Why do Maori's make everything racial?, If it was a pakeha owner would it be a news story about..."The pakeha owner of the burger bro on the GC"? No. Not saying that they don't deserve accolades for doing well and pushing a bit of Kiwi into OZ. Honestly stop making everything about race!
***** , I really appreciate your polite answer but your missing my point. All I can see is New Zealanders doing well on the Gold Coast. My question is "Why do Maoris always make everything in life about race", Could you imagine the uproar if a news program lead with, "A pakeha is doing well on the Gold Coast"? You couldn't because it would be deemed racist and would never be done, yet it's OK for the headline "Maori's doing well on the Gold Coast"! I am not Maori but come from a mixed race,(Maori, Irish,Scot and Norwegian) family! It's mostly Maori's that have this thing for separating race in everyday life! and I just think It's about time we moved forward and stopped making everything in life about race.
1) Your sweeping generalisation about Maori making "everything" about race is not correct. What evidence of this can you provide? 2) How are you "not Maori" yet come from a Maori family? 3) Te Karere is a news and current affair programme. When Maori are doing well in business, particularly overseas - it is news worthy.
BloodyMaori 1) It is not a generalization as is shown by your user name and the fact that Maori have their own news and TV channel, their own political parties and their own college's etc etc, I could go on but that about stops it from being "A Generalization"! 2) Not that it is any of your business, but I come from a large family where my father had liaisons before he met my mother so my 10 brothers and sisters consist of a multi culture background! 3) Yes and again my point exactly, when any NZ' er does well in business overseas it is indeed news worthy, not just for Maori but for all NZ which is why we have a news program on at 6-00 pm, and that brings us back to my original point doesn't it!
