- The MonoNeon Jazz Bass V features an alder body finished in an eye-popping neon yellow urethane finish, complemented by a neon orange painted headstock and pickguard. The 22-fret one-piece roasted maple neck features a 10”-14” compound radius fingerboard and elegant white pearl block inlays. Custom-wound Fireball 5-string Bass Humbucking pickups deliver fat, punchy tone while the 18v active preamp with 3-band EQ provides flexible tone-shaping for any style of music. I love the 22 frets on this one. 22 fret basses seems to be rare with Fender for a while now. It kind of reminds me of the Victor Bailey models just with paint. MonoNeon is a heck of a talent.
I'm a punk rock type of bass player but even I know Mono deserves this without a doubt .

I do really love the tone and sounds that are coming from this monster bass. Fender definitely has been a staple for bass guitars and it's sound is still kicking in 2022. I hope to own this one!!!!

Fender, this is a Roscoe Beck without the switches! Why you've never reissued a bass that is widely accepted to be the best five string bass that you've EVER made is a complete mystery. I had one of the blue ones, and thought I moved it on because the string spacing was a bit too much for me, I've incorporated the switching options from the RBV into every bass I've had since, and my two main basses now have it.
You need to reissue the Roscoe Beck.
agreed on the RBV, but just demoed one of these and it’s not the same, other than the concept of the pickups (tho these are more modern voicing) and the 34” scale/body shape…this is active, with very different control layout
@@bassomatic64 How is it physically? It can't be too far away from the RBV, and if the pickups are tappable you'd be able to convert one pretty easily.

When you're coming from playing the guitar its awesome because the narrow string spacing of a 5-string is more what you are familiar with. You can also play funk and death metal without restringing the instrument :)
Cool to see MonoNeon get a signature model, but it was a bit odd switching between his demo, and the Fender employees very *vanilla* demo-ing and talk track. And why not show the stickers and sock?

Last time I checked he was with Status, Alembic, maybe dean and warwick. I don’t think he’ll be getting a fender signature also considering that he isn’t alive.
@@ethanpeed being alive isnt a relevant factor, he used fenders alot in his career no reason why fender hasnt done a signature model of his Frankenstein for example

Hi there. I’m hoping this reaches someone with time to help. My Fender acoustic (made in Indonesia and quite old)was damaged in flood water. It cleaned up ok. need to re-fix the nut and have bees waked the fretboard. The neck is still straight and all the tuners work but some f the laminate on the back was cracked and split with pieces missing and I’d like to repair it. I’m in a remote location with no professional assistance available so need to do this myself plus I like the guitar which was a present from my dad and will one day go to my daughter. So any guidance in bringing this back to a presentable condition is greatly appreciated. I can send pix if you have an email!
