this is an important video. My adult son went through a gut wrenching trauma with a surprise divorce and loss of job. He developed severe colitis/Crohns disease - they never could decide. I traveled to his state and moved in with him. They wanted to remove his rectum and put him on immuno-suppressive drugs. We asked the surgeon and GI physician to give us 3 months. I taught him about presence, breathing, affirmations, and being safe (back then I didn't use that term). We improved his diet and supplements, laughed, shared, cooked healthy, and spent a month together. When I went home, I left a grease board in the kitchen with a list of diet recommendations and affirmations. He complied 100% and in less than 6 months, he was in remission and has been ever since. It's probably 12 years now. I'm certain this was TMS brought on by his tremendous fear/anger. He's happily remarried now and mega successful!!! Dan, thank you so much for these daily videos. They mean so much to so many.
Can you please share what those diet/supplement recommendations were? I agree - the brain gut axis is connected and I am going through digestive issues but surprisingly the back pain dissipated. So the nervous system is scanning. These daily videos and trying to walk a more calm pathway is key. Thanks so much @jano72558
I really applaud you for getting in there and helping your son managing his situation and helping him heal. In your post you mentioned you asked the dr’s to give you three months. I do not take this attitude with dr’s. They work for me. I’m not asking them for anything other than a recommendation. I make the decision. I just put this out there because I’ve learned the hard way that we give dr’s waaayyyyy too much power. They don’t know nearly as much as they think they do.
Ive known people who had severe gut diseases like chrones and colitis. They fully healed when they addressed their emotional issues. Now they are eating whatever they like and never worrying about where the bathroom is. I think all these modern diseases, not poisoning or infection, is emotional based.
Can I please talk to you about this? Do you think eliminating stress can heal the gut in cases of crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and stop meds completely?
I am living proof that digestive issues are a TMS/PDP issue. When I feel relaxed and safe, no issues. When I get worked up, stressed, disconnected from my feelings, the digestive symptoms return, but now more briefly since I’ve been implementing the techniques. I feel bad for people who are still trying to identify a particular food that causes the drama. I went down that path for years. Years! Total waste of time…for me at least.
Also, it’s interesting that people get help from supplements. I tried that for years. I’d initially experience some gentle alleviation of symptoms and then a full blown return of them. The efficacy of the supplements or diet wore off over time. Very quickly in some cases. Because I wasn’t dealing with the root issue, the brain, the psyche. I wasn’t comforting myself. Providing safety.
@@CherryLane-si1yj I have the exact same experience with diets and supplements. It will work for a few weeks and then not at all. I found relief with these symptomatic treatments for 2 years, rotating between different approaches. But I think the main block comes from the nervous system, i.e the brain. Thanks for sharing your story !
It absolutely makes sense. No dis-ease within the body is bourne out of calm, peace and ease. The gut is our second brain.. so surely it works like the first brain and if we don't let either of them know we are safe, they don't work correctly. Total sense to me. Thanks Dan, please keep these seemingly unrelated posts coming ❤
Dan is absolutley correct. I had diarrhea for 4 years. The more worried the worst it got I was pooing 6 times a day. Last March I pulled thr trigger and went to a GI Doctor and got s colonoscopy and everything was normal..Guesd what I felt SAFE again and relieved and the symptons abated within a month. My GI doctor also talked to me about the brain and gut connection..The more you worry the more it will.persist..No diet NOTHING helped until I stopped freaking out. I also had digetive issues where I could not digest food. It just got stuck in stomach and that all went away. The stomach and bowels are heavily affected with stress.
Dan, thank you sooooo much for these videos. I have had IBS and back pain for decades (I am 75 years old now so they tell me everything is due to OLD AGE! I think that is BS!). Been to every doctor etc. Had every test, done every procedure and been on every diet. I found Dr. Sarno, Howard Schubiner and you about the same time a few weeks ago. I am finding relief now at times. I have to make myself relax and keep reminding myself that I am not broken. Please keep up the videos. They are wonderful
I too have IBS and back pain. Going on 30 years. I am 71 years old. I have to convince myself that it's not just old age! Hard to do but I'm gonna try.😊
Exactly. I have IBS. There's no inflammation, nothing physically wrong with the gut or microbiome. It's only bad when my fibro flares up - which you are helping tremendously with (not flaring me up! :)@@PainFreeYou
