what a great comedian freddie prinze was he is so greatly missed even nearly 50 years after his death. i still watch chico and the man via streaming. it's just as funny as i remember. rip freddie i hope you found the peace you never found in life.
😂 Funny skit never saw this before .
crazy to think... George Foreman, Still alive... Dick Van Dyke, Still alive... Freddie Prinze, Dead 2 months later
😢
that was a great ali impression.
Freddie Prinze was a genius in his own right RIP 42 years ago today. Love in Christ...Freddie Prinze
Agreed man i grew up watching re-runs of chico and the man on sun tv when i was little...man was funny as hell.
Hello. I have almost the entire Chico and the Man series & I'm currently in talks with NBC seeking permission to post the series on TH-cam. I need support. I don't want to anger NBC by having 100s of people email them, so I thought a petition would be a better way to show that there's interest in the series. Can I count on your support to sign the petition asking NBC to allow me to post the series here? (& if it's not too much to ask, please spread the word about the petition) Thank you. Petition: chng.it/wqVKGnh5
Prinze only remembered thru his son. He couldnt handle fame
Hardly a "genius", more like a moron.
How exactly was he a genius??? lol....the man had terrible mental health issues. He was nuts. Paranoid. Egotistical. He wanted to murder people at one point. Hardly a genius. His stuff is hardly funny when you watch it now.
R.I.P Freddy ❤️🌹 gone to soon. Comic genius.
Lol, shoulda been gone sooner.
George Foreman was a good sport to do this skit.
Foreman losing to Ali might have been the best thing to happen to George Foreman. After that loss, Foreman took a deep, introspective look at the direction his life was taking, realized he wanted something different - and became in many respects, to my mind, a National Treasure.
@Ben Rounds And many of us still think he's a great man. He is still my hero; even after all the hate and racism he faced, in spite of his many contributions, and goldiggers digging up dirt long past the statutes of limitations. I can relate to his most hateful situation because l too endured/am enduring racism due to jealousy. If the judicial system were to open up cases of unfair lynchings and kangaroo courts in recent history, it could prove overwhelming. At times l am outraged when l think about it.
The things George had to do to pay the bills.
He fortunately did get to redeem himself.
Thanks for the memories Champ.
He was gone just about 2 months after this. :(
Freddie was the best , clean comedy , if he had lived he would have been the greatest ,, god bless Chico and the man .
I was a teen and a big fan when Freddie passed. I learned life isn’t perfect after all.
Loved Freddy. He, and Ali were good friends, and he use to spar with him. His son said he framed a bloody towel when he bloodied Ali with a left. Ali, another childhood hero of mine.

@@chicoandtheman7599 I am with you
@@armandocervantes6291 Thank you for your support but I talked to one of the head execs over at Warner Bros. (who now own the rights to Chico & the Man) & they turned me down. 😔 Thanks again.
@@chicoandtheman7599 They Better play Re-runs on Televsion or at least put them on a streaming platforms
@@armandocervantes6291 Nope. There are no plans or interest in streaming & the show has been out of TV syndication for over a decade. (& there's zero chance of a DVD/BlueRay boxset release) Sadly It's just one of those shows that will forever be lost to history. And for whatever it's worth, the executive at Warner Brother's was very polite. She's a very powerful & high up exec & she didn't even have to reply to my email. But she did & that+ was nice of her. I just wish she would've gave me permission to post some Chico videos. I don't understand what it could hurt. There is NO money to be made off the series. It's a dead series. Anyway, you can always buy the crappy (quality) DVD boxset like I did, for $25. The transfer quality is crap, the episodes are not in order, and the commercials aren't edited out, but I guess it's better than nothing. (barely) The 5 episode "TV Favorites" from Warner Bros. is excellent. A+ quality.
Freddie’s Ali impression is VERY funny!! Thanks 4 postin this classic clip from a gifted comic.

Chico and the Man of course. To be honest, we don’t need the entire series. We just need only the episodes featuring Prinze. He did 39 shows i think. Once he passed and they kept it goin, the show sucked.
@@ghanasoul Yea, maybe I'll just post those episodes, assuming NBC gives me permission. (you know how big media corporations are) I researched & the show hasn't been in TV syndication in more than a decade, it's never been officially released on VHS, DVD, or BlueRay, and it's not available via any streaming service. (I got an unofficial DVD copy of the series, online, for $25) I've been emailing every programming director, marketing & PR executive at NBC (can't find email for NBC's legal dept.) & asking if they'll give me permission. (via email, so I can show TH-cam, if/when they give me a take down notice for copyright infringement) I really hope NBC does. They have nothing to lose & can gain only appreciation & goodwill if they grant me permission to post the episodes. (and would make a lot of Chico fans, very happy) If I can't get permission, I might just post them anyway & just see what happens. I see people have the entire "The Rifleman" series here, and it hasn't been taken down. I really wish I could get just 100 signatures on my petition. I think it might help a little. Anyway, thanks for your reply. Stay safe. :)
Aww, 2 funny! Miss u Freddie. ❤️

