There must be something I'm missing because I cannot respect parents who abandoned their children in another country (unless their lives were in jeopardy, which is not the case in Korea). Valuing money over anything else strikes me as strange and kind of deranged. If the parents thought it was so much better in the US than in Korea, why wouldn't they move too? It's cruel to expect an 11-year-old to make that cultural adjustment alone. Looking at it another way, if Korea is so awful that you have to get your children out of there (and I don't think it is), why should people embrace this brand ("Koreans are FUN!")? It's either one or the other; doesn't work both ways.
@Lou Sialb I think your missing the point😅 most of the time Korean immigrants are poor. And because that the parents probably wanted to give child better opportunity since america is the best place.
Mark wins the deals because he gives the most reasonable offers while Kevin offers deals that only benefit him and doesn't really care if the business even survives as long as he gets his return on investment with the high interests.
In the early days their food trucks were notorious for selling out. I always knew once they started opening open brick and mortar locations they were going to do big things. Great guys I’m happy for them.

The millionaire sharks were all thinking about themselves. The Billionaire was thinking about the actual product, the people behind it & how it would work as a team venture.
It is easy for people both outside the US as well as within to criticize and see the flaws in it’s governing, society and open market. But sometimes you get to see it working. The opportunities it offers and the meritorious rewards it gives to those willing to put everything in to achieve something great. I think the sharks and everyone picked up on that resulting in a respectful, good vibed, emotional pitch.

Cupbop is so good! I’m happy for them didn’t realize it wasn’t already a massive chain
Same ! I knew they were doing well but not THIS well lol I always used to eat at their food trucks when I worked at Vivint 🤣 In 2015
I need this in my town! Love the brand, love these guys, food looks great, just a great deal all around
Cool.
Mark is always on point.
Smart and amazing person.
We all can learn something from Mark.
I’ve meet them on their first food truck in Utah 8 years ago, that’s crazy! I had no idea they were on the show!
In the early days their food trucks were notorious for selling out. I always knew once they started opening open brick and mortar locations they were going to do big things. Great guys I’m happy for them.
Update: Cupbop annual revenue is 40M. Company is worth 200M.
6:43 Robert now can feel the HEATTTTTTTT
The thing that people who are not good at school make good business owners tells more about how stupid the system we have is and much less about the quality of schooling.
CupBop has been my favorite food place ever since they were still only a food truck
Mark: “it’s hot it’s hot 🥵 “
He’s literally wheezing 😂
Absolutely LOVE Cupbop!!! Everytime their truck would pull up to the food truck park I couldn't pass it up.
I think I’ve had this before, it’s so cool to see products I have eaten/used before appearing in shark tank.
and now Cupbop is everywhere, and one of my favorite places to eat! awesome to see a familiar business on shark tank!
I wish them the best! Incredible stories and as an immigrant myself. Lots to live up to. Not for others but for yourself! Living up to your best potential.
Man it must have been tough for his parents to leave him and brother in another country with other people. I don’t know if I could do that. I know it was to help them, but I know that had to hurt unbelievably bad. Especially for mom.
I absolutely love their cup bop presentation. I love watching their yt shorts.
I love their life stories of the 2 cup bop owners.
I used to eat here when they were just a food truck in Sugarhouse. Very cool to see how things have grown! Awesome food.
Nobody care
@@Karonclip Well actually, a little french right here is watching this video and the vibe from that comment brought good energy to me. Start spreading love around you man by making encouraging and kind comments as that guy did, it’s not too late. Everything is influence 😉
@@Karonclip Just like your dad who left to get the milk?
The millionaire sharks were all thinking about themselves. The Billionaire was thinking about the actual product, the people behind it & how it would work as a team venture.
Fun fact: a few days later after this episode aired, Barbara chased down one of the yellow trucks on foot to tell them she was still out
I wish nothing but the best for these guys!
Barbara : i'll offer you 1mil. for 30%
Robert : 5mil. for 28%
Barbara : Oh! I can counter that! i'll give you 5mil. too! but for 150% 🤣🤣🤣
It is easy for people both outside the US as well as within to criticize and see the flaws in it’s governing, society and open market. But sometimes you get to see it working. The opportunities it offers and the meritorious rewards it gives to those willing to put everything in to achieve something great.
I think the sharks and everyone picked up on that resulting in a respectful, good vibed, emotional pitch.
Their business strategy was lit 💪💪, Korean bbq is everyone's favourite, the amount of different incrediants and flavours and side edibles they add is INSANE 💪💪🥵🥵
Cap
It's amazing how the people who live here don't understand how good they have it here. Well said mark. You hear that people????
I was waiting for you to upload this episode for so long
These guys made me cry of happiness
Mark just valued this company at $20 million
Will be worth more soon
They opened 9 more stores after the show and 100 locations in Indonesia
Barbara: I love your product. I think you're fantastic, your business is phenomenal, and your valuation is perfect. I've been waiting for years for someone like you to come into the tank; in fact, I dare say you are the single greatest entrepreneur we've ever seen, with the greatest business we've ever seen. This product will change hundreds of millions of lives for the better, and generate hundreds of billions in revenue. I think you're beautiful, and I love you. For those reasons, I'm out.
best pitch ever
Thank you for not ruining the entire video in the title, it was a much better video for it!
It’s always nice to see people who are grateful for this wonderful country. We sometimes forget how good we have it. Anyone willing to work hard, can find success here.
EXACTLY
Hear, hear!
I love the vibe of these business owners. Would love to try their food
land of opportunity only works with sheer hard work and dedication - i think that message sometimes gets missed
an exciting pitch and wonderful episode to watch - wish very good luck
I’m so happy these guys got a deal! I love to see people who love this country do great in this country!
👍
I don’t know why but I have a strong feeling this company gonna turn into something big i live in Utah I’m have to go check it out and see how it is
Update us hahaha
Tell us if you liked it
Seriously!!! I sure hope so ! I remember when they were just a little food truck lol they didn’t even have that many of them this was back in 2015
Mark made over 10x his money within 2 years, they went from a 18M evaluation to a 200M+ net worth, love to see it.
I'm SO glad these POC got Mark!!! ❤❤❤ I wish them NOTHING BUT SUCCESS
Poc? Did you just call them people of color? Lol what the hell is wrong with you? You thinking about race, not numbers, the food, the business, the sharks, their dances, nope, only thing on your mind is race. Ridiculous lol 😂
What does that have to do with anything?
it was either mark or barb & lori as a team so i think they made a good choice with mark. the less to split the better.
This is the reason why Mark is close with Barbara and other sharks look up to her. Barbara has sharp instinct which she knows what business gonna be big just by looking from the person and Cupbob definitely a hit even in Asia. Not always but 80% works when she believes it.
Edit : Barbara failed to judge Chill Soda on early season because she felt in love with the person not their personality or business. Watch the video to understand what i mean.
In some industries, easpecially food, there is a very high luck factor. So owning 50% of something that is running crazy good is better than 50% of somethint thats not running.
You’re joking, right?
She made a fake, throwaway offer. Embarrassing
Barbara is my favorite
I'm living in Asia and never seen their stuff, but glad they are doing well. The 2 guys are just loveable people.
"sharp instict" my a**. She offered $1m for 30% gfto.
