The winner of the recent poll on the channel was Fallout 4, so that is what I'll be playing next on the channel! I have never played any of the Fallout series before so this will be a blind playthrough. I'll record episodes of this and drop other bits of content in between, I hope you enjoy!

I think the reason that Deliverer popped up in your inventory is because of Bethesda bugs. When Deacon played the audio tape that unlocked the door with the Prototype you were there to collect, you walked away and looted a side room. So Deacon's comments about Tommy Whispers never happened. He is supposed to give you the gun and tell you Tommy would have wanted you to have it. But the script will eventually realize it needs to give you the gun and just randomly dispense it to you when you're doing something else.
Ah fair enough makes sense, I was very confused at the time 🤣
you should check out some of the Silver Shroud quests, when you’re wearing the costume there’s speech options to speak as the silver shroud, it’s pretty hilarious 😂

@@mike-thegamingdad I'll take a look tonight, I forget. I bumped up my Gun Slinger tree again last night I think its up to like 50 damage? Its a great small arm. Kellogs pistol is FAR better, but, being a six shooter, you better hit one of those 6. Give me the extended mag on this one all day.

It's very much play when I can not when I want at the minute, e.g. last night I would have done some gaming (likely Skyrim rather than FO4 as ive not done one of those for a while), but my eldest ended up being sick, so that kind of kiboshed that plan 😅. I'll aim to get another episode of this out this week though, glad to hear you look forward to it so much!
1:15:00 You can surely assign a provisionier route to the graygarden robots - by using the workshop menu, not by talking. Sometimes Fallout can be confusing for beginners... 🙃
Great episode! It's fun to relive the game. I believe that when you give followers ammo (like Piper), they only need 1 round since they don't actually use it up.
Yeah I think that is the case for settlers, but companions actually use their inventory. So ammo once depleted causes them to flip to the default weapon. At least that is what seemed to happen when I tried one round with piper and a different weapon
In case you didn't know, you can grab your next companion (Curie, for example) while you have another in tow. After you pick the dismissal destination, there will be a unique interaction specific to the trade-out. Some of them are funny. Ada was added later so not sure about her. But Curie and Piper should have a short combo if you hadn't already dismissed Piper. Just FYI.
Also with Cha 6 and local leader rank 1, in workshop build mode, settlers have an option to assign them to supply routes. The Graygarden default robots and most named settlers can't, but you could build a new robot and assign it, with Local Leader, to a trade route.
Ah yeah I've noticed that between piper and dogmeat before 👍🏻
Robot repair kits only work on a DBNO state ( down but not out ). Like stimpacking your human or super mutant follower, instead you use the repair thingy.

great episode, I love Deliverer especially when I play a high agility, high luck build with sneak and ninja and better crits and critical banker, it makes you really op.

Yeah great design as well, love that it came equipped with a silencer.
- As much as I don't like the Railroad, I do like Deacon.
- The problem with the Railroad quest, if you do choose to do a frontal assault, you eventually find out that you have to take the escape tunnel anyway.
- Nuka Cola Quantum provides 100 AP, providing you have at least 100 AP. To get more AP, increase your Agility.
- 42:44 - Looks like a load of nonsense? It's only detailing the launch and subsequent detonation of nuclear missiles on the US east coast, but you're right there was literally nothing on that terminal. A complete waste of time.
- Deacon gave you Deliverer. Of course you would know this if you followed him instead of wandering off.
- If you're tired of mines exploding every time you walk near them, get the third rank of the Sneak skill.
- Robotic followers can't use Robot Repair Kits on themselves. You have to carry them, and use them on the follower when they are in a 'downed' state.
- The Sentinel legendary effect is awesome, although not so much on a walking cane.
- Curie likes when you do good things. She is the epitome of Lawful Good.
Apologies, my bad! I wasn't expecting to like Curie as much as I did, her story seems more interesting than I expected. Although Deacon also seems like a good companion as well. Will have to both 😅
Well, Mike's found a few of my favorite things. Curi and the Deliverer are two who deserve best in class awards imo, and rarely get replaced once I acquire them. I gotta say though, that getting naked in front of everyone before talking to them isn't really... what's the word I'm looking for? Bostonian. Yeah, that's it.😂 Totally normal behavior in Los Angeles though. 👍
Yeah I must say I was impressed with Curie, her story seems a lot better than I was expecting. Deliverer is very OP and fun to use, I'll be making sure I get that early on my next playthroughs. Haha I've not been to LA but a good friend lives there and from what I know I'm not surprised 🤣
As others have said, the Deliverer should be given to you by Deacon. It's based on a Walther PPK, so yeah, exactly like James Bond 🙂... You can buy mods for it from Tinker Tom, so you upgrade the Deliverer even if you don't have the necessary gun perks yet.

