Step 1: wait for it to angle
Step 2: shoot the lower side plate and try to aim right above the tracks to bounce the shell into the tank (your shell should still go through without trying to bounce it in)
Does not always work. There is angling too far then there is just right. Even at closer than 500m
Jumbo should not be angling if they know how to play it
how is the machine gun port (especially with volumetric shells) and cupola not a risky shot?
Turret is moving most of the time and optics on the cupola absorb shots like 25% of the time you can also ricochet if you don’t hit it right
Germany: 79% can pen upper front plate
USSR: 0% can pen upper front plate
Germany: 84% can pen mantlet
USSR: 10% can pen mantlet

Intrestingly, i have killed many jumbos using a normal tiger by shooting above their gun mantlet, not at their cupola, at their upper turret. It is a similar to the weakspot of the Tiger 2 H

I fired a HEAT at those areas in my captured KV-1 with heat shells and did 0 damage
KV-1 (zis 5) or KV-1E or B, a lot of people doesn't seem to know were to shoot those tank that are not that strong when you know where to shoot them.

In all honest all jumbos are free kill for me but only If they think that they can actually sidescrape, then i just shoot bewtwen the tracks and success it is my friends.

Not really anymore since they made volumetric shells
nope, thanks to volumetric shells turret rings and mg ports now have basically infinite armor as the shell wil just disappear. Took my panther into top tier and the mg port disappeard an apfsds round. It would have easily killed my anywhere else.

Tiger is easy with 76mm but panther a bit need work

Best part is when the machine gun negates the entire round and it just sort of disappears into the tank.
Although saying that, i have actually killed a Jumbo with a Tiger by bouncing a shell off of the lower turret cut out areas into the hull.
just get a panther instead of tiger when u're researching germans

Or know how to play it and angle the Jumbo correctly and not even an Tiger H1 or q IS-1/2 can pen the frontal hull. 🤣🤣
I’ve even been shot in the track, had the shell bounce off the track, then go into the underside of the side of the tank. Weird to explain. Idk how volumetric shells actually would effect that now though.
They likely shot the underside which is around 30mm only, so it can be penned even at a steep angle.
Pen indicator: Green - Yes you can do it, Red - No you can't do it
