love how the crowd for steven wright take a while to get him, but then there's the one joke thst breaks them and they're hysterical the rest of the set.
Margaret also neglected. Guess who married Emo Phillips...the 'goddess' screecher...name fails moi. THIS vid GOOD FOR A.D.D peeps. Asides subtracted, this multiplies relevance, instead of dividing vision, split brain operation idealer for that. Rita was on British comedy talk game shows.
Great stuff - always loved Emo and Judy on Howard Stern - classic Hedburg and Steven Wright - end of the day though always comes back to the one and only for me - Norm Macdonald
But by those that got them, they were genius. Stephen Wright - dehydrated water and erasers for golf pencils. Mitch - the "I know a girl who would be upset" joke and escalators (thanks for the convenience).
My fave Steven Wright joke is he once bought powdered water. Saw him on the streets of NYC at dusk one night, shortly after John Lennon was killed. He had headphones on and two teenage girls tapped him on the shoulder from behind to get an autograph. Dude jumped out of his skin!
