The winner of the recent poll on the channel was Fallout 4, so that is what I'll be playing next on the channel! I have never played any of the Fallout series before so this will be a blind playthrough. I'll record episodes of this and drop other bits of content in between, I hope you enjoy!

Really enjoyed this episode. I like the fact that you take time to read through the lore on the computer terminals as you play. Just so you know, there is some evidence that Mr. Davidson (the angry employee at the Vault Tech Regional HQ) actually followed through on his threat to kill poor Sharon with a pen (21:03).
If you look underneath the storage shelves in the basement, there is a skeleton (presumably of a woman - the skeleton has a dress on it) with a pen lying next to it.
No problem at all! Yeah I always try and read the lore within the game whether it be terminals, notes etc. Or even the conversation options. I prefer watching others who take the time to do it rather than those that skip it all and move at 100 miles an hour 😅.
Really that's awesome! Bethesda are really good at adding in all those little details and Easter eggs
Thanks for this & im at exactly the point in my playthrough
Ah awesome 😁🙌🏼
1:29:11 “don’t think they’ve noticed me” (walking around with a flashlight shining) 😂😂
Gotta make sure I can see (and the viewers can see) where I'm going, could be landmines about 😂
This is a good thing to keep in mind. The game's code makes stealthing more difficult (but not impossible) when you have your Pipboy light on. It removes the bonuses you receive for stealthing in shadows, and makes it easier for enemies to spot you at night.
As a viewer, I do appreciate your thoughtfulness, but - speaking for myself - I won't hold it against you if you decide to stealth without the Pipboy light on.
I agree, landmines can be tough to see at night. A trick I use to spot them as I'm approaching the perimeter of enemy-occupied areas at night, is to turn on VATS and scan around - VATS will pick up landmines (and turrets).
@graivusshle6762 Yeah, in the beginning, I got a few comments along the lines of "use your light, I can't see." So I would use my light, and then it was "turn your light off, the enemies can see you."
The moral of the story is that you'll never please everyone, lol. So, as a general rule now, if I remember, I keep my light on at night or in dark places all the time. I'll happily accept the lack of stealthiness if it improves visibility for everyone 😁
I have been looking out for this for 2 days... glad its up
😁👍🏻
2:15:03 in the tradhkan next to the bridge are 2 frag grenades that respawn ... since you are into trowables
So glad you finally started talking to your companions ... now don't give up on it ... some of the strongest perks are acquired trough the companion system ... and it's fun to romance them ... just make sure they don't see you romancing another one cause they will get jealous
@@dimitridaenen4889 nice thanks for the heads up! Haha okay no problem I'll make sure Piper is out of view if anyone else comes along 🤣
Easy City Downs are named after Suffolk Downs - actual location of horse race track near Boston
Ah nice thats cool 👍🏻
Nice long episode. Thanks.
No problem enjoy 😁👍🏻
And you missed a magazine at the super duper mart. it's in an obvious place if it was pre-war, but not so obvious in a wrecked grocery store.
Damn, I bet it's on a rack somewhere, or probably a news and mags aisle 😅
35:10 correct, the game will tell you that you have reached max level with each follower, all but Doggo.
Okay that's good, I'm hoping it's soon, I want to try out other followers 🤣
@@mike-thegamingdad Her's usually doesnt take all that long. As long as you do good stuff it moves along nicely. Watch for the notice that says " Piper idolizes you " or along those lines.
Don't ever worry about a companion getting lost. They transport to you as soon as you go through a loading screen. The roof access for Hubris Comics is a way to get outside without going all the way back downstairs. As long as your outside you can fast travel and then dump inventory. You can romance multiple companions, but be aware, they can get angry if you flirt etc in front of one. You can simply be friends and still get the perk. The game will tell you when you get the perk from each companion
Yeah I knew they'd come back eventually, was more just surprised when I exited the place and they weren't there. Normally that's the cue for them to transport to you like you say 🤣
Also you can place a brahmin trough(it looks like a bathtub in the workshop under misc resources I believe) and the cow will stay near it instead of roming all around your settlement. Then maybe place fencing around it.
