    I have tinnitus, I bring this noise everywhere.

  • @garcibus

    the "thunder noise" the lady talks about is the steel rolling & stripping unit's noise actually. vibrations are loud because of the marshy ground of zug island.

    • @garcibus
      @garcibus 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +justin case i know i lived three years in north east delray detroit. we used to hear that hum sometimes but not as loud as in windsor or in the south/south west shores of the river. some workers in the hood used to say that it was because of the stripping unit's main hydraulic pumps that was our explanation about this hum back then i dont't know if it was true or not i didn't give a dime anyway i ended not hearing it anymore there was no mystery about it, was just a noisy factory thats all i can say.

      +justin case true, that damn hum sounded when everything was quiet and there was no noise like at nights, and even if i ended up being used to that sound i remember when i later moved away i was like err, where's the hum?! amazing

    I live in LaSalle, at first I thought the hum was a product of the salt mines, as are most apocalyptic sounds in my area, I heard the hum recently, the hum is real, and it is a sound that penetrates auditory analysis.

    This is near Waterville Maine and we have it too. Nobody else can hear it, they think I'm nuts. Sounds like a generator for a summer camp or something but I can hear it miles in every direction. Mainly in the summer months.

    It gets brutal in Lockport NY.
    It goes exactally like this : whoom whoom whoom whoom whoom.
    That fast and not always in 5's.
    Sometimes it could go into a rhythm of 30 to 50.
    It can speed up sometimes but it's never slow.

    Maybe faulty/inadequate exhaust stacks, in the mills? Small cars with cheap exhaust systems cause enough headache. Imagine a industrial-sized cheap exhaust system.

  • @TheWitchOvAgnesi
    @TheWitchOvAgnesi 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sounds like a problem I had with my old GMC Sonoma when I had the OEM muffler and exhaust pipes replaced with after-market stuff. It immediately started rumbling at a very, very low range that I had never experienced before and very few of my passengers would notice it. But I did, and it annoyed the fuck out of me for a year until I sold the truck.

    • @jKLa
      @jKLa 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@danielrazulayno, it was the steel plant. They made some changes to the flare stacks and were running the blast furnaces at unusually high capacity durring that time untill they shut down in 2020 and the hum stopped. But steel mills always make a loud hum, just not near as bad as this in most cases. Still, large steel plants can often be heard from miles away at night! I know, I have heard them myself. 😮

    At 1:45 Gary Grosse is describing exactly what I started to hear one night in 1993 as I just got in bed and all of a sudden I swear an 18 wheeler diesel truck started up right outside of my window! In reality, that would be impossible as my apartment building was no where near the one way drive around a huge complex with many speed bumps. It was truly disturbing. I got back up and went to my front door and stepped out and the sound was gone!!! Stepped back in and there it was again. This went on for months around 9:45 PM & during these episodes my phone would ring and there was never anyone on the other end.... As I started to talk about it to family and friends, I found out I was the only one that heard it which was even more troubling. After several months I moved to a different city as a transfer in my company and as soon as I settled in, an article in the local newspaper was about this exact thing troubling a couple near by. They described it just like me and they finally moved away. Thing is, I never heard the sound in the new city! In the paper article was the name and address/phone # of a professor in New Mexico. I called him, we talked and he sent me a questionnaire I filled out and sent back.
    Fast forward to 2011ish I had moved back to Salt Lake City and around 9:30 PM I started to hear the atmospheric sounds that had started to happen all around the world. Of course thousands of people heard it go on for about 20 minutes and not to be heard again here.

    • @mojomochisan
      @mojomochisan ปีที่แล้ว

      I know this is super old, was your Appartment building in Redford MI? The same 18wheeler noise would happen and the way u described the building really sounds like the same complex I lived at as a little girl and I teo remember a 18 wheeler making strange noise and again we had speed bumps and lived inthe back side of this complex with a grass field and it would be impossible for this truck to have come in since the build was build really close to this wall so the turn was super tight idk u brought up something that sounded familiar and really similar to my strange sighting and for years I wondered if it was me as a kid or real

    I'm orginally from Windsor but moved to Calgary 16 years ago. I never heard anything until 2006 in Calgary. Just a throbbing that effects your nervous system. When I visit in Windsor and YES something has changed in Windsor I use to go there for visits for rest but I just came back in August and its the same sound as Calgary. Zug island is part of the city River Rouge. What I don't understand is that River Rouge is much closer, surely they're residents must hear it ? But it's not a city that's very popular to live in because of pollution, from Zug Island. You're right, no one lives on the island itself. People from River Rouge say it smells terrible and the air quality is just horrendous.

    It's from a U.S. steel factory. It comes from a blast furnace that is on continuously.

