Die hard SnapOn maximalist here with 15 years of shop experience... I sold all of my SnapOn cordless stuff and went with Milwaukee. I have zero regrets. Harder hitting, cheaper and just all around better tools imo. Hate me if you want too lol
Upgraded from an older 18v kit. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv I independently chose the drill and impact tool, before I came across the kit.I like the 3 speed impact gun. It seems more powerful than my older one, and it can be set to be really gentle. The drill is more appropriately sized for my use. I used to have a hammer drill, but I did not like that it was so big and it was not a great hammer drill. I rather have a smaller drill like this, and then get a corded hammer drill for the odd case I need that.
@Nathan The Snap On hand tools last for decades of rough use, so I'm not surprised to read that. Also that Snap On guarantee costs, but it's worth having.
@Nathan the sad part is what you describe happened to me with my ct761, my ct8550 and my Cdr761. My ct8550 lost power, my ct761 locked up and smoked and my cdr761 smoked out drilling a 1/4 hole in aluminum. Sent them all in as they smoked out. Traded them all in on hand tools and bought me a m12 set and m18 set. Had the snap on for a little over a year. I am now on my fourth with my Milwaukee stuff. Only issues I’ve had was I broke the pin on the ratchet, and the clutch because loose on my m12 drill after drilling 20 -4 1/4” holes on 1/2 aluminum tank sills. Since I’ve had the $20 dollar warranty on them at Home Depot I walked in with my old ones and walked out with new ones in less than 30 minutes. I wouldn’t buy snap on again I had $1,600 worth of batteries and tools and they left me having more than once 😂
The Ridgid from home Depot is a bad ass gun too, super strong, but the over amped motor won't last. But guess what? Ridgid will replace it, free. And pay for shipping. But I will stick to my snappy stuff, and not have to send it back, by the industry average failure time.
@Nathan must have gotten a shitty build then. I have just about every tool they make. My 3/8 and 1/2 I’ve had for about a year now. Being a diesel mechanic/ service guy at the same time. My tools have been dropped, hit, ran over once, in ran and all kinds of conditions. Works like I bought it yesterday. Never once gave it back to the tool guy to fix. Snap on has lost a lot of it touch in the tool world besides ratchets.
@Nathan ive used my first gen high torque 1/2 impact since the fuel series first came out, with every day use at my auto shop mind you, ive also had the 3/8 stubby since it came out and it hasn't missed a beat, also running the same batteries i bought with each kit
Fanboys on both sides too much hate. Who cares what tools we use as long as the job gets done and we like the tools. I use both Milwaukee and snappy they both work great
@@tmillner0682 ehh who cares man if it works for what you need doesn’t matter. My snappy dealer is great and has great service. Unlike what they said in the Video you cannot return your Milwaukee tools to Home Depot for warranty unless you buy Home Depot’s separate warranty if it breaks you have to mail in to Milwaukee and wait for repairs. It’s a pain and you are without a tool. My dealers Cornwell and snappy give me loaners if I’m out a tool
Here is the new Milwaukee mid torque vs Makita’s mid torque. th-cam.com/video/frnE1AA95ZU/w-d-xo.html Best around? Eh? Notice how the Makita one? Notice that?
@@juanc5149 I need to get into this conversation. I think Makita and Milwaukee are the best for your money first thing. I tend to lean Milwaukee though, but really can't knock Makita if your into that brand either. First off, the video you shared is tightening power. Wish he would have reverse threads to show loosening power, because tightening isn't always needed at above 250ft-lbs. Loosening is more important. Also the way its designed within, loosening and tightening is not always designed the same within the tool, there are many little secrets to make the tool more powerful in loosening than tightening. Finally I'll say this, these both perform pretty dang close in the tightening shown and are the top tools, back to my first comment. Yet, an HO battery was not used on the Milwaukee, and I'd put money on it, that a 6ah HO would change the outcome. Not sure if Makita has an HO equivalent, but, I believe not.
