Blood builds are dope but I wish we would have gotten some better drip equivalent to to goofy a** white mask

This video literally points out that the Ansbach's set is +14% dmg at all times for many blood weapons and ash of war.
The helm alone is +5% with 100% uptime, whereas the goofy White Mask is an on-bleed damage bonus, so the uptime will always be less than 100% if you aren't using seppuku.
@@drudge5268 ur out here trying to act all smart on the other guy and still being wrong. The white mask is still definitely the meta as blood procs happen very fast even without seppuku. Mathematically even if the bleed proc happened nearly halfway thru the fight, the white mask would still be better.
Furthermore Ansbach set is for bleed skills not even normal bleed attacks so calling it a 100% uptime is wrong unless ur a complete AOW spammer.
That transition from Finger Lady to Mesmer around 3:16 was 10/10
I got some nam flashbacks from the ansbach mask, he had no reason to look too much like the bloody crow of cainhurst
Interesting: some sources say that this set DOES increase Bloodflame incantations.
I find this less interesting and more typical: many "sources" do not verify things, they just regurgitate what then seen elsewhere or make assumptions. Testing is key and why Khraze should be considered the source of truth until proven otherwise.

The Guias Remembrance Thrusting Sword on blood has a nice Charged Heavy into Light true combo worth checking out.

If you put blood tax on that weapon, you’ll proc bleed in 2 hits from blood tax

@@Reyka26yea it procs bleed very quick when blood infused. I like it a lot when blood infused and then using a shield. Just normal pokes from behind the shield does so much damage. That with fingerprint with scholars shield and just white mask and blood talisman then heavy tank armor guard boost tal, non physical tal and two headed turtle with buffs and stam and opaline tears wrecks any boss you struggle with. I went faith finally and a max health prayerful strike build with a colossal hammer melts to. Get health over 3k heavy ass armor all defensive/health tals except shard of Alexander and your getting like 800 health back on every prayerful strike and you have crazy tanking and hyper armor.
been playing this build more or less and using the bosses as a health bar for yourself feels like bloodbourne, so much fun
If the enemy bleeds , i use bleeds weapons lol every time …
And i use summons / we jump everybody

go with 70 endurance, 60 strength and build all around holy resistance and endurance with armor and talismans,. Then use an heavy thrusting sword in one hand and fingerprint shield with scholar shield buff in the other. Literally you get no dmg from EVERYtHING. You just need to run away from meteor but for the rest you just hit him staying in guard with shield, if you want someone made a video for a cheese build like this, but even with just a well balanced similar build the fight become more enjoyable

2 Bloodfiend Fork Occult Seppuku build gives 108 build up for bleeding, it deserves a shoutout too
Rivers of Blood is affected by Ansbach set. The obsidian Lumina is more of a pvp weapon that allows heavy punishment on attackers.

I’m definitely gonna try blood tax on milady. I do wish the chest piece gave the entire boost alone so I can get my drip on.
Anyone else rush through a playthrough (PC) with a new char for DLC preparation but completely forgot about getting the white mask this time around? Sux you can get locked out of this.
I didn't expect to want to try bleed on this character but there are so many builds that use it.
What if went full Dex with Bloodflame rather than Arcane with Occult affinity? I assume at high levels like your build at 170+ any dual stat build will start outperforming but thinking at lower stats like the meta (125/150) a pure dex build with Keen Great Katana could still be optimal, plus can still benefit from applied buffs (like greased and incantation). Suppose then the extra arcane stats you get innately from the the armour are not contributing much to the synergy unless started a class with very low arcane state to begin with, in which case those stats qualify for Bloodflame. Just a thought for those looking to build this at meta levels
From Soft does not need to nerf bleed players, they nerf themselves with that awful fashion...

what do you mean by "you wont get her items" when you talked about leda/ansbach quest? you do get her armor and sword at the end of her quest right?
rakshasa set increases damage to all attacks, meanwhile ansbach only increases weapon skill. its really based on your playstyle
Would the blood fiend hammer be a good match? I know the white mask will buff up once blood loss procs but that hammer is great with that heavy charge

PLEASE try the sword lance from commander gaius, with blood tax and it will have 174 bleed buildup per hit and when you use blood tax it sometimes procs bleed TWICE

Elonora's Poleblade I dont think benefits this, BUT at 81 blood buildup the moveset doesnt really need it lol.