I had a crazy unset of ibs, 12years ago..a doctor who wanted to treat my muscular symptoms and headaches sent me to a dietitian.. she told me my pain was curable with a very restricted diet, I had to follow for 3 months.. nothing changed so perfect me kept doing that for another 3 months and my husband did it too to support me. He didn’t do it as strict.. After 6 months of no results, I was allowed to eat my previous diet.. I started ibs, severe pain and bloated .. so then they said, ok you have a new diagnosis , on top of fibromyalgia. Result 12 years of fear of foods and very restricted diet.. my husband struggled too to eat normal again.. Good news is that since a couple of weeks, I expand my food and eat with a calm trustful mindset.. and I experience days without crisis in my intestines! So yes, ibs is Tms!! Thanks Dan! Great video! Have a wonderful Wednesday ❤you and everyone..🌻
Thank you for sharing your experience. Amazing how much doctors can lead us off course. Thrilled you are back on track. Amazing what a calm and trustful mindset will do.
I relate to your story...and I am reintroducing & trusting more foods into my diet...although I am vegan but for the animals not for dietary reasons!! Docs told my mom I had celiac disease as a toddler/child. Nothing stayed in my system. Looking back, it was TMS that I had - even as a young child. My mother was a nervous, fearful, people pleasing, anxious young woman - there is no doubt in my mind that I absorbed all of her fears as a young child - TMS. From the age of 7/8 to about 11/12, I had a routine of having to go to the bathroom every Sunday for an hour plus to get through ‘routine’ gut pain and diarrhea. Like clockwork. It’s amazing to look back now (at 53) and realize that it was TMS!
So sorry you had to experience that as a young child.. it’s a gift that we finally can connect all these puzzle 🧩 pieces and create our own healthy happy life- puzzle!Take care Nicole!☘️☘️☘️
I'm so happy you have talked about this. Pain is just not mechanical back pain etc. I do believe the gut and brain are so entwined. I have massive problems with gut issues...constant nausea, acid reflux, ibs symptoms. I do have a hiatal hernia...some people can carry on with digestive probs but they stop me in my tracks. I think this is the fear element. I suffer panic attacks and high anxiety. I just can't seem to eliminate the fear . I tell myself I'm safe etc no danger but my subconscious won't take it 😢
@@villaineramatriarchy I understand and I'm sorry you had that experience. What you proved to yourself is that teaching your brain you are safe has done wonders for you. Bravo.
I feel like you’re describing me! 😢it’s hard to persuade your brain you’re safe, when you still have doubt and not totally sure if you are safe or if it’s something serious!
Definitely it is TMS. I had IBS C, chronic constipation (10+ years) and other crazy gut and nerve related pains. All of them healed. So I had to take some supplements like digestive enzymes and eat fiber rich food while training the brain again and again that there is nothing wrong with you. Interestingly I had a big keloid on my chest which also became calm, no irritation any more and reduced the size. For other in the same journey, it seems tough to come out of this loop of fight and flight responses but it is not impossible. Initially you have to give more time to train the mind in meditation and breahing exercises besides takkng the supplements. I weaned of the medication slowly and then some habit forming supplements. Slowly you will build the resilience and learn to stay calm and eventually things will be past. Now i can eat anything but i choose to eat balanced.
I'm in another program recovering from 'CFS.' Big fear of movement because I equated movement with fatigue. After challenging myself to step up my walking I got a week of IBS symptoms. I don't have IBS and have had no digestive issues though this whole thing. The symptoms went away after I worked out it could be my nervous system and responded well. Scared brain can definitely affect your gut.
I know how anxiety causes gas. Anxiety causes hyperventilation or being unable to relax muscles. Hyperventilation causes gas. The gas comes out in gas and bloating.
It’s so uncomfortable - the gas pain! I’m so excited to think that there’s nothing wrong with my gut - it’s just a relaxation issue. Mindset change. Simple, but not easy, as Dan says. Nonetheless, I’m encouraged to think that my gut has the ability to exist without being twisted up in knots all the time. Like, it can just do it’s thing: digest!
Been struggling with the same thing! So much gas even after a sip of water. Thinking it’s also a stress and mind situation because before my issues started strongly I was chronically stressed for a good 6 months. Before that I had issues but it would be once in a while.
I agree with this to a large extent...stress and the autonomic nervous system/TMS/PDP play a huge role in this and could me the main cause in a lot of people. But I also believe cleaning up our lives...the foods we eat, the toxins we consume etc can help a lot (plus its just good practice for general health right!!)....taking care of our bodies reduces the stress too so it compliments the mindset work...be kind to your body in all the ways and it will serve you well ❤

