Hey everyone, I re-created my recipe to get a mud colored pigment for the epoxy. I used 4 parts yellow, 1 part red, 1 part blue, and 4 parts white to get a good base. From there you can experiment with adding in more red or blue to get a warmer or cooler toned mud, and you could even add in a small amount of black if you wanted to as well. The pigments I got were just a epoxy resin pigment kit that I purchased off of Amazon.
My favourite miniature painter strikes again. Your timing couldn't be any better. I collect Space Marines Raptors & Black Templar, Necrons Thokt inspired custom Dynasty, IG/DKoK, Imperial Knights and Tau. You've almost provided a guide on everyone one of them!
Definitely subbed since finding your grimdark raptors video. Recently got back into 40k after not being in the hobby for over a decade, and wanted something dark but couldn't decide on a space marine chapter until finding your work. Thanks for the videos you put out!
did you prime the bases before hand, or is that just going over straight basing texture? i got the ak earth texture stuff, and i wanted to make sure i could jut paint over that. Along with that, is that the muddy ground texture paste? I love how chunky and how truly like mud it looks, and im looking to recreate this same base for a killteam that im doing
Hey, I'm a little late-and very new to painting-but I'd like to know how you do the mud on the coats. Can you actually just use the mud texture paint from the base to do that? [Edit: I found your video on how you painted your Kriegsmen. I can't believe I had not discovered you sooner! Perfect! I've spent literal hours searching for a tutorial on this exact style of Kriegsman, and believe me, when I get a little better at painting (I started two days ago), I'm coming back to your channel and I'm giving it a go.] I hope that mess of words makes some sort of sense...
I know I'm a biiiiit late to this, but I highly recommend pinning mini's to the base. This makes it far less probable that it will ever break off. Basicly get a hand drill, some small drill bits and paperclips. Drill a bit into the foot of the model (or whatever part of the model is touching the base, and thick enough to be drilled into), and drill through whatever you have put ontop of the base, all the way so it comes out of the bottom. Superclue a piece of straight paperclip in the foot, stick it through the base, with a bunch of glue ON the paperclip, and also glue it on the bottom of the base (after you snip any parts of the paperclip that sticks out too much). This will create a super sturdy placing of the model! Works especially well if you have cork or wood on your base on which the model sits.
Amazing bases! Do you find gluing the models down to the uneven surface of the base a problem? And what glue do you use? I find my superglue dries white
I don't find it to be a huge problem, unless the model is posed kind of weird, for example if they got a foot standing on a rock, ill just make a base for that model so i get it the way i want. The glue I sue is either Loctite or Gorilla super glue with the precise tips!

wich one?
Thanks for sharing the formula. Found a bunch of these pigment kits on Amazon
Also, forgot to even do it, but painting the rim black (or any color you prefer) will create a cleaner finish!

I'm about to start bashing together a warband for Trench Crusade and this video has definitely pointed me down a good path for the basing, thanks!
Best mud basing video ive ever seen! Well done mate

Nice recipe!
subbed since the grimdark raven guard and you guy are definitely amazingly entertaining !
These are lovely! Nicely done
Great channel. I will definitely sub and keep watch. Love all the grimdark. Would you try doing some grimdark Xenos ?
can do! I'll put it on the list
What color pigments did you use for the epoxy UV resin to achieve that muddy look
Any chance of sharing the uv resin pigment formula?
So hyped for that Death Korps of Krieg video!
Would love to see more basing videos like this, going to be trying some of the stuff you did here
I definitely would love to do more basing videos! Life has just been busy right now, but its on the to do list!

lol I dunno why I never connected you could just place UV resin stuff int he sun but... yeah that makes sense.
I am a total newby...
How do you glue the minis on? Just superglue on the paint/wood/mud?
Thats what i do!

@@QuintonWatsonDesign thanks for the tips!
Try painting the rims for an even cleaner finish!
oh yeah...i completely forgot about doing that 😅
Merci pour la vidéo
after seeing this i want to rebase my whole army, i tried a muddy battlefield but it looks like they're standing on a pile of **** (literally)
It's pronounced the death CORE of krieg.
