Damn GT3 was ahead of its time
I still can't believe something this good looking and with great gameplay came out in 2001.

I loved the simplicity of the earlier gran turismo games. I wish racing games were like this just with better graphics and online

This is one of the sickest game back then. I was a sophomore in high school. I use to race over n over to earn money. Final gameshark came around. I was so happy when i was able to buy cars from the dealerships that i couldnt afford. Techno, rave, street racing,clubbing. The good old days. I wish i can relive it again.
That feeling when this game still looks as good as a lot of racing games today...
First game I had on PS2. Bought the PS2 bundle that came with this game in fact. The box was red. The graphics on the box were the same as the cover of the game. I remember buying the bundle actually saved me 20 bucks!
Raiden Shields So many good memories, I remember my brother coming home with a PS2 GT3 Bundle back in ‘03 or ‘04 and it was like €450 euros at that time. My little 8 year old brain was instantly hooked. Good times.
Got this game when I was 6, can't remember much of my early days but the music and menus take me back to a time when the world was so small

Depends what u want first, if u want to upload some games u can try with PSX, It have tons of games and barely any PC can run they
You need to upgrade ur CPU to i3-3ghz+ (minimum) to get stable 60fps bro and get a decent GPU like 750ti/1050. I think it's not worth to get the capture card.. because u can use 'shadowplay' to record the gameplay.

Yes the Spoon S2000 Race Car is a race car (it's name), the reason why it is grouped with rally cars is because they have a similar HP rating. It's like if you use one of your tuned cars from your garage in arcade mode, the power of the AI cars is adjusted so that it matches that of yours. For example, if I use my 550hp Lancer Evo 6, I may end up with either the high end group C cars or the Mid high Race cars like the Corvette C5R or the Ford GT40 Race Car.
This brought me back to my childhood, thanks!

Hey I fixed that transmission bug with the sample 001 car, I basically used gt3 editor to replace the original transmission with another cars racing transmission then I went to adjust on the ps2 and now the gears are normal!
Note: The reverse gear is still backwards still trying to fix it I’ll make a vid soon sub and like if u wanna see it!

what grinds my gears about this car is when the peak power was listed at 11000rpm but in game it can only reach up to 9500rpm
p.s. u prolly should wait for next (two) year(s) if you wanna upgrade your gpu

This game released same year as Gta 3. Look at Gta 3 and look at this game. Gran Turismo 3 details and graphics far better than Gta 3... and still better than Gta vc, Gta sa, Gta 4, nearly same as Gta 5. Still comparable still comparable today's game!

Btw did you know that there's a secret difficulty if you press l1 and r1 at the same time while on the difficulty select screen? It replaces hard difficulty and has 10 laps and tire damage.

GT3. Definitely. GT4 is good, don't get me wrong, and has the higher resolution and the gameplay is the same for both, pretty much. But 3 is the better game, and the one you'll go back to frequently. Ideally you play it on a 60GB PS3, the one that is BC using hardware, not software, and out HDMI to a decent size TV. 42" is nice. Sit close.
GT3 has a lot of nostalgia but I was too young to really get into it. Although I must have played a lot. GT4 was the one I played everyday after-school for as long as I remember
Get into it now! You're in for a real treat. Especially if you loved GT4. It's just like with Forza. 4 was better than 5 and 3 was better than 4 although the 3rd and 4th were fairly close in quality, 3 was more fun. Weird how that is true for both GT and Forza.