Combat armor has 3 levels of quality - regular, Sturdy and Heavy. Same for Synth armor. Combat armor protection is more balanced, synth armor has more regular DR but less energy ER.
Ah okay cool, it seemed like keeping my regular with legendary effects was better than sturdy but no effects. The stat difference was very small

That's not totally surprising I think if the 4 factions all have quite different endings
I would suggest keeping Sharp armor pieces. When combined, they give +5 charisma - better then Black Suit which only gives +2

No matter how I start I often migrate to Deliverer when it becomes available. Sneak, AP and vats perks and it's huge. Three shot Swan.
Yeah that weapon seems very 'OP' considering how early you get it in the Railroad storyline. I assume you can make a b line and just get that immediately out of the vault. Crazy good if so
Deliverer is one of my favorite weapons in the game. Especially in VATS build. Deacon gives it to you as part of this quest (Tradecraft) It's a personal weapon for Tommy Whisper, whose body you find near the prototype
My latest playthrough, almost done with the main questline I'm still using The Deliverer. I might have tweaked it a bit but it's a great stealth weapon. One shotting weaker enemies

If you really pay attention during the game you can see Deacon in several towns and villages. He is always wearing location appropriate clothing and wont say much. I play a game in which I take a screenshot everytime I spot him. That guy gets around!

Sentinel is actually just the most OP effect. Basically it stacks. So, if you have 5 pieces of armor and a weapon, you take 90% less damage. Combine that with Blitz perk and you become pretty much immortal killing machine.
Yeah it'll be better on armor pieces for sure, the walking cane made me laugh 🤣
The Defcon Status in the terminal in the Switchboard next to the Covert Ops Mag was the day the bombs dropped, it was showing that they confirmed "birds in the air" (warheads incoming) and shows the President responded with MX-CN91, a full retaliation strike.

Bunker Hill is yet another historical landmark. Famous battle took place there during War of independence in 1775. Actual battle took place on a neighboring Breed's Hill. The monument is there now.

The Deliverer is an excellent pistol. Usually Deacon gives it to you at the end of clearing out the old hideout. Very interesting! I will say that Bethesda stepped it up with followers in this game. Unique backstories to each, with some fun “help” quests for them, and the one liners are excellent! 🤣
Yeah I've been impressed so far, I see in the comments some have a strong dislike to certain ones, but I guess that comes with playing a lot. So far I've not found any I don't like other than Preston lol. The dialogue they all have is great. Curie is interesting as well, her story is a lot better than I was expecting. And Deacon is brilliant 🤣
One other thing, not sure if you know, but looting weapons from corpses gives you more ammo. I've seen you loot the loose ammo in an enemy body, but leave the weapon. But the weapon will give you even MORE ammo if you snag it too. You can then toss the weapon after you take it.
I think I referenced earlier on in the episode that I was collecting the ones from enemies I'd killed, but not just random weapons found. As only the former contain ammo. Is that not the case?
You don't need to give companions weapons or ammo, they get them from the same place that they get the gumdrops. If you give settlers guns, they only need 1 ammo. Oh, and yay for Curie, her story is pretty interesting, though later she is maybe a bit over powered, she has more hit points than any other character..
They just magic them out of thin air? 😅

Cool I don't know what that one is yet, although I've seen Curies one, and that seems very OP as well. Almost identical to the "cheat death" perk in Skyrim, which you can unlock with Restoration level 90

Chameleon armor is also an excellent choice. Makes you much harder to detect.
I use items with the chameleon effect in Starfield. Very nice as it maoes you go invisible when you sneak and stop moving. Good for stealth, escape, missions where you need to avoid detection etc

Yeah in my many playthroughs before I never used Curie, but in the last one, I was pleasantly surprised when I did her quest. I think you'll enjoy it. I like her french accent and having her as a huminoid looking character is a bonus. You'll be able to equip here with armor and weapons. If you leave her as a robot I think you'll be able to alter her robot parts later, I'm not sure. I chose to make her a synth. You can now fast travel inside the railroad hq and use the escape tunnel to leave, although it's about the same distance to get out.
Yeah the accent is nice, I think I'll help her become a synth. I'm curious to see her in 'human' form
Ghouls are amongst the best pool players in the commonwealth. In the pool ghoul tourney the winner gets to keep the 8 ball.

I always carry one hazmat suit with me once I find it. Helps against radiation immensely.