Boy am I glad that I became a mechanic in the last decade. Milwaukee is just eating Snap-on's lunch in the schoolyard & giving out money to the poor kids. Just the warranty alone would make me switch but to save 5 hondo & beat the specs, its a no brainier! Also don't forget about the other tools in Milwaukee battery platforms......I could build you a house & fix your car & still have money left to buy you dinner!🤣😂🤯
You are correct, Milwaukee is killing it with their impacts and other power tools. They continue to innovate as well. Btw, since you're buying dinner, I'll take a Porterhouse Medium with garlic butter. Thanks for watching.
It does make it unfortunate for those who have heavily invested into snap-on due to Milwaukee not being around. Myself and many other snap-on mechanics I've worked with all agree that you don't blow your money on any of there 18volt range. I have the 14.4v range which iv been extremely happy with, but even us fam boys know that Milwaukee is king of the brushless game.
It’s because you can just tell your Snap-on guy to put it on their account and he’ll show up weekly to collect his payment. Most mechanics are on the hook for thousands of 💵 for their overpriced tool boxes. Mechanics have been brand brainwashed by them for years but many are switching to Milwaukee.
@@weduhpeople8504 snap on makes a great 14.4 line. It's overpriced yes but the ct761 is legit worth every penny. The 18v line needs to get revamped. It's been unchanged basically for years and is way behind the time.
It's cause you can buy the snap-on on a payment plan, and you also have the truck coming to the shop weekly to take care of any issues, and also the snap on guy will usually help you out when you get into a bind. The Milwaukee is better I would say but you don't get a dealer who bends over backwards for you when you buy milwaukee.
I think it depends on the product, for power tools I don’t touch snap on, matter of fact I actually go with matco (and would love to see a head to head of that) however if you look at some of the rounded head technology for example snap on out performs the other brands. You just gotta research and see what’s better. For the ratchets I also personally prefer snap on, and I’ve had a chance to use mac matco and snap on for all 3 however that’s a personal preference, all 3 are good.
@Nathan if you are questioning the durability of the store guns I will let you know I have a dewalt 1/2 I use everyday. That thing fling across the shop on the regular. Falls off the lift, Sock goes one way, battery goes another, and the gun soars through the air spinning like a ballerina only to crash into the ground like a meteor. And with that said ive never had any issues with the gun. However, a fellow tech has the snap-on counterpart which is currently being rebuilt and he never drops his gun and doesnt put it anywhere near the abuse I throw at mine
Lol I seen that on the flyer they have me. We pretty much have every main cordless brand in our shop except snap on. Their hand tools are great; cordless tool are the laughingstock of the USA
It's amazing how far behind snapon is. Almost every mid torque on the market from a decent brand can perform at or above that level. At least they're honest about their specs.
@@charles-davidberube1174 that's awesome if it actually hits that. I know harbor freight 3/4 claims 1440 and it's not even close . I use to work on impacts and you have to put it on a Skidmore tester to know for sure
I own around 40k of Snap-On tools and don't owe a penny and I've only been in the field for 10 years. Most guys spend more money on cigarettes, fast food, and energy drinks than tools. It's all about priorities.
Been in the trade for 30 years, no question, Snap on "had" good tools at one time. No quality anymore. Now only MAC tools for durability and cost for me. One of the guys here have a Milwaukee impact, it does hit harder. Getting that much power out of something so small is very impressive. I want.
My snap on dealer has learnt I'm a Milwaukee power tools guy, he still has fun saying things like "ahh that's because you don't want that much power". Snap on makes great wrenches and spanners, but I wouldn't make a fuss about anything else they sell. Great vid
I have the high TQ Milwaukee. I have ran into a few occasions where it wouldn't break a bolt loose. The NEW Snap On ct9075 I borrowed from a co-worker DID break said bolts loose during the few times my gun wouldn't. Its not rated near as high as my Milwaukee, so I can say their 1/2" drive is superior. I've experienced it !!!
@@btchllama , not sure what “game a laugh” means, don’t speak that language. But I know what happened because I was the guy running the tool! I own the Milwaukee, so I’ve got no incentive to promote snap on. Just calling it like it was.... and if you’ve experienced the opposite, I would wager that it was the older snap on gun not the newest one that they have. Again, I’ll restate.... I’m a Milwaukee guy, have lots of their tools and love them. But I’m not going to lie about what’s happened on more than one occasion. We also tried a friends Milwaukee just to make sure it wasn’t something with mine or the battery, didn’t change anything. I can see this is one of those typical scenarios where your tool is the greatest, and all others are junk, especially more expensive tools LOL. I got nothing against snap on..... they have good tools, just expensive. But the Milwaukee, Dewalt, Ingersol and others are so close on power, any one will serve you well.