This makes tremendous sense, especially when you think about the gut-brain axis. They are intrinsically linked. COVID gave me long COVID, which gave me fatigue, neuropathy, dysautonomia, POTS, and chronic constipation, which I am still dealing with. I am now very focused on getting my mind calm and safe as you discuss, while also shopping the perimeter of the grocery store as you mentioned in a comment above (below? lol). I 100% believe I can do this. So glad I found you (on Raelan Agle’s channel).
Amy your resume is similar to mine. Covid in Jan 2022. Created tremendous fear. I was never very sick. Then in april may i began fatigue headaches and kept my numb feet that started during covid. I never had POTS. On yesterday’s zoom call I received great insight and reassurance from Dan & 3 others on the call. We were triggered by fear. My last symptom is feet. Goes away at night. Then builds as day progresses. Best to you. Join our zoom!

So needed to hear this. Had severe IBS that still shows itself after an anxiety episode. On the whole my guts are very healthy. Have had colonoscopy because of cancer family history. Last one showed diverticulitis but consultant says it's a normal wear thing for most people my age and that eating seeds is now ok, previous colonoscopy I was told to cut them out. Now my sleep is so broken because I'm waking parched then drinking water then need the loo. Thought it was acid reflux originally, I know it's not. Then I thought allergies. Got rid of toothpaste containing SLS or fluoride as they can cause dry mouth. I then ruled out diabetes although anxiety makes me crave sugary snack. I don't eat anything sweet because I develop mouth ulcers within an half an hour! I'm now going to treat it as PDP even if it's happening whilst I'm asleep. Thank you so much. Just writing this has caused dry mouth 🙄
@@thanksagainfortheteavery interesting because I have issues with any type of fatty food. Just started eating salmon, cos of osteoporosis and if I take along with vitamin D I have gut cramps.
I can speak to this first hand. I was diagnosed with UC seven years ago. IBD, not IBS. But it started during a very stressful time. I've tried tons of meds that never worked. I've been off of them for years and I have minimal bathroom issues. That's not to say I don't still have UC but I don't obsess over it. I believe I will reverse this with time. But like with anything else, having a no-freak-out approach is always a good response.
@@carla6871 that's tough in a way because we're all different. I developed chronic back pain about a year after UC. My back became my priority so I paid less attention to my UC. But generally I was mindful of certain foods that caused issues, ate more fruits and veggies and protein. Less processed stuff. Did some fasting. Hope that helps a bit
From my experience my digestive symptoms when they come up are tms, I cause them with stress. Then I get stressed about them and if I eat crap for a long period due to stress, and I know that when my life is balanced I don't have those issues. I would say to anyone with any digestive issues really look into your life and how much stress you're under
I had chronic C for 20 years. Finally broke free after changing my diet. But I noticed that the symptoms were much worse under stress. Everyone is different, don’t give up. My holy grail was beans and greens.
Thank you so much for this! I have SIBO, and leaky guy. I desperately want to get off my 10 supplements - so expensive! Can you achieve complete healing and independence from supplements and be able to eat again? I'd love to hear someone's healing story. I'm looking through your videos.
@extradextrose thank you! I'm glad to hear you've arrived at a place you're happy with. I'm there as well! I ditched my diet and my supplements. So thankful!
@@havasmama05hi! I’m dealing with a lot of digestive issue currently and am thinking it’s heavily correlated with my mental being and fight and flight response! Also tired of paying for these expensive supplements. If you don’t mind can you share some of the things you did to fix this?

I was diagnosed with visceral hypersensitivity in stomach which causes pain. My GI doctor is a big proponent of brain/ gut connection. I've had multiple tests for years, nothing structurally wrong. There is also a psychiatrist in my GI practice who specializes in working with GI patients. His diagnosis is somatic disorder. I've recently discovered your videos and I know what you are teaching works because I have used same techniques to be free from anxiety
What treatments have they provided for this and how would one go about getting care for this type of condition? I hope you have noticed some progress and improvement of symptoms for yourself. Thank you
yes this is so good it's vibrations of fear not about the body but the mind thoughts emotions that the body has projected unto it i'm trusting i am in good hands as opposed to trying to control and everything is working weller and better Mikayla
Dan, great point on treating the symptoms vs the really treating the cause. Thank you so much for this video as you see from all the great comments from the community!

