Great actress, a great singer, but the reason he looked at her and said sorry, and she punched him, is because she’s a big, big, big animal lover, and ended up leaving the music/acting industry towards the end of her life to adopt and run a animal rescue called Best Friends. she was very well known as an animal lover, even at that time in her life.

The 1986 HBO comedy special “Rodney Dangerfield It’s Not Easy Being Me” is on TH-cam. Rodney has Sam Kinison as one of his guests and it’s hysterically funny. The classic 1986 movie “Back To School” is awesome and it’s on TH-cam. Rodney plays an old man who goes to college and Sam Kinison is one of his insane professors. Another must see is the 1983 movie “Easy Money”. Rodney plays a hard partying family man who will inherit a fortune if he can stop his bad behavior. It’s worth buying this movie just to see him insult a really obnoxious fat kid. The jokes in this movie are brutal and non-stop, you’ll want to take notes so you can use some the insults yourself on people that deserve it.
I feel like I live in some distant future, where there are adults who don't deeply know Johnny Carson and Rodney Dangerfield. As to one of the last remarks in your video, one of you said that Rodney practically plays himself in "Caddyshack". I think it's more accurate to say he practically plays Rodney Dangerfield. I doubt that Jake Cohen in person was anything like the Rodney Dangerfield we know. For example, he made wife jokes whether or not he was married. But I have to assume that all of the joke and tics and expressions were exaggerated versions of Jake Cohen. He's playing a character as much on Carson as in "Caddyshack". BTW Carson only let Dangerfield dominate an interview this way. That's part of the fun. The two of them together are performance art, a deconstruction of the talk show format. To me it highlights how artificial all talk shows are. They're always interviewing the persona, not the person.

Yes if you guys don’t know you should look at some of the comedians that started out with Rodney’s club. I mean all of them obviously had done standup before in like random little clubs across the country, but dangerfields was like a tv special too I believe. At least some of them were shown on TV I wasn’t alive at the time I can’t pretend I know the ins and outs I just watched them on TH-cam. Regardless some of the guys who performed there were Carlin, Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Jim Carrey, Andrew Dice Clay, Roseanne, Bill Hicks, Sam Kinison and Louie Anderson just to name a few.
