Love the way the paint scheme and headsculpt came out on this. This’ll be my definitive ML hulk in my collection. I love the 80th hulk, but this darker green fits what I want more, especially because I missed the SDCC Hulk
The SDCC Marvel Legends Hulk is still my fav classic green Hulk.
@@JohnnyBlaze_616 it’s funny because that’s typically the one that gets the least love, but I think it was fantastically done.

This new hulk has truly grown on me. I'm actually liking it more and more, especially after seeing your review. The new head fits this body better. Also, you don't have to use both pegs at the same time. Just put him facing the thicker part of the diorama, with one foot on stomping.
This is ok but what we really need is a brand new comic smart Hulk…Hasbro get on it!
Love the Paul Harding “Marvel in the 70s” head sculpts.
I think the rock smash base is set up to gave Hulk crushing his foot down on the one side with the green. Then you have the other side shooting out from the Hulk the rocks rising as it moves away from the Hulk. The peg will allow you to position a figure in a splayed out manner as if the concussion blast is knocking that character over. This is a great tribute. The head looks more like the original head from year one. It was more monstrous. I have all Marvel Legends besides a few variants like blue Wasp. I can’t wait to give them a comparison.

I sold my other Hulk in preparation for this one and looks like I won’t be disappointed. I actually like the head-sculpts a lot.

I honestly love this look, it reminds me of Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!!! Greatest Avengers show ever!

I love this figure, but you're right, Hasbro needs to come up with a way to differentiate this body. By my count, this same body has been used for seven Hulk figures now. They could still use the same upper half and just change the legs to give us Hulk wearing the purple trunks with bare legs... which is the very image they use for him on the display stand! They could also give him smooth pants and boots for the Pantheon era Hulk that we saw during the Infinity Gauntlet comic (and we should've gotten pants and boots like that on Maestro). Yeah, this Hulk is awesome, but they should never make another Hulk on this same body without some significant tweaks or alterations.

The faces look great. I prefer these 70s/80s looks. Also the doctor strange is sculpted by Harding studios. Let’s get some 70s/80s style she hulk!
He looks like an artist's interpretation of a Hippie Hulk with that shaggy hair. Still debating on getting him as I don't have a Hulk in my collection. He just doesn't look like the Hulk I know.

I think the newer hulk looks more retro than the two pack version with wolverine.

I still see Steven Tyler in those head sculpts.
The head sculpts are amazing! Paul Harding did a Awesome job sculpting them , and in my opinion this is the best version of the Hulk we’ve gotten well worth the penny with the extra head sculpt and diorama piece.
Marvel heroes have been fighting Mandroids since the 70's.
Hulk fought a Super-Mandroid in the 80's and they were a recurrent foe for everybody in the 80's/90's.
I love thr new heads. Paul Harding nailed them, it exudes 70's Hulk. That mandroid head is probably a nod to The Incredible Hulk #246, when Glenn Talbot tried to fight the Hulk with a super mandroid suit.

The less angry head looks exactly like the Hulk poster/shirt that was popular in every comic shop in the 90's
I used to think this Hulk was way overpriced, but considering that Rhino is only $3 less than this, it doesn't sound too bad anymore.
I still don't like the heads but I might get this if I can find it on sale
Definitely loving this version of Hulk from its previous release... can't stop laughing it Cracked me so much Hellfire Hank couldn't give the final blow on and end it being smashed on the wall/floor 😅🤣🤣

I would love to see a Cable figure based on the series VI design because l love the sculpt and paint/colors. It's the size and gummines of the plastic that holds it back so l do hope they don't ignore or glaze over that design and really do it justice

It does look pretty good. I'm still not sold on the lower half of each head sculpt. Looks like he's balancing a cucumber. The 80yrs is more my cup of tea.
I like the diorama base. More figures should have one. Imagine Iceman with a decently sculpted Ice slide, or Human Torch with a flame flight stand.

This Hulk does remind me of the way he looked in the 70s and even though he is cool, I might get him, Well see because I don't the 80 years Hulk which is the best Hulk figure, But as always, Great review Dan. #HULK SMASH!
I'm a big fan of the head sculpts done by Paul Harding! I really hope to see more of his work for future legends. I'd really love to see his take on Hawkeye and Thor. Oh and he also sculpted the new classic Dr. Strange headsculpts!

This looks great! So among the 20th anniversary figures, Cap and Hulk seem to be the definitive versions of their characters, right? The 80th anniv Iron Man is still a more classic version?
Love this hulk, the headsculpt just makes it look like he has a neck that’s too short
Do you think that Hasbro will continue making updated versions of the original figures even after Toad? I'd love to get "definitive 1/12 scale" versions of the rest of the Avengers and the Midnight Sons.
Hulk has fought the gold colored mandroids often back in the day. I am hoping we eventually get a completely gold mandroid

I never took that one out of the box, I kept my retro Hulk on card and is in storage unfortunately, but your right would of been good to see. I’m sure another reviewer will show that at some point 👌🏻
The gold Mandroid head throws back to a custom AIM Mandroid they had on display in one of their SDCC dioramas.

