- The first leg of our Peru adventure brought us to Cusco where we met up with our travel buddies for the first time since Covid started in 2020. We explore the Archeological site of Sacsayhuaman, the town center of Cusco and visit the San Pedro Market before starting our Lares Trek to Machu Picchu with Mountain Lodges of Peru.

Saw you guys were out of Houston! Was the diamox helpful?? We are coming from Dallas and have been on the fence about getting it! ALSO I am such an anxious flier-so give it to me straight-how bad was the flight into Cusco 😅😬 Such a great vlog-makes us so excited since this is basically the exact day we are about to have!!
So excited for you!!! (And jealous!) Get the diamox. Out of all of us, the only one who had issues was the one who didn't take it. The flight wasn't bad into Cusco, but be prepared to be closer to mountains than ever before in an airplane! But it was much better than I was expecting. I can't wait to watch your vlogs!!!!

Thanks for the videos. Who did you guys book with for the Lares Trek to Machu Picchu? Why did you choose Lares Trail instead of the salkantay or classic inca trail? I think not staying in camps for few nights would be what i prefer 🙂 can you share with me the guides you guys used in Peru please. thanks.
Hi! Thanks for watching! We used Mountain Lodges of Peru. We chose the Lares Trek because we were a large group with some people who were interested in hiking and others who were not and we wanted options. I can wholeheartedly say that going with Mountain Lodges is an excellent choice. It was expensive, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Definitely watch our Lares/Mountain Lodges video and our Machu Picchu video it will give you a good idea of the experience. Enjoy! You won't regret it. Peruvian landscape, food, and especially the people --best in the world.

Haha, not really. Chewing leaves caused more of a buzz. Very slight and temporary though.
