He deserves more than this respect, Odumegwu Ojukwu was the man that brought Nigerian army uniform they are wearing today, go and check the history and see the Nigeria army uniform queen Elizabeth gave to them short neckers and short sleeve, Ojukwu was the one who said no this is too local before he redesign Nigerian army uniform which they are wearing today, remember Ojukwu was the first Nigeria man to study in Oxford university in London and he's father was the richest man in Africa then, please before you argue with me go and check history first, rip IKEMBA ODIMEGWU OJUKWU African hero.

The great Ikemba, go well in God. Your wisdom and knowledge was beyond. For you spoke, did and practiced the truth, teaching peace and justice. You Generals Ojukwu and Effiong did not err in the Aburi Peace Accord, but your foes did, causing their brutal war on your peoples of Biafra. Even though, i always like the courage of General Ojukwu, it was General Effiong his deputy who stopped the that brutal war. I guess whenever Ojukwu is talked about, Philip Effiong should always be remembered. Nevertheless, it is not always so, Philip Effiong is always being forgotten, who saved Nigeria, the entire Eastern Nigeria and the Igbo nations from further bloodshed. Yes, give credit to whom credit belongs to.

The best war is focus, hardwork and continous dialogue. As I watch this I remember all those who have lost their lives. May their soul rest in peace. Amen. Nigeria was a creation of the British, just like a father who goes out to have illegitimate children. The children have to live with it, be civil and if one child has envy and jealously which leads to violence then advice your children to be careful but live your life to the full and create the best life for your children with hardwork as our mantra. We have leant also that when we show our disunity the outside world will be waiting to capitalise which they did with Nigeria. Therfore let us be slow to anger and compromise in ways that will not impede real growth and development.

He was fluent in Igbo, English, French, Ibibio, Hausa as well. He saved Igbo people if not I will not be alive. Also many Nigerians due to our inate deceptive nature actually helped put down the first coup of 1966 that is often falsely dubbed an Igbo coup....when one of the many players was another brilliant soldier Major Ademoyega. Same children u guys tried to wipe out in the north, same ,children you guys brutalised in the east....One way or the order you would have still killed them, they only chose to at least give a fight. A fight for survival.....Nigeria rejected them....Even your soldiers showed them no mercy when they overtook our lands...some were gathered out of the church and slaughtered.....And you expect them to fold their arms and watch you?

@@irmamah.1425 Yes , a war that should have been avoided by gowon....even if he didn't like the aburi accord or was ill-adviced what stopped him from coming back to the table to negotiate?? Instead the best thing he thought wise to do was to form a baricade around the east. ...Look , I have tried my best to hate and blame ojukwu for the war but each time i remember the way igbos were killed in the west and north , many beheaded, children ripped out of their mothers stomach...soldiers literally went home to home in the west looking for igbos to kill ....and you tell me that's not enough to seek re-structuring and reformation? .......Believe me, if i were ojukwu, I would have done same...just that next time i would reachout strategically to more nations for support b/4 drawing my sword.

@@justiceonuoha2306very true, it all could have been avoided, right from the mutiny and treason committed by Nzewgwu and Ironsi.
The cold blooded murder of *Sir Ahmadu Bello* and Tafawa Balewa was totally unnecessary.
But still look at the upside, NNAMDI survived! Was he on holiday then? Yes he was!
But still after the civil war, the Igbo built a fortune in the North for decades.
No corner of the North will you not find an Igbo.