    • @jKLa
      @jKLa 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It did come from the blast furnaces and the flare stacks. They shut down the operation in 2020 so the Windsor Hum is no more. Untill earlier this year a similar but different eerie sounding very deep, oscillating, quevering, loud but distant sounding droning noise plagued my own West Coast industrial suburb and beyond at night and sometimes durring the day. The sound could be herd for miles all around, like it was from all over but nowhere at the same time, but very vaguely from the north. I could feel it almost as much as hear it and could hear it even with the windows closed and earplugs in, -very spooky sound too! I finnaly tracked it down to the massive steel finishing plant across town and several miles away, -no blast furnaces but two massive annealing furnaces and giant high pressure cold rolling mill. But the plant closed this year and now the sound is gone.

    • @jKLa
      @jKLa 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They did, sort of. The plant plus the US government were both non cooperative however. But the noise stopped when the Steel mill on Zug Island shut down and according to some workers speaking anonymously, it was from the large flare stacks that were modified plus the blast furnaces working at unusually high capacity. I have read reddit forums with some in Cleveland, Oh complaining they can hear the steel mill there from miles away at night. The Gary works is also very loud, -probably most steel Mills are but this was just unusually bad! I myself could also frequently hear a large (now former) steel plant from my home that is several miles away, untill it shut down earlier this year!

    • @jKLa
      @jKLa 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you're closer to a large steel mill they do make a very loud hum. But this was unusually bad as it was from the massive flare stacks that were reportedly modified for some reason plus the blast furnaces working at unusually high capacity so that they acted as giant harmonic instruments. These phenomenon while not universal are still pretty normal for steel plants, which are always loud if not at the Windsor hum leval. At night many can hear any large steel mill from miles away. I certainly could when I lived somewhat near one. But not everyone is equally noise sensitive.

    The Windsor Hum really creeps me out. I don't live near there, but a few months ago I heard a hum every morning for about a week. it sounded very similar to the Windsor Hum but wasn't as steady. It had those low frequencies to it, but it could have just been construction or something normal going on. I still think of those noises whenever I heard of the Windsor Hum. I couldn't imagine living with a hum all the time, I feel bad for the residents of that area.

  • @SottMediaChannel

    It may not be noise pollution, i.e. man-made. It could also be at least partly natural, but yes, 'new' at the same time. What's striking in this particular case is that something about the location apparently 'anchors' the noise(s) there very frequently, if you'll excuse the pun. East Windsor being impacted ? I'm in east and central Windsor on a daily basis and I only just found out about this. I can't say I've ever heard it. This is not to discredit those who live near-by and are directly effected. I am very sensitive to noise and am in the process of moving to a quieter neighbhourhood because of pedestrian and traffic noise. So I definitely sympathize with the people effected. But to say it "effects people in east Windsor" is untrue as far as my personal experience.

    I piloted a boat on a journey around Zug Island back in the summer of 2007 before this started happening (sounds). It was a day I will not forget. We were not bothered in any way by any police or security. I'm sure they were keeping an eye on us, but we were just going around the island.
    BTW - To all of the groups attempting to study this. The way to (spy) examine this place is from the water ways. They can prohibit you from going on their land, but water ways in the USA are not owned by anyone; therefore you can float down a river that has private property on both sides of it, as long as you stay on the water you are not trespassing. AT least that's the way it was back when I went around the island.
    After Thought:
    0:22 Is it just me, or would only a Canadian complain about a bed vibrating?

      There are some pretty clear recordings of it. But there are definitely recordings of the steel mill on Zug when it was still in operation from just across the river in Windsor and it was horrendous! All the large steel mills can be heard humming from miles away at night btw, -this was just unusually bad. I live a few miles from a former steel finishing plant that shut down earlier this year. It didn't even make new steel anymore but still used massive annealing furnaces and the sound could be herd for miles all around! It was a very spooky sound!

      +Landrew0 you have to use headphones or have a sub-woofer, if you still can't hear it you need to have your hearing checked it may be damaged.

    Hello
    We are TVN, a Korean broadcasting station.
    We are producing a program called "Davinch Note" and the video will be used as a data screen.
    Is it okay if we put this video in the program?
    Please answer me!

    why is it all about windsor theirs other citys closer to the plant.

    • @heavymetal000
      @heavymetal000 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael It’s because of the south-western winds we get in southern Ontario. It carries the sound over the river, and the windmills in Windsor don’t help either

    • @jKLa
      @jKLa 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What closer city? Windsor is directly across from the plant! 🙄 However this hum could be heard from parts of Detroit and certain Detroit suburbs as well, but mostly the Canadian side, because of the particular location of the noise source. It was from the blast furnaces working at unusually high capacity and from the large flare stacks.

    It's almost certain it's just a ramp up of industrial production in the area. Not saying the noise isn't effecting people, just saying that's the source.

    That's insane that one plant can terrorize so many people. I know the steel plant has balked at all requests to stop their terror attack. These people need to organize and just destroy the plant. They should build their own bomber if they have to. This is seriously like war.

    we had a nuclear power plant close to where i live and the cancer rate especially amongst children is way higher than average. despite the numbers, officials denied a connection, of course. thankfully it was shut down finally last year.

She now is able to sleep and be rejuvinated unlike those who aren't in the know about the silent weapons used in the present quiet war...acoustic low frequency pulse...travels on wire and cable, ie goes everywhere.
