Tony Vu I’m assuming you’re taking about the NPB, Japanese baseball league, there are no rookies currently batting as well as Yonder in the MLB. It may be because Japan plays less games than the MLB, but a player named Hayato Sakamoto has similar numbers compared with Alvarez. Batting about .310 with 32 HRs. Yonder is too good to be compared with Japanese baseball player tho lol
If MLB THE SHOW doesn’t steal that PCI, this game looks clean as hell. Could almost slap a 2k on their.

But 2019 is trash.Compared to past series, it is getting worse.
If you play this series, you shoud wait for update or play past series.
And, if you want to play Japanese baseball game, I recommend Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu.

A very niche market, because here in the US, you have a lot of people who were just scoff at Japanese baseball and have a terrible attitude towards any sport that is foreign
@@natecruz7114 , actually, not so, as without the USA, there is no foreign baseball scene, and a lot of countries would be worse off without its influence, most notably Japan and Mexico. Moreover, a lot of talent from Japan, as well as overlooked players, including undrafted free agents from the USA, have come from Japanese baseball teams.
@@paxhumana2015 Come on. Nobody in North America is going to buy a baseball game without MLB licensing. Konami has a soccer game that barely competes with FIFA here. Not necessarily because of gameplay, but because they have few licensed teams. Konami also isn't super invested in the NA market. They're there to make Japanese consumers happy.
Which is a shame because the gameplay looks awesome. Such good animation...

Man, it’s really cool to see a game that actually nails the whole batting experience. Most MLB games make 90 mph fastballs look like 50 mph fastballs from a little league pitcher. They do always get the physics of a sinker, curveball, and slider right though. They show the proper manipulation of how these balls look and behave when thrown at you, but the pitches just look so slow. It’s cool to see in this game how pitches are actually fast, and you can beards tell if the ball is going to curve or slide over. Plus you really do only have a few seconds to swing in this game. So cool!
This game looks really fun. More videos with this game would be awesome.

Pure Analog and Zone Hitting feels like it relies on luck or probability but on this game there's a skill to it

Btw: In this game, the players wear their individual team jerseys for the All Star Game. Something MLB The Show still hasn't figured out. Instead they just have the generic American/National jerseys. Konami needs to show SCEA how it's done. 🤣

Konami really needs to try the MLB license. We only had MLB Powerpros from them... but a full MLB game for all platforms (more than just RBI Baseball reboot) would be great.

I paid 108 at a store. Its worth it for two reasons,
1. Gameplay is simple and enjoyable. Of course you can challenge yourself by increasing the difficulty levels in pitch speed and CPU hitting.
2. Because Konami isn't haven't been committed in releasing new console game, they've decided to release an update of next season's actual schedule and live roster. Unprecedented by any sports game. This should be an industry wide standard for these sports games since we're getting fiscally tired of paying $60 annually for the same game.
imagine this is how MLB 2K would be if they continued it :(

This actually looks much better than the show. That's crazy how smooth this runs. Looks more realistic on the gameplay as far as the motions. Doesn't look robotic like the show. Pitch speeds are actually the most realistic I've ever seen.

@Oakland Native ... actually everything Jared Storr mentioned is correct. I have stopped playing mlb the show since 16 when I finally discovered PYS. The pitching animations are superior in PYS along with many other elements.

@Frederick Dorsey Exactly. If u look at the Japanese strike zone they even have a clean strike zone like the MLB Broadcast. The animations on here look 10x more smooth and realistic than The Show.

Odin Son Rakuten Golden Eagles have been my favorite team for years now, Zelous Wheeler and Jabari Blash are studs who you would recognize from their time in the MLB

Dude the animations alone are a hell of a lot better then the show. Hands down some features didn’t look all too realistic like the curve balls but the graphics are badass the animations are beyond the show the gameplay looked really smooth. Why they fuck can’t we make a solid baseball game like this in the states??
So this is kinda like MLB Power Pros...but with real human characters instead of chibi ones. The batting system looks exactly the same.

I absolutely love those homerun cut scenes, the picture in picture screens when someone crosses the plate, and that PCI is pretty great but has to be so difficult

Yep ,that's my only gripe the fielding needs to be patched up a bit .Routine plays do seem like an adventure sometimes but overall awesome game.

If they worked on the batting stance is a little bit they could give the show a run for their money. Kanani makes a great soccer game. Looks like their baseball game is pretty good too. Imagine if they had the budget like EA sports or the show does. The fielding looks alittle Arcadie but batting looks cool

the batting is realistic; when i'm in the box, i have my own zone. it's not the strike zone; it's actually a lot smaller than the strike zone and encompasses a fair amount of ball territory. the thing is that i won't swing on anything that's outside of my strikezone unless i'm 0-2. that's how you have to play this game; train your eyes to react only to the white dot showing up in a certain portion of the zone. you have to anticipate the pitch much less and you'll get the bat to the ball easier because the movement your finger has to make will be tighter

I live in Japan and I can tell you that baseball over here is way more entertaining. They have ladies that run up and down the stairs during the whole game with kegs on their backs and they are extremely proficient at getting you beer. It's awesome!! Go Baystars!!