I will have a random back discomfort here and there but I no longer react to it with fear. Interesting how once the back pain was mostly gone, digestive issues show up. I definitely believe in a correlation here
Same I also had upper back pain for years and solved it with tms work and I also then started with digestive issues afterwards, I been stuck with it for a couple of months now.

Great topic Dan!!! This is my question all the time cuz it doesn’t always feel like it belong to the TMS realm. I tend to have a lot of digestive issue, currently dealing with that and kidney stones. And noticed how fearful I feel inside. Been hard to implement TMS/ PDS that u teach. 😢 Thankyou for your videos.
I think my digestive symptom is related to my fear of food. I lost a bunch of weight years ago and go to the gym, so im afraid to eat more than my daily calories. I always say things like, "Oh no, i can't that because i dont have room or, " that's got a lot of calories in it."
Well, there are two sides to this. I was diagnosed with IBS at age 24 and lived with the symptoms for 24 years, in which I got the added diagnosis lactose intolerant. Then at 46, symptoms worsened. I thought it was mental, my brain stressing and panicking. At 49, diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian cancer. Those symptoms are very much the same as IBS. Now I am recovered from the cancer. How can I trust that IBS-like symptoms are TMS/PDP, when I am told to look out for these symptoms as a sign of cancer recurrence?
With a previous cancer experience, it is very understandable to be on high alert. My take is this. You have had IBS symptoms your entire adult life. You had them 20 years before your cancer diagnosis. It is VERY likely that they were TMS / perceived danger symptoms all along caused by a suppressed digestive system. In my opinion, I don't see the downside to teaching your brain you are safe and get out of the fight or flight - especially regarding digestion. th-cam.com/video/g5xWR6eBlb8/w-d-xo.html
Eating well is always a good idea. Cut the carbs, sugars and processed foods. Sometimes it's more of what we don't eat than what we do. Shop the perimiter of the grocery store. Organic produce, meats, fish, maybe some dairy. The middle isles are all processed junk.

Excellent! Can you please talk about respiratory allergies? I have rhinitis since I was a toddler. Trying to apply the mindbody concepts for it as well. I would love to hear your opinion about it, since you mentioned allergies and autoimmune issues in the video. Thanks!
When in the stress response / fight or flight - the immune system is suppressed and we can be more sensitive to allergens. As we employ the concepts of teaching the brain we are safe - particularly about the symptoms of allergies, the immune system can respond and be less reactive to the allergens.
We will always have an immune response to allergens. Getting our system to be normal instead of hyper reactive is a big benefit. Is that a cure? Very subjective. Many have reported their allergies to be MUCH better by doing this work. @@DeboraBettiol