Ah thats good, I've found them all over the place when I've returned. One was in a building, which wasn't very convenient, so if they stay by the troughs I'll do that
Awesome another episode. Hope you will continue Fallout 4.
Just seem you've almost caught up now, yeah 14 is up, 15 is coming very soon 😁 no plans to stop just yet 🙌🏼
The Silver Shroud is one of my favorite quests in the game. Love it!
Yeah I enjoyed that one 😁 looking forward to doing some of Kents missions now!
When you exceeded carry weight at Hubris Comics, you could have used a buffout, and fast travelled to Sanctuary. Also, don't forget about grilled radstag. It gives +25 carry weight and lasts a while. Buffout lasts just a moment, and causes adddiction.
Thanks for the reminder I always forget about the radstag meat especially
Yay!!!
@mike-the gaming dad you know those parts that make your arm armor stronger and pocketed can be moved to the legendary pieces you have of the same position and type.
That guy you were selling to in Good Neighbor is where you can get mini nukes
I'm late to the party, but better late than never. Unless you run survival mode you're best off selling the food. All you need is 1 Nuka Cola to give to that person in Diamond City. It'll leave room for carrying more desk fans 😂
As for affinity, you can't miss the message that will pop in the middle of the screen. I think you have 1 talk left with Piper. Flirting is good, save those grape mentats for a hard speech check.
🤔
Oh, in Hubris Comics I think it was, your inventory was full and so was Piper's. The mini gun you passed up... if you grabbed it and then dropped it, you could interact with Piper and have her still pick it up. They are heavy but sell well.
😖I restated Skyrim on holiday. Try running your base inventory like a stealth archer assassin trying to make the thieves guild proud 🍺😊
Great to hear you've started Skyrim again! 😁👍🏻 any plans for this particular playthrough or a playstyle in mind?
@mike-thegamingdad I'm a khajiit robinhood as I figure it out, I didn't side with the nords, but I haven't progressed the main story at all. I did join the Companions so far, and have made the thieves guild proud. I didn't know it before, but there's no dragons anywhere in Skyrim if you bail on the main story😂
I realized that both Elder Scrolls and Fall Out like to create a sense of urgency in grinding the main quest, and that makes it difficult to play a role sometimes. To be honest Elders Scrolls 4 was my 1st first person game. I loved the music and got lost in the woods happily exploring every nook and cranny. This Skyrim playthrough is taking me back to that. It's a work in progress I guess 😊
@@greasedragon77 very nice! Ah yeah if you don't complete Dragon Rising its a totally different experience. I think that is basically FO4's not going to Concord and meeting Preston 🤣. Its nice sometimes not to get constant dragon attacks all the time.
@mike-thegamingdad On your next playthrough of FO4, r.e. Preston. I discovered it by accident but if you take the initial quest from him, talk to the settlers at ten pines bluff, clear out Corvega Assembly, and return to the settlements, the last step is to return to Preston. Quick save in Sanctuary before you turn in that quest. After he starts to say something like "hey there's something else...", back away to exit the conversation. You get the quest xp, Ten Pines as a settlement, but as long as you avoid Preston it ends there.
A ton more I could say, but I promised no spoilers 🍺😊👊
Just like skyrim if yes but followers are around overloaded you can still have them to pick something up then they will and they will
Yeay I need to make more use of that trick 👍🏻
Great ep! I really wanna see you take on the mirelurk queen 😭
Where is she? Is she in the flooded quarry place?
@@mike-thegamingdad I believe she’s located at the Castle, Fort Independence. It’s the Taking Independence mission with the minutemen, you’ll find her once you start those missions back up!
Ah gotcha 👍🏻
@@mike-thegamingdad There are mirelurk queens scattered throughout the commonwealth you will probably run into one when you least expect it
Preston is the biggest reason I avoid Concord for awhile. He keeps giving you more and more settlement quests. If you agree to help take back the castle, he leaves and waits for you there. You'll still get defend this or that settlement quests but no new help this new settlement untill you actually help him with the castle.