I have been a Snap-On buyer for 20 years and have paid a lot of money in tools, especially battery impacts. I just bought the whole Milwaukee set and i will never trade them in. I'm totally happy with these bad ass impacts. I use them alot on semi engines. Worth the buy.
@@robe5000 tbh it’d probably be a better investment just to discard you snap on batteries and just buy Milwaukee just bc the price and the terrible warranty on the snap on
@@giovanysantiago5892 I’m a Milwaukee fan myself, but to be honest, I think one of the reasons people still buy the snap on is because a lot of the times, they can just put it on an account, and pay overtime. It’s also sometimes convenient for some people too. But the price difference on the Snap on, and Milwaukee if day and night.
Just ordered both mid torques and the 3/8 compact. Been using the same 2654-20 for 6 years in the diesel shop. From MY personal experience you just can’t beat the performance, warranty, and the reliability. Love the videos. Always some good content
Nick, appreciate your input. I'm returning to "shop life" after a 10 year break (trucker- mechanic) Been looking at cordless impacts and already found one "flaw" I'm going to stay away from by watching these videos.
I have been converted! I have nothing but Snap On in my toolbox but I'm tired if their insane pricing. I have been looking at Milwaukee for some time, this video helped me decide. Thanks
But boloney can be good. You smoke it for about 2 hours, put some barbecue sauce on it, put it back in the smoker for an hour and you have some fine sandwich makings...
Snap on just needs to dump their power tool line and give up. They can't even beat Milwaukee's 12V tools using their 14V tools. The fact Snap on now sells Milwaukee power tools out of their truck says it all lol .... Just stick to hand tools Snap on, expensive but still good.
@@jascospeed i own both and yes the milwaukee has more power for sure. I just wish milwaukee would come out with a rocker trigger like snap on. working on cars its just so much more convenient having a rocker switch. i do like them both though for certain things. im also talking 12v and 14.4v to be clear.
THANK YOU for putting the model numbers up front and center when you first start your review! All the talk about the great value of a Milwaukee tool means nothing when they have so many of the different models and you don't know which one the guy is actually reviewing. They're all red, they all look pretty much the same the the model number, means everything! 😊
I've been watching several channels re mid-range impact wrenches and how the compare with each other. Without a doubt the M18 Milwaukee Impact Wrench had routinely beat out the competition in all instances. So two days ago I ordered the 1/2" version (I only have 1/2" impact sockets) of the Milwaukee. My only issue with Milwaukee is that I had been heavily invested in another tool battery platform, but despite that, I had to go with the better tool. BTW, this will be my first M18 tool.
Shit I can send you a pic of my 3/8 anvil on my 9010. It has sheered right off. My coworker has had two 9010 anvils break. i just picked up the Milwaukee today, going to put it to the test.
Lots of tool guys doing reviews out here but I like your style. Great work! I'm a service tech on arial equipment and I scratched my head for awhile over Snappy v Milwaukee and gladly ended up with Milwaukee. Have most of the M12 fuel stuff and the 1/2 plus 3/4 M18 fuel impacts. All are beasts. Just had to send my 3/4 back after 2yrs and had it back after 2wks totally free of charge. Great stuff with great service and warranty.
Thanks for the good review. I've had snap on cordless tools for the past few years but recently sold them all and switched to Milwaukee, and won't ever go back. It's a no brainer on Cost, warranty, and power. However, I will say snap on has one advantage... $20 a week vs. paid in full at once
@@cdstruckandoutdoor7219 he's saying if you're gonna go ahead and extend credit for something you could just got to Home Depot and spend the same 20 dollars a week.
For the price of that StrapOn impact, I would've bought the new mid torque kit with 2 batteries and charger, high torque impact, and the new M18 stubby compact impact that's 3 Milwaukee impacts with a much much better warranty for about $870 -$880 depends where you buy them from.