I have had gut issues for the last 5 years. Mostly bloating pain when laying down. I have had every gastrointestinal test and they found nothing physical. @PainFreeYou thank you, I was under the assumption that I had to determine what caused the long-term cumulative fear cycle in order to come to terms with it. Watching your two linked videos definitely changed that perspective. I have nothing to fear except fear itself! Thank you for taking the time to help me, I appreciate it more than you know!!!
So glad you talked about this. I have often found it hard to apply digestive issues to TMS so this helps. A question I have - the symptoms don't get better for me if I'm on a trip or out or distracted etc. They get worse. Possibly because i havent been able to do my stretches when im preoccupied - One of the symptoms is chronic burping and i need to keep doing stretches throughout the day to get them out. If I don't, it just builds up severely and leads to pain, difficulty breathing, cramps, diarrhoea etc. It's very hard to relax when I need to do such constant management. What are your thoughts on the fact that it worsens when I'm busy/happy/on trips etc?
Really appreciate your videos, going through some gut issues this past few weeks, came on slowly, then the more i seemed to focus on it the more it seemed to intensify. Bloating is the worst part - super bloating. Im trying to do intermittent fasting to help but can you really cure gut issues - this way no medical intervention?
What I am saying is that being in the stress response affects both the digestive and immune system which can allow something like UC to occur. By teaching the brain we are safe and getting out of the stress response (fight or flight) more often, we optimize the body's ability to heal. It's not a guarantee, but it can help. I have also heard many are benefitting by a carnivore only diet. This video explains: th-cam.com/video/P60Ce95078w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aj-kkEexfEPdFkHn
Hi Dan, you're great! I desperately need help. I have mild gastritis found by endoscopy and a sore and red throat. Can it be TMS even if there is gastritis and red throat? Can it be TMS even if there is damage and signs? Thanks so much😊
I agree if you’re constipated enough you can get diverticulitis. I’ve never had it but I’ve had constipation since a baby I never even mentioned that it was one of my issues because I’ve had it so long. I have tips and tricks but I’m not that normal person that can eat whatever they want and not take supplements. Or if I could get rid of that and my TN I’d be one happy girl
Hi Dan, I recently got into running and there's this weird 'medical' term called runner's stomach which basically implies that post running can cause digestive problems in some runners. For the longest time I was scared to try out running and I finally overcame that fear by telling myself any pain afterward is not because smth's wrong with me but rather TMS doing it's thing again. Would you consider digestive issues after any workout/exercise as part of perceived danger pain/TMS too?
If you eat a huge meal and go running, that may be legitimately not comfortable. But if the pain is severe, that is likely fear and perceived danger causing the intensity. Try not to fear. Running is a healthy endeavor.
It certainly can. When in the fight or flight response, the immune system can be suppressed. So that can possibly allow acne to occur. Not saying that's all there is to it, but there is zero downside to this approach. It can only help. th-cam.com/video/g5xWR6eBlb8/w-d-xo.html
I don't focus on body parts. I focus on teaching the brain we are safe overall and the brain will take care of the rest. DansFastStart.com lays out my overall take on what's going on and what to do about it.
All sorts of bodily functions can become unbalanced when in the state of chronic fight or flight. I'm not sure what you have going on with those two organs, but there is no downside to the approach I take. It can only help. Of course, rule out anything significant medically with your doctors.
@@PainFreeYou I appreciate the reply. I haven’t been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis, but I know doctors and most people say that in particular can’t be cured or healed. I wonder if the TMS/PDP approach could in fact heal chronic pancreatitis.
@@IndialienJones Getting out of chronic fight or flight affects the whole system. It is not organ specific. A brain that is terrified doesn't work the body well. A brain that feels safe will allow the body to heal. Self diagnosis is not a great idea as it only creates the perception that you are sick or broken. Symptoms are not proof of disease. And doctors often don't realize the body's ability to heal with this kind of work. Watch tomorrows video on "If you think you have XYZ, you will not get better". This video makes a great case against self diagnosis.

Quick story of mine..had a real bad experience st dentist office had to return again in 2 weeks. Those 2 weeks I had alot of ibs .. and focusing on it was the worst . If wake up to the bathroom and whatever I ate ..again to bathroom. Anyway I went to the dentist again (tooth extraction) they gave me antibiotics also and said I would maybe have diareah so in my mind I was like Ok I been having that . Long story short... week after that procedure was done with my tooth extraction I went on a little gateway trip for weekend with my family. Not sure what happened but I just let it all go! I ate like crap (pizza. Soda,, chicken wings potato chips etc) and during that time I had the most perfect stool ever. It lasted for few days like that too..now I'm not sure if it was the vacation and not caring or the .sea salt massage that that I got during this vacation.. or even that 1 yogurt that I ate (they recommend that to me when I took antibiotics for my tooth). But sure sounds like if the stress and fear is gone your body def returns to normal . Didn't think it was that fast or at least for that weekend. Never had it like that. Still puzzles me to this day
Thank you a lot. As far as digestion goes this is me. I have stressed over digestion for years with chronic constipation. Worried about everything especially pooping. I eventually developed Lichen Sclerous witch is where the immune system attacks the private area. That includes the vaginal area down to rectal area. The skin becomes thin and fragile. Then you can get little cuts and tears which are a burning pain symptom. The tissue can become damaged. The main area for me is the anus where it gets little irritations when having bowel movements. I have to use an aid to go and it always irritates that area and feels like you are pooping glass. This is a real burning pain issue for me like cutting yourself and having a sore that doesn't totally heal. .So do you think I could eventually heal this if I work on handling the perceived danger part and quiet things down? I have tried all sorts of restrictive things for years to heal and it doesn't handle it.. I am brand new here. This is a challenge for me but I'm willing l to try. What do you recommend? I still need to take your quiz.
I believe everyone can heal then they teach the brain safety which returns the nervous system to balance. When in the stress response, digestion and the immune system is suppressed which may have allowed your symptoms to develop. There is no downside to applying the concepts that I suggest. Get out of fear and stress. DansFastStart.com - watch, take notes, implement, repeat.
Ive had you know what begins w D since the finance industry collapsed in 2008. I knew then it was stress. However now 15 years later, still the case every morning. I know its become learned. I just dont pay attention bc in a way, i think i like getting all that sh%t (metaphorically) out of my body. I want to work on feeling safe to the core. Thanks as always Dan
So interesting! I'm even figuring out that my adult chronic ear infections (that come with headaches and rashes) must also be TMS. I had been diagnosed with a "stealth" virus in my body. The symptoms flare up with stress. That "virus" can cause headaches and ear problems as well as many other issues, BUT, I started to think about it this week, after turning to my herbal "anti-viral" med, that my subconscious brain is trying to distract me and finds the easiest weak point in my body to use as a distraction. The virus may not leave, but it doesn't mean that I have to have symptoms! So, I'm using the "bring it on" technique, and telling the symptoms that they can stay there if they want to. So what! I'll have to see how this works out. I know I'm tired of having to deal with these flareups, and I most definitely have TMS in other processes of my body. My back pain has reduced tremendously since I've started doing some brain-retraining. I know that I can do this with my digestive issues and more!
How about digestive issues following a new workout. EVERY time I start a workout routine I get gastritis and severe dizziness after doing it a few days. Dr said I have a small hiatal hernia but I don’t think that could cause the issues I have.

