@@dailyholocron Spoilers for the new Jedi order books- it's in the novel Betrayal, in the tunnels with Lumiya he looks into the future to see the implications of letting Lumiya go, and he sees that if he lets Nelani live she'll eventually blab on him (leading to various tragedies, all of which culminate in Jacen vs. Luke... and end in Jacen killing Luke). He chooses to save and work with Lumiya in order to save Luke's life.

I've heard it said that Jacen's fall to the Dark Side was a U turn on his character. Personally I never saw like that. Luke's version of the Jedi Order gave it's members more agency and allowed them to have open interpretations of the Jedi directive. Someone with good intentions was bound to deviate from the Light Side.

@@dailyholocron i always understand this that he went on dark side and change the future cause he have vision of his daughter on side od powerfull sith lord in throne of balance. And he at the end reverse this. In his last moments he see his daughter on throne of balance truly beloved by all races in whole galactic. He succed. But changing tge future woke up ancient evil..