I'm using the chicken leg, because I was playing dex (dual katanas) previously, and wanted to play something, completely different (also started using it,, post nerf, so wasn't a band waggon-thing)
I would like to try out the Rivers of Blood, though, just looks like such a cool, weapon. is it only really the art that you use it for, though? I did enjoy the dual katana gameplay.
Once I get the set that boosts bleed-skills, I may end up respecing again, though. We have so many Larval Tears on a build, might as well. I'm still messing with my first character, have like 10 or 11 tears left, and probably haven't even picked them all up yet.
That's how i like to do it though. I try to collect everything on my first playthrough, and test out builds on it. Then when I know what I want to do, I will make more min maxed builds, and reset my first build to what it was intended to be (Int/Dex, in this case) it does mean while trying out other builds though, your stats are nowhere near min/maxed...
Also I only have 6 in Faith, so I haven't touched that stuff yet. I think for Faith, I'm just gonna start a whole, new character.

I am using an ocult flameberg build with sepuko. I am sad the armour gives no buffs. Not even on blood flame.
Thoughts on occult GK vs Keen or Qual GK buffed with Bloodflame Blade?
All three builds are totally viable.
Occult (14 str, 18 dex, 80 arc): 711 AR, 108 bleed
Keen (22 str, 80 dex, 10 arc): 725 AR, 55 bleed
Quality (51 str 51 dex): 730 AR, 55 bleed
Bloodflame blade adds 40 bleed per hit, so it ends up nearly identical. Of course there's the fire damage component of BfB to consider, but also the FP cost. TBH it's nearly the same so no need to overthink it.
As an aside, you could technically run 10 strength on the Occult build since you'll be two handing, but 10 str, 22 dex, 80 arc gives the same AR of 711, so it's a wash and not worth it to move points to dex. You could however throw those extra points into faith and go for 25 for Golden Vow though.
For some reason I can’t choose occult, only standard and blood. Also what should I rock in my off hand? Do I need incantations?

For the longest time i did not know that the blood multy stab ash of war restored hp. Inow i can use that insted of blasphamus blade.
Newbie here but with Blood Tax i can solo almost any boss in base game + DLC (maybe besides Malenia and Consort Radahn - not play yet)
@@myakk malenia you can use the malikath sword and spam its ash of war again and again. she cant handle the stagger, with mimic its even better. As for radhan a shield spear build with bleed prock is enough tho if u wanna go extra i suggest getting that 1 trusting sword with rot damage and stick a bleed ash of war on it and poke away, even better with mimic.

I thought the mask give you 5% instead of 3% because the set total gives a 14% boost, not just 12%
I swapped from giants crusher to blood tax milady and love it.

I see a lot of builds mention the dragon crest talisman , but why dont they equip the +2 version , is that not better or something ?

You can kill Ansbache as soon as you see him at the grace in the castle, for his set and bow but not the scythe. Good luck bow lovers 🎉
Ansbach is a 14% increase: 3% body / gloves / legs, 5% head. 3+3+3+5=14%. So yeah Rakshasa can't compare. Personally, I would never wear the (ugly) White Mask to get +10% dmg increase after bleed procs when I could wear Ansbach's helm for a 5% increase at all times. Ofc White Mask is still a bit superior, but in practice you won't have 100% uptime on the White Mask buff so it's at most a 2-3% difference.
BTW you can hit 51 poise with Ansbach set if you replace just the chest piece, leaving you with a 11% damage buff, and 51 poise. For that, the best looking chest piece is probably Banished Knight Armor. The unaltered version.
I've been running the Blood Tax Great Katana to help people beat DLC bosses, and it absolutely shreds. I use Bloodsucking Cracked Tear for an extra 20% dmg across the board, and use the health regen from Blood Tax along with Beastial Vitality (12 faith is all you need) to offset the health drain. With this setup, It's doable even as a cooperator where your flasks get cut in half but the health drain remains high.
I tried Malenia's Great Rune for a couple days, as well as Godskin Swaddling Cloth for a true vampire build, but found the Great Rune's heals to be underwhelming compared to the benefit of Radahn or Morgott's Great Runes, and that the Swaddling Cloth wasn't proccing often enough against DLC bosses to be worth giving up Millicent's Prosthesis. At least for me.