Same here got it a few months ago my nephew got the snap-on everytime he need to take off the axels of the f 350 he goes to my toolbox for my M18 1/2 gen 2.
And I am another - 30 year diesel tech with both a 72" box at the shop AND service truck full of Snap-On hand tools but Milwaukee cordless tools are where it's at. I don't think anybody in my shop (or the hands I run into in the field) still uses Snap-On cordless guns anymore. It's not about hurting "fan boys" feelings, its professionals using what works and Milwaukee cordless tools put in the work!
I’ve had Dewalt and Makita never Milwaukee. After watching a few videos I’m giving Milwaukee a shot, seems to outperform everything it goes up against!
I I just collecting the set myself. Almost went with Makita but instead went with the fuel line. Expensive but haven't been disappointed yet. Wait for deals. I just picked up the mid torque half-inch with a 5 amp battery for only 220
That is night and day!! I’m a hgv mechanic and use snap on hand tools and air tools but I’m starting my Milwaukee cordless adventure and videos like this reinforce why I’m going Milwaukee
Milwaukee has a better design, you can use the batteries for multiple power tools, it’s stronger, and offers a lot more overall for a better price I don’t see how you can go wrong buying the Milwaukee
I bought the 3/8" and 1/2" Snap On when the last versions came out. They were VERY Expensive and our newer Milwaukee stuff at work is all over my snap on stuff by a big margin. The Big 1/2" Milwaukee I have at work is an absolute BEAST.
I just picked up the 2962-20 bare tool for $249.00 at Homer's despot. What a deal! Couldn't be happier. That's the 1/2" version of this one. I have plenty of Milwaukee, so batteries and charger are already in house.
They are awesome! I just got a new mid torque for $110 at Home Depot as part of a combo deal with the metal circular saw! They are running great deals. I now have two mid torques. Beasts!
I enjoyed this comparison. The only upside to Snap-On is the ability to make relatively small payments weekly and put the tool in your hand now. 25 bucks a week for three months doesn’t seem harsh, until you add it up. I see the following as more of a preference rather than a criticism; I like to the point, @projectfarm comes to mind. He gets it done quick. Over a million followers seem to agree as well. All the best to you and Merry Christmas! Subed and liked. 👍
Thank you for the sub and the watch. We like PF too; however, we do things a little different. After all, we don't want to be exactly like anyone. Thanks for watching.
Great video. I am surprised by the results. I have a lot of Milwaukee tools but mostly because Snap-On is too expensive. Obviously more expensive doesn't mean better.
Not sure why people think one category is the only defining factor if a tool has 30 pound feet less is it really that much more inferior? Especially if it's a $150 cheaper ....I think I'll take 30 less pound feet and live without Milwaukee hype... and have more money
Milwaukee fan boys are like a cult. And now that 2767 has been skidmore tested. It turned out I was right along. It’s got maybe 10 to 70 more ft lbs then the Makita or dcf899. And that can be explained by battery type used on the other brands. A DCF899 with a 9 ah FlexVolt is more powerful than a 2767 with regular xc battery. The reason is because people just believe stated specs on the box. See the 2767 barely reaches its claimed fastening torque of 1000. Where as the other two brands exceed their fastening torque of 700 or 750 ft lbs by a few hundred ft lbs. putting them all much closer. Ingersoll Rand is way more powerful and it’s only a matter of time where I’ll be able to post concrete proof of this.
I'm a little newer to the cordless game, picked up a normal Mil m18 drill a few years ago and thought it was all I'd ever need. Then I picked up a fuel impact driver last week and it blew me away. Holy shit lol just picked up the mid torque wrench Yesterday, can't wait to bust some nuts! 😂
Anything hand tool I’m die hard snap on it Matco, when it comes to electric impacts I’m a die hard Milwaukee fan, other than the electric ratchets. I really like the snap on electric ratchets more than the Milwaukee in that case. I have not tried the 90 degree Milwaukee impact ratchet yet but I think Milwaukee is the only brand that makes that as far as I know. It’s all personal preference.