this is an important video.
Diabolical that medical offered such an extreme "solution" . Glad he turned that corner with you by his side
Wow! What an incredible mom you are!!!! Kudos! You saved his life! ❤
@@carla6871 it’s a lot to write here. Investigate the concepts Dan suggests plus clean up bad habits.
Ive known people who had severe gut diseases like chrones and colitis. They fully healed when they addressed their emotional issues. Now they are eating whatever they like and never worrying about where the bathroom is. I think all these modern diseases, not poisoning or infection, is emotional based.
Agree completely
Thank you for sharing your experience with these concepts. I appreciate you.
Wonderful - thank you for sharing your experience.
There can definitely be a placebo effect with supplementation routines.
@CherryLane-si1yj Thank you so much for sharing your experience and thoughts ❤️
It absolutely makes sense. No dis-ease within the body is bourne out of calm, peace and ease. The gut is our second brain.. so surely it works like the first brain and if we don't let either of them know we are safe, they don't work correctly. Total sense to me. Thanks Dan, please keep these seemingly unrelated posts coming ❤
Thank you for sharing your insight and feedback Laura.
Dan is absolutley correct. I had diarrhea for 4 years. The more worried the worst it got
I was pooing 6 times a day.

IBS is absolutely a brain Flight or fight problem, triggered by anxiety/stress.
Yep - stress suppresses the digestive system. Safety is the solution.

facts
Thanks Dan!

Inge we have several people in the group who have been adding more foods into their diets with amazing success! It’s so exciting!!!
So sorry you had to experience that as a young child.. it’s a gift that we finally can connect all these puzzle 🧩 pieces
and create our own healthy happy life- puzzle!Take care Nicole!☘️☘️☘️
@@Inge508 I agree Inge! There is such relief and freedom in understanding now why we went through those things!
Wow - tough stuff. Glad you see what it is now.
I tell myself I'm safe etc no danger but my subconscious won't take it 😢
Saying I'm safe is not enough. We have to show the brain we are by how we behave and move throughout our day.
th-cam.com/video/RPniVyhpyyo/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for your story, it gives us hope 🙏🏽
I am having the same symptoms for many years now and feeling pretty hopeless. But your comment is very reassuring. Thank you.
But I also believe cleaning up our lives...the foods we eat, the toxins we consume etc can help a lot (plus its just good practice for general health right!!)....taking care of our bodies reduces the stress too so it compliments the mindset work...be kind to your body in all the ways and it will serve you well ❤
I agree. Biology matters. Food matters. Eat toxic processed foods and you won't feel great.

It shouldn't be controversial. It's well known that stress affects digestion.
This makes tremendous sense, especially when you think about the gut-brain axis. They are intrinsically linked. COVID gave me long COVID, which gave me fatigue, neuropathy, dysautonomia, POTS, and chronic constipation, which I am still dealing with.

