You can tell that Hunter has learned from the Monday night wars in regard to focus on developing your brand instead of worrying about the other brand. That was one of the major downfalls of WCW. Also he is looking much better. It is good to see him up and about.

And HAPPY. As he said in the interview, there's two type of wrestlers that retired; ones that are sad and feel like they have more to go, or ones who completed their journey and are happy with what they did. Undertaker and Triple H are in that category.

Wwe needs competition. Todays product is inferior to the golden era, or the attitude and ruthless aggression era. Wwe just needs a fire lit under its ass. It’s not terrible. There’s a lot of good still. I like how the women’s division gets more attention than it used to. They should get rid of gimmick pay per views. Utilize matches like Hell in a Cell the way they used to. If the storyline leads to it. Maybe get some wrestlers that channel attitude era/aggression attitudes. Now you don’t have to rehash the past or try to force a new wrestler to be a new stone cold. Just whatever they had in those eras that worked so well is what they should consider. Having competition would be good. Maybe WCW/ECW was a kick in the ass the WWF needed. Or maybe Vince needs to retire and triple h needs to hire new writers. I’m still not sold on Roman reigns. Or his current heel portrayal. It’s better than what they were doing with him for awhile but, his promos still don’t sell me. No hate for the guy. I would never throw a briefcase at him. Some fans take this shit too far. I mean he’s trying to improve. And do better and it works for some people . And I’m sure Roman the person is a decent guy. I don’t think he’s done anything to deserve being violently assaulted by fans.

Gotta understand that Vince was out of touch with the fans and didn’t know what the fans of this generation want. Now if any WWe fan was watching Nxt frequently and how good their ppv’s and matches where, then they would’ve known triple h should’ve been running WWe for a while now. Everybody who watched nxt knows that once triple h took over the main roster from Vince that the quality would increase. Now look at Nxt without hhh. It’s bad 😂 jus more proof that hhh is THE Man. Whereever he goes.

AEW is what like in its 4th or 5th year? They’re still learning how the business is supposed to be run. So no it’s not real competition for WWE. WCW was different it was a territorial organization that had changed names and owners for decades before it became a threat to WWF during the Monday Night Wars.

I would like to see him do that the attitude era is not coming back also you don’t have that quality of wrestlers as you did back then. One reason that was the last era actually learning from other early legends and wrestling them as well in other companies. Promotion based wrestling actually had more talent per say then now which lead to ppl developing over longer period of time vs now.

Triple h, talks like someone that has went through ego death. I would like to cynically believe that he’s still the same guy from 1995-2017 and he’s somehow being fake. But there is a genuine sort of melancholy understanding in his words and eyes, that people only have after becoming that melancholy understanding person. If i had to guess, it’s probably a multitude of things, like coping with deaths, maybe some delayed coping with previous deaths, coping with finally understanding certain things about himself and mistakes
I’m really proud of anyone that comes out of the other side of that journey.