It is personal preference, you are correct. However, it becomes harder and harder to prefer something, the less it performs and the higher the cost. Thanks for watching.
Very new to a trade job and use all Milwaukee power tools. There’s a reason all the guys use them. My foreman has one that’s beat to hell and still running strong. They’re not cheap btw, they just don’t happen to be insanely expensive like snap on. Super good video btw, will be subscribing!
This is a great review and it looks like the Milwaukee kicks the crap out of the snap on like most of their tools. But does anyone have any real experience with this? I am an auto mechanic and have an m12 stubby 3/8” impact that is strong enough for almost anything. If it can’t get it off, it is probably an application for the 1/2” m18. With my m12 I can remove and also install engine manifolds, pulleys, brackets and small suspension stuff. These high power 3/8 tools might not be so great for the smaller stuff. That is why they need an adapter for the tests. Just get a 1/2” wrench for the big stuff.
I used to use a Harbor Freight corded impact wrench to R/R lug nuts for many years. Changing to the Milwaukee Mid-Torque battery operated impact wrench was like heaven.
Owner of both. For the money Milwaukee has it going on. Love my snap on gun but I won't lie to you , my go to in my toolbox is the Milwaukee lineup that I have now. Only time will tell if they will last but so far I'm impressed.
I am not surprised Milwaukee beat the brakes off of Snap On. Weight, price, performance, warranty and looks Milwaukee has Snap On beat. I have BIG BERTHA - 1/2" 1000/1400 ft-lbs impact wrench and unless it is seized I can get anything off and do the work I need to do. I just picked up the 1/2" big brother to the 3/8" you tested just for the weight of the gun. BIG BERTHA wears you out after wrenching all day.
I worked at a Chevy shop and most people had snap on. No one really had a milwaukee tool, but me. Some Makita, but mostly snap on. I now work at a Honda dealership. When I got there, I realized most people had Milwaukee tools. I laughed of joy for some reason! They're nice cordless tools for sure! Hoping to pick the new mid torque in the near future. Have a great day ya'll!
You take the Snap on logo of that impact and looks like a Bauer from harbor freight. Serious looks cheap, bister buttons sticker looks like it'll come off and no rubber overmold protection on the back. Snap on just give up and stick to hand tools. Asking $800 is insulting for this. But Strap On boys will buy lol ...
Liked the video but really like the presentation. Clear, to the point and little criticism on either brand. A "test" as it were. Good job. Thank you. Subbed
Milwaukee is king of power tools. As a generator tech, I use my Milwaukee M12 & M18 power tools on a daily basis. They are good tools. I would choose Milwaukee over Snap-on any day.
@@Shoptoolreviews Yes Ryobi has, I have some older ryobi stuff kicking around and for the price they weren't too bad but now they seem like they want to earn the more top end consideration,,,,to them I say good deal kick A-- there's room at the top for one more at least.
What I've noticed is the 1/2 Milwaukee impacts lose a decent amount of power when used regularly. They don't have the beefy hammers inside that the snap on does. However 18v Milwaukee has always been ahead on power. (When new at least). The 14.4 line is a pretty solid line though. I chose the 14.4 line for work over the m12 options. 18v though have always bought Milwaukee. I've also noticed the battery play and flexing of the tool with the Milwaukee but hey 5 year warranty and 1/2 price of snap on on so hard to complain really.
I make the move from dewalt to milwaukee a little while ago, i’m making my mechanic moving from snap on to milwaukee, they’re so damn expensive, 800 for a jumper and broke and the third use, no way snap on
I recommend snap on hand tools , milwaukee M12, Makita 18V if you can handle the battery cost. Long time using milwaukee, I realized it is only about the power. makita has enough power, light weight and better tool quality especially the way battery is fitted. However compact M12 is the number one top dog for automotive.
@TaintedMojo for $499 you only get the CT-9010 and 1 battery. You don't the charger or the 2nd battery. The Milwaukee is $419 for the tool, 2 batteries, and charger.
