I have 19 year experience now .can i get a job in this case ? What if I get a a chevening Scholarship and finish it.
Hello I have enjoyed your video. I have a question, how would one manage school runs for kids aged 10, 7, 5 and 3 working as a teacher and dad always working 9 to 5 and not able to pick the kids after school. How do others teachers do it or even parents how do they manage at your school.
Hi, Very insightful video. I am currently in the UK and I have been a teacher back in Nigeria for 7years now. I want to get into teaching in the UK as a Teaching Assistant, of which I have almost 2 years experience in, I have toddlers and scared of the extra time one spends working as a full time teacher and I need sponsorship as a teacher. What best route would you advice I take to launch into the career in this new location? Do TAs work extra hours too? Will I be able to get sponsorship as a TA? Thank you.
Let me add my ten pence worth. Behaviour since smartphone in 2014, the ruse of social media and COVID lockdown has led to a much higher rate of disrespect and admin staff plus executive do not support teachers. Also almost impossible to get a student expelled because of Ofsted. Teaching used to be a good job 30 years ago. Now completely unrespected profession. Exhausting job, no joy anymore.
@dwellingoak,I enjoy watching your educative videos. I m nursing the dream of teaching in uk from Nigeria. I have actually for 18 years in a secondary sch. I teach English language and literature. Is there any way you can assist me?
Hi Pamela, it may be difficult as reception is classed as the start of primary school. Therefore, you need QTS. However, I will say, call the school you wish to apply to and ask the question before you apply.
Boma! Excellent job 👌 I'm a trained & registered teacher in Nigeria. A passionate Mathematics teacher with over 12years of experience teaching ages 8-16. What class room management courses would you recommend
Thank you Ubong. Check out this website. They are offering some classroom behaviour management courses www.teacheracademy.eu/courses/classroom-management/
Yes it is. My council pays on the 30th (for months that end on that) or 31st of every month. If the 31st falls on a weekend, then you will be paid on the Friday leading up to the 30th or 31st.
hi, i want to be a kindergarten teacher or work in daycare as a teacher. Is it hard to get a job in those fields ? i also don’t have british accent so im afraid that may make it hard to get hired. hope to get a reply , thank you
It gets easier if you remain in the same class for more than a year. This will reduce the hours because you already have the teaching plans. However they tend to move teachers to other classes almost on a yearly bases for many reasons. one of it is so you can gain experience and develop in skills.
Keep up the good work Ma. Please I'm from Nigeria and will like to know how to apply for teaching in the UK,I hold a Bsc (Ed) Mathematics and can teach from early learning to high school pupils. Please I will be very grateful if you can assist me.

Fantastic video. You hit the nail on the head. Though I would say that the politics in education is extremely toxic. Awful experience.
Thanks. I have been very lucky to work in schools with a care culture. Yes, politics exist but on a very low scale.
