Watching him here I realize that his material or delivery has stood the test of time. It's not dated and it's still hilarious. He was young, brilliant and gone too soon.
Thank you for posting this. I loved Freddie Prinze! I cried when he died. Such a waste! His CD "Looking Good" is marvelous, for any of you who want to listen to his great humor again and again.
I was always a huge fan of his son, but I had never heard any of his material before. His comedy is actually very funny and interesting. I wish he was still here making people laugh. Maybe then I would have known about him sooner. He's officially one of my favorite comedians now, even if it's too late.
This guy was great. I remember watching this as a kid on HBO and it was hysterical then as it is now. This man should not have taken his life. He was too good to leave so soon. Freddie we miss you. You were great!
This dude was a reclusive shy kid and apparently suffered from manic depression at an early age and talked about suicide constantly...it's fucking weird how charismatic, happy and confident he is here...as with many comedians...
Still laugh, to this day...love the writers, if " chico and the man ", so far ahead of their time ..can watch an episode; the way they wrote it, it still applies, to this day ...
When he played on Chiko and the man I didnt really watch the show. I watched him. Love that dark hair and gosh that open shirt. That is Sexy. He funny too. lmao
wow that last joke he did about nixion was so good i thought it was his closing but it seems like it goes on! mark of a really good comedian when you go use show-stopping jokes in the middle of his set.
@ 2:51 Freddie is a damn fool! lmao!!! I just caught on that he mentioned the "Mustang Ranch"...Wow! He was brave and bold. I wonder if that's where he REALLY met a certain person, then reformed her. lol
I recall seeing him do an outstanding impression of Elvis Presley once. Don't recall the context, but it must have been a TV show. His basic take was to cut the crap and get right to Elvis, the hounded, desperate drug addicted man. Anyone ever see that performance?
I have his comedy album, LOOKING GOOD, and I've been digging the old eps of Chico and The Man. Man, I really miss him. I had such a crush on him when I was little. I wore my Chico sweatshirt everywhere. I grew up in his neighborhood in Washington Heights, and didn't know this until after he got famous. We miss you, Freddie. :o(
Freddie was such a natural comedian, making it look easy.

I cannot believe this man was only 21, such a talent.
@Mia. Agree. Such mature yet hilarious delivery. 🤞🙏💻🙏🤣😊
Unbelievable loss. Would've been a fifty year show biz guy. R.i.p. Freddie prince !! 🗽🗽🚕🙏👍💯🇺🇸
What a charismatic young man. So natural and funny.

What was his beef with Bill cosby
Gee, what made you think that?
Freddie's issues with drugs weere with cocaine, luuds and a bit of weed.
