👩🏼🦲 Thank you! It takes me a few weeks go get use to a saddle making small adjustments. I will give an update once I am get some nice riding time on it. 👍
Ok I will say Wooooowwwwww I was looking at that sadle the other day. Im so glad that you got it!!!!! Congratulations. I can t wait to see your update on how it feels.
I am impressed how light the Brompton T Line stock saddle is. I have the Ergon SMR3-M Pro Carbon saddle on my Brompton and even that weighs slightly more at 210g. I use a different carbon seat post and clamp (228g), so still end up with some net weight savings over the pentaclip and stock post.
I own a 600 mm black titanium seat post with an integrated ring mount on top, wasting the, to my opinion, over-complicated Pentaclip! The possible downside is of course, that it may be taken out of the frame, without any use of a tool, from the top. But I never use it out of site, so my only problem by that, is that I can't put it into my square B&W black transport box, with out taking the post out of the frame. So for this I use a Chinese 535 mm black titanium, ordinary Brompton version seat post, which is secure but a little too short for my hight! Finn. Denmark
👩🏼🦲Nice! It looks really nice. I have never worn padded shorts, but maybe I will try them if it hurts. It takes me a long time to make micro adjustments to my saddles. It might take me a few weeks to get it to fit right 😊
My friend used to teach adults how to ride in a some what balance bike process. Take pedals off and find slight slope to get balance idea. It was a course setup for immigrants who never learned to ride as a child. The Adam's trail a bike had a bit of sway to let child experience balance and falling. You could install an led light 5 or 7 lens on seat. Lyzene makes some good ones.
Fun fact: was chatting with the in-house mechanic from Brompton Junction Singapore today and he admitted that saddle slippage is a known issue on the T Line. All T Lines being sold from Brompton Junction Singapore (still on ballot basis btw) have carbon paste applied to the carbon rails. He also recommends clamping the saddle to no more than 10Nm to avoid damage. So you are doing everything right! 👍🏻
Interesting to know that the bar is longer than the standard straight bar. Can you make a video to show how you shorten the T-Line handlebar and the tool that you used?
Hi, thanks for the update! Do you know if you could install the Swytch eBike kit on the Brompton T Line? I was wondering because the fork on the T Line seems different than that of the other lines. Thanks!
👩🏼🦲Hi Alexandros! I am not sure. I've never used an electric kit or rode an electric bike before. Let me know if you find out. That would be a nice system to add to the T-Line.
@@BromptonFamilyTime unfortunately the Swytch kit is not compatible with the t line forks. I ended up buying the p line, but I still drool over how light the t line is :D
@@BromptonFamilyTime thank you for your reply. Someone on Facebook helped me with that. The seatpost + pentaclip was 378g as he weighed. So the seatpost alone is about 285g.
Did you know Dallara make race cars ? They were very dominant in the lower classes (what is now F2 and F3) in the UK and Europe, F3 was the stepping stone for F1 for years. I think they make the Indycar chassis as well, could be wrong. I've ridden on Fizik Arionne's for over 30 years, they're pan flat but I have always found them comfortable for me. I just picked up a P Line and had a spare saddle, it just so happens to have a grey strip down the middle so matches the bike (storm grey) ! I'm thinking of switching to a saddle with a cutout, I had an operation for prostate cancer and they repair the uretha (your not allowed to ride your bike for a few months) so I thought a cut out might help alleviate any problems with that in the future. Luckily the surgeon is a cyclist ! And now to start the weight reduction process on the P Line, Ti Parts pedals are already on, what next ? I've got a £/g spreadsheet in progress !
Thanks for the information. I love the saddle. It is actually my first cut out saddle. With padded shorts it is quite comfortable. Weight reduction is fun but hopefully I am done for awhile. My wallet needs a break!
@@BromptonFamilyTime I'm not surprised ! We have a scheme in the UK that lets you buy a bike via your gross rather than net salary, saving around 50%. Scheme limits vary, ours was £3k, so I bought a P Line + a T Line can, CK headset and a bag. Only certain UK shops are affiliated to the scheme. I'm trying to get back to riding regularly after 5 years of little activity due to health issues, I'll use it as a summer bike for part of my commute and to run errands etc. I've mainly ridden road bikes in racing clubs, most of my bike friends think it's a circus bike, so I'm going to try and convince hem otherwise !
It's great but you need padded shorts to enjoy it. If I ride without padded shorts it starts to hurt after 10 miles. With padded shorts it feels like I am on my brooks saddle. I love the look and weight savings!
@@BromptonFamilyTime Thx for the response! I noticed some P-Lines come with the Brompton "Superlight" saddle but the top looks different compared to the T-Lines.
The selle Italia SP01 boost looks absolutely amazing. Would love to know if it turns out to be a comfortable saddle for long rides, and particularly for a woman…
So far it is okay. It's definitely not for everyone. I am still making adjustments, but it is getting more comfortable the more I use it. I would like to try padded shorts and see if they make a big difference in the future as well.
As an owner of the former Top-model, 2019 SuperlightH6LXBrompton, I have done much to make it even lighter (Even the "heavy metal" clamps, holding the original - titanium struts from my mudguards, have been changed to lighter versions!) and it was delivered with a 600 mm seat post (I'm a rather tall Scandinavian man of 184 cm, and it seems to be a Scandinavian "Standard-length", as I got it from the Brompton Dealer this way?), so for a try, I ordered a standard-length, 535 mm black titanium seat post, from China. And I also use an "AceOffix" clamp, which is much less complicated and - lighter than the original! Till now it seems to function fine for my test rides, and I may even try to add the original height insert? But I may try to order the new, lightweight saddle also, for a change from my standard saddle, if the new one functions for You? ;-)
I'm able to just pull it to full length, so I don't need an insert for it, and it is still a little too low, and it sinks a little while riding, as I'm a heavy man. And as an owner of several Selle Italia sadles during my long life, they have all been fine.
The 1st time I became aware of the T Line is from yr videos. And I looked up the price. $5OOO. Five Thousand dollars. Once thugs learn of your bike it'll be easy to broadside you & take yr bike. Just be careful.
That is a nice saddle as well. I choose the SP01 Tekno SuperBoast Saddle because of the design. I thought it would offer more dampening since the left and right side are independent. I am still adjusting it while riding so I can't say whether I like it or not. I need more saddle time.
Your boy is always a joy to watch! Can’t believe he rides so well, credit to you guy!
Truly
Selle Italia is always a very good election. Prestige, tradition and excellent design.
Congratulations Tan Tan!!!!! New rider in the family!!!

Gr8 Decision my friend. Just keep it as stock part. Dont Dont Dont put on! Safe riding.

Great new saddle!
My favorite ones, Brooks and Selle Itallia.
Love to see his first ride. 😍
👩🏼🦲Thanks! There are so many saddle choices. It's fun to see which one works better depending on the ride.
I have a brooks b17 narrow. It hurts when the saddle is parallel to the ground but with a slight tilt upward, its fantastic.
👩🏼🦲 Nice saddle. I agree. It takes me a long time to get the fit right. I remember on my fixed gear bike, the saddle was pointing really upward.
beautiful saddle
ALRIGHT! ❤
Thanks bro! Coz of you I bought myself T line!
👩🏼🦲Congratulations! It's such a great bike!
@@BromptonFamilyTime yes it is bro! Enjoying it but the 50t cr is too small for my riding. Just changed to 58t cr. It's better now hehehe.