I was diagnosed with dyssynergy constipation, what is type when your muscles on the exit clinching when needed to relax. I am sure it’s TMS, but no much success so far, but your video gives me more hope 🙏🏻
I believe you are on the right path.
@@PainFreeYou thank you, Dan! Do you know if it can be cured?
We will always have an immune response to allergens. Getting our system to be normal instead of hyper reactive is a big benefit. Is that a cure? Very subjective. Many have reported their allergies to be MUCH better by doing this work.

@@PainFreeYou great perspective! Thank you for all you're doing to help us! Love your videos. I'm doing much better from pain symptons 🙏🫶
Thank you. Do you have 1-1 coaching?
No, but I do group coaching where you get access to me several times a week. PainFreeYouGroup.com
I get anxiety and stressed when my stomach issue's start i feel ok till then ,so my stomach starts everything off i dont think i would suffer so bad with my chronice pain and anxiety if i didnt have and upset stomach most days (bloating, discomfort, diarrhea and stomachache)the horrible stomach seems to come first then i panic and worry whats causing it.
I have had gut issues for the last 5 years. Mostly bloating pain when laying down. I have had every gastrointestinal test and they found nothing physical. I agree with your logic fight or flight is the underlying issue. I took the 6 week Nerva course by Monash University and it helped, but didn't solve my problems. I follow you and find your knowledge invaluable. I am a Vietnam Veteran and I'm pretty sure that is the underlying cause, but I don't know how to approach it to get it under control. VA group sessions don't seem to be the solution, can you recommend any other options?
First of all, thank you for your service. I'm not convinced you have to go back and deal with past traumas to get well. I like the concept of safety in the present. That's all we have anyway. The present moment. Once we feel safe, symptoms can begin to resolve.

@@Xistorman My pleasure. Safety in the present is the way to calm the brain.
I have the exact same issues as you! How have u been feeling? has it gotten better?
Really appreciate your videos, going through some gut issues this past few weeks, came on slowly, then the more i seemed to focus on it the more it seemed to intensify.
Bloating is the worst part - super bloating. Im trying to do intermittent fasting to help but can you really cure gut issues - this way no medical intervention?
Dan, are you saying we can cure ulcerative colitis with pain free you method?
Do you believe this applies to skin issues like acne?
It certainly can. When in the fight or flight response, the immune system can be suppressed. So that can possibly allow acne to occur. Not saying that's all there is to it, but there is zero downside to this approach. It can only help. th-cam.com/video/g5xWR6eBlb8/w-d-xo.html
Anything ways to activate vagus nerve ?
I don't focus on body parts. I focus on teaching the brain we are safe overall and the brain will take care of the rest. DansFastStart.com lays out my overall take on what's going on and what to do about it.
Does this apply to the pancreas and gallbladder also?
@@PainFreeYou Thanks, Dan! You’re the best, man!
I always say my first TMS was 2015 prostatitus. No! I’ve examined my life. 1982-88 i had constipation. I was in my 30s and beyond fit. Freshly divorced & worked for my father. An ass! Hes 97 still an ass. I left the family business and it ended. He also caused the prostatitus imo too
Thanks Dad. LOL
I have been diagnosed with a hiatal hernia and GERD . I have chest pain and chest spasms daily. Do you believe that symptoms can be reduced using your method of safety? Thank you!
I get brain fog, feel irritable after eating sugar/ any form of carbs. Has anyone gotten cured of this?
I can tick 3 out of 4 of those boxes due to stress
Excellent. Safety is the way forward. th-cam.com/video/Ez9Ez49M8Ig/w-d-xo.html
You are welcome.
The body knows how to poop and sleep, but I have trouble with both. It needs help while I teach my brain that I am not broken.
How about digestive issues following a new workout. EVERY time I start a workout routine I get gastritis and severe dizziness after doing it a few days. Dr said I have a small hiatal hernia but I don’t think that could cause the issues I have.
This fast start playlist will give you a deeper insight to what is going on and what to do about it.

Hypnotherapy is said to help. Colitis doesn't mean anything. It means swollen colon. That says nothing about why.
My dr told me reflux is burning my tongue Hard to control the reflux
It is ALL controlled by the brain. Did the doctor tell you what is creating the reflux? Stress, Fear, the brains perception of danger.
I had a perfect 💩 when i knew i didnt have to go to the dentist any more. And went straight to vacation for a week. That 💩 was about 2 feet strong and healthy. Befor that for years was all loose. Had to be the mind.