I had snap on ni cad 1/2 and 3/8 impact wrench and had zero issues ever. When snap on came out with the"monster lithium" 1/2 and 3/8 set I got them both. The first year my 3/8 was rebuilt 5TIMES and my 1/2 was rebuilt 3TIMES!!!!!! Sold the both and got milwaukee 1/2, 3/8, light, and grease gun no issues at all. I would never go snap on again 🤷🏼♂️

I work in aviation as an A&P mechanic. Never use any heavy duty power tools like impact guns. I have a toolbox full of snap-on hand tools which I love and will take to the grave. I have a snap on brushless drill and a snap on screw gun too. Love em, but if I were to redo my decision, I’d probably go Milwaukee. For light to medium duty work, snap on power tools are fine but if I were in automotive, you bet I’d take Milwaukee any day. Snap-on’s “heavy duty” power tools are abysmal for the money! Wow!
I love snap-on 14.4 ratchets and the ct761. But the 18v stuff just leaves alot to be desired. My go to impacts are the m12 stubby and the ct761. Two areas id like Milwaukee to improve in are battery fit / durability and warranty. I know people who sent off impacts to be repaired only to be sent back in a million pieces stating moisture caused the failure and that would not be covered. Snap-on flat rate repair is actually a great setup. If your tool is outta warranty you send it in and for 125 they repair or replace the tool. I'd like to see Milwaukee do something like that.

Oh man, you’re about to hurt some strap on fanboys feelings with this video but that’s great!👍🏼
I really don't intend to hurt feelings, but I do want the data and truth to be out there. Thanks for watching and commenting.
☠️ 😂
Fanboys on both sides too much hate. Who cares what tools we use as long as the job gets done and we like the tools. I use both Milwaukee and snappy they both work great
I'm one of them, my ct9010 is on the way... Not happy after this review. Guess I'll be getting the milwaukee too
@@tmillner0682 ehh who cares man if it works for what you need doesn’t matter.
I'm not sure anyone asks how the Milwaukee compares to snap on when everyone knows Milwaukee is the best around

Here is the new Milwaukee mid torque vs Makita’s mid torque.
th-cam.com/video/frnE1AA95ZU/w-d-xo.html
Best around? Eh? Notice how the Makita one? Notice that?
@jeongja2
Must of missed the part where Makita was the better performer.
You're just trying to start the brawl. :) Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews anytime your in Greensboro, NC ......just call me😊
It does make it unfortunate for those who have heavily invested into snap-on due to Milwaukee not being around. Myself and many other snap-on mechanics I've worked with all agree that you don't blow your money on any of there 18volt range. I have the 14.4v range which iv been extremely happy with, but even us fam boys know that Milwaukee is king of the brushless game.
Team red baby
Snap on just got Owned, bruh, Milwaukee took his dignity and lunch money...

Snap On
Leading the way in over priced tools! 😀
there is also something to be said about longevity of the product. While this cannot be tested here.
Right on! Thanks for watching.
@@Arthagnou You have a point there. While thats also puzzling Im not sure why there would be a 1 yr warranty if they make a long lasting product?
@@Arthagnou Yeah the warranty says it all. They are both Chinese one just comes with a 1000% profit margin.
Yep
You see the snap on is a huge waste of money, I'm not sure why anyone would ever buy them. Milwaukee is always the way to go
Some would disagree, but it does seem to be an easy choice. Thanks for watching.
The Snap-on impact is a turd considering how expensive it is.
That's one expensive turd. Thanks for watching.
Milwaukee is the king of cordless, I picked up a set years ago and for the price it smokes anything my other friends have from snap-on
Thanks for watching.
But snap-on “created a monster”. They said so on their flyer. Gtfo strap-on
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Nathan and Milwaukee will do the same thing to it
Was looking through same flyer and compared it to Milwaukee and showed my Snap On guy and he didn't know what to say.
Not only did Milwaukee remove the nuts it did it so effortlessly it's unreal while a snap on had to hammer away for a long time
Very true. Thanks for watching.
If ONLY I could get other things to hammer away for a long time🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
(Sorry- couldn't resist)
It's amazing how far behind snapon is. Almost every mid torque on the market from a decent brand can perform at or above that level. At least they're honest about their specs.
Same for roll carts. S.O = $1970.00 UG=$549.00 I would have to wear out 3.5 US General carts to every 1 snap on.
