I have the same pair of the harbinger straps and they are absolutely awesome! Had to remove the padding because for whatever reason it pinched my skin really bad but after removing the pad they have become my favorite straps to use
Thanks for this video, thanks for showing us how to put them on correctly, to line them up with the thumb! I was setting it up wrong before I saw this. Much appreciated bro.
Excellent explanation, thanks a lot! Doing RDL I just use 34kg but my arms from the wrist to my elbow gets too tense and causes pain also in my hand. IDK if since the beginning I didn't work a correct technique to lift heavier each time. I bought them but now I am not sure if it is ok use them with too little weight, thanks
Thanks this helped so much man! I was able to hold onto the 75 pound dubells for rdls and did sjith ajmchine shrugs with 2 plates something I could never hold in my hands wihtout them. Then I even tried them out on the seated row and i could move 170 pounds no problem I tried it wouth the straps I couldn't even move it more than a rep without it falling out of my hands
Usually the heavier you lift, the stronger your grips gets. But with heavier weight, your grip will fail faster too. That’s where the straps come in. They take out the weak link (grip fatigue) so you can focus on the lift.
im ready to move on to bench higher weights than my last pr but everytime i lift the bar i feel the veins on my wrists hurt like they are tearing or something this should help thx
@@ShreddedDad kind of. The pull down bar had rubber, so couldn't get it tightened enough . Now taken off I notice the difference in the grip and forearm pain. Should it feel tight on the wrist? I got an imprint of the material on my wrist.
@@ShreddedDad BTW I appreciate you actually helping me out. You sir have earned a new subscriber! Will get a better try tomorrow when doing should shrugs
@@ShreddedDad Thanks for the video! Have to use lifting straps since all of the pull-up bars at my gym are incredible thick so I can't grip them very well
I used them today but having to grip the strap gives the bar girth which makes it harder. (The thicker the grip, the harder) idk if I was using them wrong
@@ShreddedDad the fact that you don't need them doesn't explain why you *shouldn't* use them. Can you be more specific? For example, if I'm doing pull ups with the aim of strengthening my back, why should I put any focus at all in the grip (even if I can handle the weight) if it can be taken care of by the straps?

Thanks man, just got my first pair and was a little confused - your tip about the strap following the thumb was super helpful.
You’re welcome

This is by far the best explanation I've seen.

Well explained. Thanks.

Thank you so much, I'm new to straps, so good explained

Thank you! I was so confused until watching your video!
You’re welcome
I never even thought of using that for lots of reps. Sounds like an excellent idea.
Once your grip starts to fatigue, the straps help you to pump out a few more reps
@@ShreddedDad oh ok... makes sense. Thanks!
Just got the same exact straps very nice and detailed video can’t wait to try em today Thank you!

Can I use these for dumbbells ?
Yes you can

Use them when your grip gives out. If you’re using little weight and your grip is good, don’t use them

Hey do you know why they pinch my skin? Like I lose
Circulation in my wrists when I use them am I tying them too tight?
Thanks it really helped! I didnt really know how to use my straps when they came in the mail but now i can use them easily. 👍

Can you use these for bench press
@@batavica4135 they’re for pulling exercises. Won’t be of any help for bench press
@@ShreddedDad oh okey thank u
Nice clear demo thank you.

Thank you very much! My first pair arrived today and i was like uuuhm how am I gonna use this now xD

Great informative video! Bought a set of straps but was unsure on how to use them👏👏
Glad you found it useful
Is it normal for my grip to he weak now that i deadlift 100kg ( 225lbs ) or did my grip fail too soon?
Usually the heavier you lift, the stronger your grips gets.
But with heavier weight, your grip will fail faster too.
That’s where the straps come in. They take out the weak link (grip fatigue) so you can focus on the lift.

Thanks 👊
Are they good for dumbbell usage?
Yeah you can use them with dumbbells too
heyy, great video!
i have a question though : should I buy padded or regular lifting straps?
thanks :)
The ones I show in the video have pads on them. They’re more comfortable because you’re gonna have weight pulling down the top of your wrist
This was actually explained very well for my small gym rat brain. Thank you sir

Thanks man!

Best explanation

Is it weird for to use these for wide grip pull downs?
No
im ready to move on to bench higher weights than my last pr but everytime i lift the bar i feel the veins on my wrists hurt like they are tearing or something this should help thx
Lifting Straps are for pulling movements. If your wrists hurt then a wrist strap is what you need. Those wrap around your wrists to provide support
thank you for this!

Thank you so much man:)

Works the same way
Fumbling this whilst actively at the gym
Did you figure it out?

I just got mine, cause I got very weak hands and my deadlifts are too heavy already
40 kg fine but 50 has my hands hurting 😢
That should help to keep you lifting heavier than your hands can handle
Thanks a lot mate

I used them today but having to grip the strap gives the bar girth which makes it harder. (The thicker the grip, the harder) idk if I was using them wrong
They’re supposed to make grip less of a factor so you can focus on the lift rather than your grip strength. Make sure you wrap them around tightly.
Same they dont help me either
Why shouldn't you use them with "not so heavy" weighs?
If your grip can handle the weight without interfering the exercise, then you don’t need them
@@ShreddedDad the fact that you don't need them doesn't explain why you *shouldn't* use them. Can you be more specific?

I used them but it made no difference. You need more grip strength to hold them in place 😅
More than $10
It’s an old video, I’m sure prices have gone up now
Doesn’t help whatsoever