Ah okay that's good then, maybe I'll agree to take back the castle
Another cracking episode pal, whens the next one up?
Thank you! I recorded it last night and it's currently uploading now 😁👍🏻
YES, SILVER SHROUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoyed that mission, will do a few of Kents requests as well soon 😁👍🏻
May want to head back to the Super Duper Mart and search around a bit more
Yes, um, ghouls from across the map are giving us problems. Seriously Abernathy!? I agree with you Mike, that that one was a little far fetched. 😆 I may have missed it, but did you grab the magazine in the Super Duper Mart? It’ll help with vendor prices! Love the racetrack mission! Ain’t it a pain when Ernie turns the bots loose on you…Lol! Time to banish Preston 😬
I think I may have missed the magazine, as I don't remember picking one up there. Will have to go back and look! Yeah that was a good mission but really difficult, a few of those robots gave me a whooping!
Unyeilding armor is an interesting concept. The description is a bit incorrect - it raises all attribute EXCEPT for Endurance. I actually use it right now - I have a set of 4, so that' bonus 12 to SPCIAL stats. And I keep my radiation level at 75% to make sure my HP does not go above 25%
Oh nice, a huge stat boost then 😁🙌🏼
I still would have gotten the minigun for the settlement
bro you gotta ditch all those weapons you’re not gonna use, that’s just dead weight
and with the Scrounger perk you’ll get plenty of ammo for any gun 👍
Yeah I thought this episode there's lots of I'm touching anymore, like the sniper which has been made redundant by Overseers Guardian. I'll shed weight at the start of 14
@@mike-thegamingdad bout time. lol I'm alil Jell about that Powered left arm.
Yay! I finally caught up. Loving the playthrough. Total Chad on Piper. Yeah, babe, we're a thing, but I gotta drop you for the next one. :)
Haha I know right 😅
Watch out for Cleo she will kill NPCs once you unlock her. She's serious
Yeah there's a certain degree of menace in her voice, like she's not joking 🤣
From what I have seen, the Minutemen is the best ofthe lot
I do enjoy the minutemen missions, but Preston is a drag lol. There's a few factions I've not experienced yet but I've heard of.
1:47:00 My fav settlement.
Lot of space to build on it seems that's for sure at sunshine tidings 👍🏻
i woud have picked up unique items. Mabey you return picking up the T-shirts 😍🙂 Oh and you missed a non-ghoul body in the garage and lots of stuff in the mart to pick up. I'ts not a mart if it has no stuff.
Oh are the t shirts unique? I thought they were standard ones 🤣
You need to go back to that other place and collect all those robot parts it'll come in handy later when you're doing robots
Which place was that?
Piper is the one companion I really can’t stand, I never use her …lol
Wish you bypass her to get into Diamond City lol
Haha fair enough 😁 I've not come across many yet I don't think, but she'd be somewhere in the middle so far. Below Nick but above Preston lol
Dont worry, it'll tell you when you've reached max affinity with a character and gained their perk. Taking the romance option is always far more entertaining!!
Ha yeah she seemed pretty awkward after that option 🤣
I wont spoil it, but that isn't how it works.
It should be, but it isn't.
How what works Jim? The shroud?
@@mike-thegamingdad
The robots.
2:00:19 🤣🤣
Video game logic 🤦🏻♂️😅
Best stay just friends with piper, unless you want another online relationship ...
but what about Lover's Embrace perk?
Ha I don't mind that, I thought it was required to hit max affinity. As I'd not seen the flirt option yet
I always look forward to your episodes. Have you looked into manufacturing? If you enjoy the base building aspect of the game you may look into manufacturing.
Not yet no, I've seen there are a few conveyer belts and machines and stuff in the build menu though. Are they worth setting up?
@@mike-thegamingdad I just started messing with them. I built an ammo manufacturer. It’s cool but I got kind of frustrated trying to figure out the sorters.