But none hit harder than snap ones new high torque 1/2 inch impact. I'm buying one this week after comparing them on the job
@@rickywoods3101milwaukee high torque hits 1600 ft/pd
@@charles-davidberube1174 that's awesome if it actually hits that. I know harbor freight 3/4 claims 1440 and it's not even close . I use to work on impacts and you have to put it on a Skidmore tester to know for sure
Not shocked. Snap-On getting exposed. Love it.
Lots of tears over this video. Mechanics are crying right now cuz they still owe Snap-On and Mac 30k.
Very true. Thanks for watching
I want.
😂😂😂
Honestly I own both brands but at the end of the day Milwaukee is always my go to
Thanks for watching.
My snap on dealer has learnt I'm a Milwaukee power tools guy, he still has fun saying things like "ahh that's because you don't want that much power". Snap on makes great wrenches and spanners, but I wouldn't make a fuss about anything else they sell. Great vid
Maybe you should show this video to your Snap-On dealer. lol. Thanks for watching.
@@franksikorski5390 and I HAVE experienced the OPPOSITE of that situation at MY work. Not sure what your going for here. But you sure gave me a laugh.

Snap on is getting their behind kicked so badly in the impact game that they invented their own spec “true torque” or some boloney like that 🤣
That, they are. Thanks for watching.
But boloney can be good. You smoke it for about 2 hours, put some barbecue sauce on it, put it back in the smoker for an hour and you have some fine sandwich makings...
All the generic brands are lising INCH pounds on the box now so they can have a bigger number.
Same thing as "nut busting torque." It's all marketing wank for suckers either way. Buy what you like.
@@buckhorncortez that's pretty funny😂👍
Snap on needs to take a backseat when it comes to brushless tools honestly
In this case, for sure.
@@Shoptoolreviews Yeah but in much more than just this case though
Snap on just needs to dump their power tool line and give up. They can't even beat Milwaukee's 12V tools using their 14V tools. The fact Snap on now sells Milwaukee power tools out of their truck says it all lol .... Just stick to hand tools Snap on, expensive but still good.

THANK YOU for putting the model numbers up front and center when you first start your review! All the talk about the great value of a Milwaukee tool means nothing when they have so many of the different models and you don't know which one the guy is actually reviewing. They're all red, they all look pretty much the same the the model number, means everything! 😊
Milwaukee has come along way in the past decade or so. Started out as a fairly decent mechanic's tool to a top of the line tool.
They're moving up. Thanks for watching.
I feel like the most amazing part of this test is that a 3/8" anvil doesn't explode with that much torque.
You and me both. It's amazing how much abuse these little anvils will take. Thanks for watching.
That's great to hear, and thanks for the kind words. So glad the M12 and M18 tools are working for you. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the good review. I've had snap on cordless tools for the past few years but recently sold them all and switched to Milwaukee, and won't ever go back. It's a no brainer on Cost, warranty, and power. However, I will say snap on has one advantage... $20 a week vs. paid in full at once

For the price of that StrapOn impact, I would've bought the new mid torque kit with 2 batteries and charger, high torque impact, and the new M18 stubby compact impact that's 3 Milwaukee impacts with a much much better warranty for about $870 -$880 depends where you buy them from.
That's a great point. 3 impacts or just 1? That's a pretty simple answer. Thanks for the input.

I enjoyed this comparison. The only upside to Snap-On is the ability to make relatively small payments weekly and put the tool in your hand now. 25 bucks a week for three months doesn’t seem harsh, until you add it up.

Here in Australia. Milwaukee is king. Best value for money, best warranty and the best tool. Why would you buy anything else.
Milwaukee has the strongest impact tools I've ever seen and used..... they're on top of the game...... the absolute king of power....
The ingersoll Rand is more powerful
@@skotsephrenia1 no it isnt

Yeah, I'm not sure that I understand what they're doing. I can understand late to the game, but whey release something underwhelming as well? And, you're the highest price. It doesn't make a lot of sense. Thanks for watching.
