Very good tutorial, I bought a brand new SS hood for my 70 Malibu restoration and this video was real helpful. Been watching a lot of your vids, I got that assembly manual as well, great info in there.

The 71 manual has the set up that has just the two nuts. So, Yeah they did change it for 1971. I don't know about 72.

This two nuts used lock the stick.. nuts lock and pin it
