- Except I cut out the live songs from the Dallas Starplex show, ̶b̶e̶c̶a̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶r̶e̶d̶u̶n̶d̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶ ̶b̶e̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶n̶c̶l̶u̶d̶e̶d̶ ̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ UPDATE: Initially that was true, but some folks asked, so we tried to up the entire Dallas Starplex show and received a © block. Tried to re-up this set WITH the Dallas Starplex tracks and the same thing happened. Something about those tracks has extra protection on it. Wish we could share, as it's a wonderful set, but TH-cam and record label entities do not want it "out there" it seems. I, for one, will remain hopeful that this means an official release of the Dallas Starplex show is forthcoming. Absolutely exposed, Robert and the Cure at their best. Raw emotions and expressions felt to the deepest part of my soul. The last 10 minutes had me in tears.

Painting by music and voice, the same picture but each time painted becomes such a different.
Some of these reminded me of how sublime and beautiful this music is.

So firstly want to say I'm so incredibly thankful to hear these studio, demo, songwriting sessions. I love hearing where songs began, especially from The Cure. The single most wonderfuland influential band in my life since I was 12! I grew up in a community of creative people, and recdording music that just evolved as we went along was a great experience. Some half decent songs even came out of it haha. Not sure why you say '88-'89 though, cos Faith, that appears around 55 mins in (what initially sounded like a very long jam session, but turned out to actually be a live gig) came out in 1981?

Imagine me hearing these "demo or out takes" ! This was the first CD I ever bought. Hearing Prayers For Rain was almost spiritual as its one of my faves. Theres so many on this it's hard to pick. I was really getting into Siouxsie at that time. I feel a big part of many humans life has been destroyed by hi tech, cell phones and then ultimately internet and smart phones. When we were kids we were really into music, Skating, BMX, Snowboarding a little and we "not all" were really into music. Discovering new groups all the time. Now internet and social media dictates to kids whats good.
Reminds me on why I feel in love with them

@George Ahh. . . yeah, those are live recordings taken from the Dallas Starplex show, which I'm not able to find in its' entirety on TH-cam. It was available to stream on the Disintegration microsite back when the deluxe edition was issued. I may have to upload it. Stay tuned.

He shaved his head and didn't like his hair so he wore the Hat the entire tour
@@allowyou9225 Really? I thought he just liked the hat. Anyway, I was just thinking about how Lol has a head of white hair now. I guess Robert and Simon dye their hair. I'd like to see Robert with his big hair, but grey. I wonder what the deal with Simon is now. He "quit" the band a couple months ago. I wonder if that was just a hissy fit or if it was real.

@@allowyou9225 I hope that Robert lets his hair go natural. I'd like to see him grey. I'd also like to see him with short hair again. With their age and the pandemic and everything, I can understand why Simon would want to quit. I wonder if they'll come out with any new music though. It seems to always be in the works and Robert does a lot of side projects, but it might be nice to hear a full Cure album. Then again, maybe it's best they stop making new Cure music. They seem to be going to direction of the Rolling Stones, where all the old music is still great, but new stuff sort of sucks.
