You'd have got a quality start, possibly even a shutout out of Satchel Paige if you'd have used the pitching meter correctly. You were just hitting the pitch and using minimum power. You're supposed to hold down the button and try to have the blue wave fill in the bar. The part you were doing right on the backswing is just for the accuracy. This game was so fun back in the day and really is the best baseball game of all time. But with those pitching controls when used properly made it easy to get no-hitters and perfect games.
Yeah. You'd think controls would be pretty similar across baseball games, but that's not always the case. Still I can't help but ask, how was it not a tip off that your fastball was usually only in the 70s mph, lol?
Right. Amazingly the game is still compatible with modern Windows (unlike Triple Play Baseball annoyingly among others that'd I'd like to revisit sometimes), so I can just use my original PC copy whenever I want to go down memory lane. Between that and my success with the pitching in my dynasty I guess the control is just more memorable to me. But yeah the game was dope. I simmed a couple Owner Modes just to build up Create-A-Parks for my AAA & AA teams. I had Pizza Hut Park (ironically the original name for FC Dallas's Soccer Specific Stadium that opened later that year until 2012 when the sponsorship changed to bland ass Toyota) for the Louisville Bats, and Dr. Pepper Park for the Chattanooga Lookouts. I would've done one for the Sarasota Reds, but the default stadium for them was that one that's just outside the Citrus Bowl that's really cool so I just left it. Games like this back then both thrilled and depressed on just how high Griffey could've climbed if he could've stayed healthy. I think I got him over a 1,000 Career HRs on that game!
Wow so original playing at polo grounds, seriously this game has all these classic stadiums that most people have never seen before and you choose the most overplayed stadium in the game. Smh

I grew up playing this game. Ps2, GameCube, and original Xbox. I had it all. Best baseball game of all time. One of my favorites.