Yeah and then charge a 1/4 more for something that underperforms. What a joke
@@Shoptoolreviewsthey rely on thier blind fan boys/loyalist to keep then going
Doesnt help that in schools they get pushed on to the students with sone discount
Im glad I bought the M12s when I started. Now moving up to M18s. Best brand on the market
Good choice. Milwaukee definitely leads the pack with impact wrenchs. Thanks for watching.
That new snap on look like a low end tool but cost the most madness, sold my sand on and moved to milwaukee 2 years ago and I haven't looked back
Like so many others. Thanks for watching.
Milwaukee I'm a diehard now, i like everything you do, just keep on do it better 😉
I have a Milwaukee M12 1/2" stubby and it is actually a beast. It does lug nuts without an issue. Perfect portable emergency roadside assistance..lol.
No doubt! Excellend impact for keeping in the car. Thanks for watching.
I'm a Snap on guy but that Milwaukee has me reconsidering.
The Ct9010 has a 2 year warranty, not 1.
Great video
Right on. Thanks for watching.
Wow!
I love Milwaukee. Best stuff and well worth the $ you pay. I'm getting one of these.
Thanks for watching.
Yes, the Snap-On flate rate repair is a nice service, although it can be complicated. I also agree, the 14.4V impacts are awesome with the rocker switch for fwd/rev. Thanks for watching.
Snap Ons warranty is hot shit and you're complaining about Milwaukees?
@@svn5994 yes I am... snap-on does have terrible warranty but Milwaukee has denied warranties on tools and aent it back in a box in a million pieces. 5 year warranty is useless if they wont cover the tool. If Milwaukee had a flat rate repair system itd be alot better is all I'm saying...I even stated in my original reply that snap-on 18volt line just isnt cutting it and I have Milwaukee impacts,drills,etc.. but if you brag on your 5 year warranty back it up.
Snap on were only ever going to go backwards.. The competition closing in.. And now over taken them.. That's the problem about being at the top..
There's only one way to go after that.... Good video. 👍👌
Well said. Thanks for watching.
I have been buying snap on since the 80s , if not then I get Mac . I work on million dollar equipment, but I have never bought there cordless or air 1/2 inch impacts I have always felt the value was not there. No snap-on is not just a name ( but it's going that way) and the tools I do have of theirs is the best imo .
Where I work there are DeWalt, Milwaukee and Snap on battery impact drivers are used by different techs. Milwaukee is king in this field and I am the Dewalt guy saying this. If/when the dewalts fail, I will start buying Milwaukee.
Thanks for being honest. I have no problem with DeWalt, and they make some great tools. However, Milwaukee is on the game when it comes to impacts. They continue to innovate. Thanks for watching.
Milwaukee just so savage!!! Glad I bought it!!!
good job but i would definitely take milwaulkee mid torque its a wonderful tool
the strap on electric impacts are all made over seas (same with Milwaukee) but still feel they can charge double the price because it says snap on. Milwaukee's are more powerful, have better batteries, cheaper and have a much better warranty. the snap on electric tools are for suckers who think owning snap on tools makes them a better mechanic.
All power tools are made overseaes.
@Giorgio Mumda well I learn something new everyday!
Thanks for watching.
That Snap On got wrecked.. but now Makita has a mid torque that is even stronger than the Milwaukee and it’s a great price.
Yeah, that new XWT17 Makita is a beast. We reviewed it too. Thanks for watching.
Great video as always! Everyone have a joyous holiday season and Happy New Year... please stay safe....😁
Thank you! Merry Christmas to You too!
Outstanding @ impressive demonstration, allowed me to congratulate you, very interesting result, most kind of you of for bring it to us, please keep up the good work. Who know if snap on send someone to stop you on your outstanding presentation.
Thank you very much!
@@Shoptoolreviews enjoy your new year with your love ones and your toys.
Snap on looks good compared to Amazon buy Milwaukee should be compared with Ryobi hp one+, dewalt X-r, kobalt Xtr, makita 40v XGT, craftsman, rigid high tourqe impact wrench! But like the video thank u.
Milwaukee is in another level. Competitors need to catch up!!!! specially the truck tool guys for the $$$ they charge they should always be leading the way in all tool categories!
Exactly right. Thanks for watching.