Ugly white mask is the best mask in the game. I run a strength/bleed build with max blood loss build up. While the AR is a bit lower vs my Occult build, the faster blood loss build up is just too good in so many ways because the quicker blood loss build up means boosting Attack power and finishing the enemy faster. More DPS. The power of the mask is that it stacks with the Talisman. You get more then 30% boost. Then you can use the talisman that boost your attack power after a killed enemy. Another 15% This all stacks up to over 50% AR boost. Just with 2 Talismans.
You dont need these armors, because your Attack power is already high enough. You need defense.
White masks means pain and gain
Also Ansbach armor does only work with skills. I dont use skills that often in PVE. However Ansbach set could be very interesting for bosses.
@@chaosinfernoid9008 If you assume an 80% uptime, which IMO is generous, that's a 3% damage increase over Wise Man's Mask at the cost of an incredible amount of drip.
And with all the long combos of the DLC bosses, the White Mask uptime is going to be even less than that in practice.

How are you taking so little damage wearing such light armor? I am as well using the def buffs and my scadutree lvl is 19 (max 20). Also I'm wearing very heavy armor and my damage negation is less than yours
Boiled Crab and Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman will go a long way. If this isn't enough, throw on a heavy chestpiece like Banished Knight Armor and wear the other 3 pieces of Ansbach set for a 51 poise +11% to bleed skills setup.
Also: Make sure to remove Baldachin's Blessing from your inventory or you'll have 1805 HP rather than 1900 at 60 vigor. I noticed Khraze has it in his inventory in the video.

Elden ring should be a ARPG at this point. All those builds for kill a boss who doesnt reapawn and you have to replay the game to do it once again...
My guy went for 20 more damage instead of 40 more bleed build up

FYI, Elianora's Poleblade actually does NOT count as a Blood AoW. It counts as a Dance AoW and gets boosted by Dancer Set. Ansbach's set does not boost the poleblade. Marais Executioner and Mogh Spear also don't work.

Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword and Marais Executioner's Sword are faster str+arcane weapons worth considering. If it has to have bleed, consider 2x Heavy infused Beastman's Curved Swords with Bloodflame Blade.
@@NoXQc i’m sure you know already, but the giant crusher in base game scales S in strength and it’s honestly crazy fast for being a heavy weapon, plus the charged heavy is literally lions claw

Thorny Cracked Tear is a must. The additional is your choice and IMO depends on the boss. If you're confident, Bloodsucking Cracked Tear for +20% dps. If you need to dodge a lot, Greenburst Crystal Tear for fast stamina regen. If you need damage mitigation, Opaline Hardtear.
If you have room in your build for 15 faith, you can use the Faith-knot Crystal Tear to hit 25 to use Golden Vow on bosses. I do that on some builds, but on this build specifically at RL150 I run only 12 faith (for Bestial Vitality) and use a dagger with the Golden Vow AoW. With an occult Great Katana, every point in arcane gives +3 to AR all the way up to 80 (above which you only get +1). So in this case you're leaving damage on the table not taking arcane all the way up to 80.

I have one question about all this scale with ,scale with that talk what does it matter if you have high stats? I mean I have 99 Arc 99dex 87faith 60str why does it matter on my levels? I keep following these build guides on hold the erdtree seal with the dragon communion seal but 2 hand your weapon and dragon gives you free boost blah blah blah 😂
There is another ehite mask for bleed builds in the dlc. I forgot where I found it but it does the same.
I think bloody slash should not loose so much health. It makes it completely useless fighting a boss multiplayer and you die loosing your blood before the boss is dead.
Got to be honest Rakshasha is still better. Especially for people who don’t really care about staying at lvl 150.
The games idea of making you take more damage is just to have worse stats than other armors in its class. It’s also better for poise because you need 51 poise for a breakpoint.
The last thing to mention is that Rakshasha boosts all damage not just the damage of the skills

Bleed was already OP AF when Elden Ring first came out, even when the DLC came out Bleed is still OP AF 95% of SOTE DLC weapons are all Dex weapons and bleed.

You're level 176, the stats should accommodate players who don't want to level passed 150, which is most of us - for PvP reasons.
Just max level and it's all good
well all of the weapons, that get buffed, are bad as well as the ashes of war
so i will stick to the rakshasa set because the damage increase counts for everything and even if i was crazy enough to use something like rob or reduvia, the damage increase is so trivial that it kinda makes no difference

This is fine but if I beat the game I am done with the game. I am not going to play it more with gear I get after I beat the game. If I can not get this set within the first 10 minutes by running around and picking it up off the ground, I am not interested.