Who knows how Freddie's life and career would have developed had he not taken his own life. Always what could have been. He still makes a lasting impression.
Anyone notice Billy who later developed the character Super Dave Osborne
Undoubtedly Freddie would have gone on to achieve in the late 70s what Eddie Murphy would achieve in the mid 80s & maybe more. Freddie was destined for world wide fame & popularity.
Yes, Bob Einstein !!
@@rogerrambo4172 Freddie was Eddie's sacrifice to fame. Same voice and joke delivery. Eddie is a rip off of Freddie
This timeline is i am just a baby, and i knew Freddie prince only in video clippings.. now i know how good he is really.. gone too soon
“Rocky” had either just come out or was about to come out. I wonder if Freddie ever got a chance to see it. R.I.P. Freddie Prinze.
I was in 7th grade 1977 when ' Rockey ' first came out.
Super Dave on the Mic
wow to have been around back then, must have been great during the fun times...glad we still have clips!
First time watching this😂great☝️
Thank you... #JimmyDeen 😐 ...we remember Freddie well...he could "move"...and was deceptively well-conditioned.
Lol. Damn I miss Freddie
Isn’t that announcer with Dick Van Dyke “Super Dave” Osborne?
That's him. You saw him also in Oceans 13. Linus's dad.
Omg so Legendary 😭😭😭😭 we miss u freddy he put up a great fight 🥊😎💯( he left us too soon 💔😭) But at least he with God he is in his home heaven 😢🙏
Nicely said🙋
He got knocked out and became Muhammad Ali 🤣🤣🤣
This was great!! I remember watching Chico And The Man as a kid.

amazing comedy talent
Two legends!!!!
So funny! 😂😂
Super Dave Osborne Bob Einstein
Hey that's super dave.
This was approximately 2 months before Freddie died
About 2 months after this was aired Freddie Prinze was knocked down by a self-inflicted wound, and this time he never got back up. Unfortunately he was able to make millions laugh, but he had a hard time making himself laugh.
😢
I love George and Freddie in this skit. This made me really smile
Respect to Jack Albertson. Foreman is such a good sport.
❤❤😢
I'll tell you what, that was a real right hand ... look at Freddie Prinze's head at 4:14 and how it reacts to his punch. It was a flush landing for a skit
I remember seeing this live when it was first on
Man. I can't believe Foreman almost lost that fight !
Lol it’s a skit or between them they had a playwright of how it would go down between them, you can tell that’s not reall full force fighting. Just for entertainment, and he was funny in the end.
@@Rebekah.MaeRobertsduh😂
Love this .never had seen this one before
George Foreman still looks the same!
Fantastic upload! Thanks! 😄👍
Good sport George foreman
Classic
holy shit super dave lol .. sounds the same looks the same .. he just got older and voice got a little more gravelly lol
Billy Parker = Super Dave Osborne
that's super dave osborne...crazy
Is that Super Dave? lol
can you post the full video of Richard talking about freddie plz
Funkhouser ❤️
They just showed how boxing is done in real life lol. Fighters taking dives
My goodness, he was so lean here. Too little food and too much self medicating. Throw in lack of sleep.
👍🏾😢
All great people, and don't forget Super Dave, was on the Smothers Brothers, and Curb your Enthusiasm before his passing😢
Rumor has it, that Freddie was paid to take a fall 😅
But it was still just as good as Hearns vs Hagler 😂
There's the rope a dope
2:40 - The ring announcer looks & sounds like John Wheeler, who appeared on shows like THE BRADY BUNCH & HAPPY DAYS.
More like Chico Balboa.
😂
Super Dave Osbourne!!
Marty Funkhauser!
Prinze looks so skinny.
Nah I'm pretty sure this fight is fixed lol
Now I know where his son got a nice body from.
😉😜
His mother wasn't too shabby looking either
Foreman throwing a fight. Lol
Freddie should have win the fight. He was good. lt was funny.
Albert Brooks’ brother.
The announcer is Funkhauser!
6:34 lol why'd you have to kill yourself freddie
Why were they calling him Chico and not his actual name? They didn't have to refer to him as his characters name to do the bit....
It was promoting the show!
🤼♂️🥊
When knocked out chess player Brian Fisher lol
Too bad CHICO was to high on COKE to realize the GUN WAS LOADED!
U got that correct !! A joke and coke turned deadly !!! But he is not the first and won’t be the last
Isn't the announcer super dave osborne?
lol
Aww.so full of life..sad
I wonder what he talked about with he’s manager before shooting himself in the head 🤔
Foreman looks so small here
Freddie wasn't all that? 💥💀
why would talented people like Marvin Gaye and Freddie lost their cool over the phone merely arguing with female on the phone.
Freddie didn’t seemed to thrilled to be there honestly. Especially afterwards during his defeat speech. I could imagine he didn’t like being called just Chico since no one even said Freddie
He killed himself 8 weeks later. I can understand why. This is awful
I bet he didn’t like repeatedly being referred as “Chico” instead of his real life name. Ik that’s his characters name, but apparently he hated the name off screen since it does mean little boy in Spanish
Prinze, all coked up. Sad
"Super" Dave Osborne isn't funny here, and he never improved.
is that Super Dave Osbourne?
