    I signed up to remote test and took the first session this morning. I take the second session tomorrow morning. Your lectures truly made a difference in how I approached the exam today. While, yes, it is a difficult exam, your techniques helped tremendously. Thank you. Watching more tonight before the second session tomorrow. Thank you so much for giving so much of your time to others and God bless you!

    Mr Hoang, I took the CPC exam and had a lot of issues with this section-I did not pass the exam. The wording is what confused me because in the guidelines Procedure page it reads "Initial" but in the code section page(s) it reads Insertion. It would be nice if AMA were consistent with the wording in the guidelines and code section. I will continue to watch your videos as they help tremendously. Keep up the great work.

    • @codingwithhoang
      @codingwithhoang  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Martha. I know it's very confusing to read CPT codes' description in this section and that's why I advise everyone to write down my code sets in your book and use it based on the scenarios: initial insertion, battery change or device upgrade. Now you know so you will be fine next time. Good luck with exam next time.

  • @neferpitou8967
    @neferpitou8967 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Sir Nguyen, in CPT 2021 there is a table for the pacemakers and deffibrilator procedures on p244 it would still take time when you have that alone, but with your strategy and points and ideas on how to tackle procedure problems on cardiac devices it is way easier and simpler to understand.
    I added notes on that page on the table, such as "battery change only, upgrade, initital no prior device and etc.", so that if such questions in CPC exam comes I'll just look into the table with my notes and I'll easily get the answer with so little time consumed.
    Thank you very much!

    • @codingwithhoang
      @codingwithhoang  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You got it Nefer. I got confused when I used the table inside the CPT book and that's why I came up with my own table so that I can code these case correctly. Thank you so much for your comment and support.

    I believe there is a mistake at 17:07. You list 33224 and 33225 as Removal of transveneous PM electrode. I believe the right codes are 33234 and 33235. Am I correct?

    • @codingwithhoang
      @codingwithhoang  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Sharon, you are correct. This is my typo mistake. It should be 33234 (removal of PM electrode, one lead) and 33235 (remove of PM electrode two leads) I know 33225 is the insertion of the LV lead. Thank you for pointing it out.

    Hello Mr. Hoang. Thank you so much for these videos. I just found your channel. I already have CPC but I forgot most rules and guidelines. I am confused. Could you please let me know which of your playlists I need to follow? Thanks

    • @codingwithhoang
      @codingwithhoang  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Fatemeh. You should start with the "CPC exam Prep" playlist. If you are new to coding then you should also watch the videos " "Introduction to ICD-10-CM" and "Introduction to CPT" I hope it helps.

    Thank you for your videos!!! They were amazing & helped me effectively pass my CPC exam on the first shot! Do you have any advice for writing my resume now that I passed and can start applying in this new career?

    • @codingwithhoang
      @codingwithhoang  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Gina. Congratulations on passing the CPC exam on your first try. I am very impress. Thank you so much for sharing this good news with me. I don't know your education and background in order to give you a specific advice on how to write your resume. Assuming you've never worked in a hospital then you need to list your education first for example your BA, BS or AA degree and the courses that will help you with coding, for example a statistic course helps me pay attention to details and numbers and as a result, will also help me with coding . Second, any positions that you had in the past that showcase your skills and they will also help you with coding. If I know a coding position that you are applying for then I should be able to tell what you should put on your resume. I wish you the best in your job search. All the best.

    Is code 33226 to be used for a biventricular pacing lead repositioning? And then 33215 is for a pacemaker/defibrillator lead repositioning?

    • @codingwithhoang
      @codingwithhoang  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you are correct! please be note that revision or reposition code can be assigned only when the same lead is reused; once they use a new lead then you need to use the replacement code. I hope it helps.

    Are we supposed to use 33225 as an add on code with CPT 33207 and 33208?

  • @blossommay1763
    @blossommay1763 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi anh Hoang, just want to let you know that the code 33229 is out of numerical sequence ( 18:36') in my CPT 2021 version. Which code should be replaced? Thank you!

    • @codingwithhoang
      @codingwithhoang  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have the new 2021 book but based on the coding software, 33229 is still a valid code in 2021 for removal and replacement of pacemaker pulse generator/battery, multiple lead system type. That said, you need to locate this code in your CPT book, there is no replacement. I hope it helps.