PLEASE Hasbro! Release Madman and Ravage on this mold!
Better yet, just give us Madman and just stick an extra head of Ravage and General Maverick to put on the Maestro and Red Hulk figures respectively, a la Shadow King, Lilandra, Onslaught, etc. to make it easy for you!
Thanks for the review. I'll mostly be passing on this Hulk simply that It's not that much different. Maybe will finally get a Planet Hulk with a full butterfly joint and a large axe.

Ugh. I guess it's hard to compare once you have the immortal Hulk. Those lips just a little strange. Proportions are just still off like many figures. But to each her own. It is a hold figure and it is kind of cool
The head sculpts are well done, I just wish the green highlights were blended better. The dark green face with bright green pectorals is slightly disorienting.
I feel like buying this just to cut the chest to allow that beautiful butterfly joint to spread its wings !

Thanks for the review. One point I would like to make is that this Hulk, doesn't look anything like the card backing. Furthermore, the Hulk on the card backing, is the one Hulk we don't have yet. For a Hasbro Hulk, this is nothing but another attempt to make money off the 80th buck. I'll think I will stay with my 80th. Especially considering that I got a Wolverine with the 80th, there is more value for my money. For accessories, Hasbro has a long way to go on this when compared to their competitors offerings.
£40 and £60 for the 80th double pack hows is that better value?
@@garethjames1300 I bought the set when it first came out and spent less than $40 on it. That would make each figure approx. $20. AS mentioned earlier the 20th just doesn''t have that much of an upgrade for me to justify spending more money on this one.

I've got Captain, Ironman is on its way and I did pre-ordered This Hulk , one more Hulk for the collection, as I have all of then but only didn't get the Maestro cause I thought was too much of the same. Ended up pre-ordering another same toy.

Thank you for the review, and… Wow!! I had already pre-ordered mine but had some doubts… the figure including the head sculpts just looks fantastic! I am curious to see how much the heads can move up though, as this has been the one varying degree of articulation with this buck, as the cut of the back of the heads has been different for each. But yeah, this Hulk looks amazing in the review. Still hoping to see a Professor Hulk with this buck, and a comic version of Joe Fixit (that is the right color!). would be great. If Hasbro does ever give a Hulk figure forward butterfly joints, he HAS to come with thunderclap hands as an option!
Oh, and pretty sure the head sculpts are based off Sal Buscema’s work on the Hulk. Update: just realized, the calmer head looks VERY reminiscent of the Hulk from the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 video game.
if only this hulk had the colors of the 80th one. the dark green puts this fig down for me. still, headsculpts are pretty dope.

Damn, after seeing the review and even those headsculpts carefully, especially the angry one, i could consider getting myself that Hulk figure but the price may be too much for me that I'd take the risky idea of the long game seeing him in my store.
Which by then I'm gonna assume if it happened it would fail but still i might do that regardless. But also i admit i end up referring this Hulk as "the gorilla hulk" because the second not so angry face looks gorilla alike for me haha.

Pass for me. The head sculpts look just as bad as they did in the reveal pictures. The 80th Anniversary Hulk is still the king IMO

@@JaeLee83 Depends. I do think that the Marvel Select Hulk is a better figure than any of the Marvel Legends Hulks. However, I think that Marvel Select Hulk is too big for a Marvel Legends display. He can blend in when he's posed next to regular-sized figures like Captain America or Spider-Man, but the illusion is broken when he's posed next to big Marvel Legends figures. Yes Hulk's size does vary depending on who's drawing him, but he should never tower over characters like Rulk or Juggernaut.
Liked the expression overall on that one, but can't get pass the infamous hasbro eye gap either, makes it worse imo. Least this one has more personality, Hulk ain't supossed to be handsome either.
@@mrzeromafia The eye gap is worse on the Select tbh; the bulk is great, but that dude looks straight up derpy lol. I can dig making Hulk ugly, I just think the lips were executed very poorly on this release. It’s too cartoony for my liking.

I wish hascrap would wake up and include the grey hulk head somewhere 😝👍 or at least separate hair sculpt molds. The hair sculpt is crap. A new abomination is long overdue.
I pre-ordered this guy , even though I have four other Hulks with this same molde , I'm not sure if it is worthy , let's see when I get mine. His face doesn't make me impressed.
By your review I like his colours but this face the 80th anniversary and the SDCC look better.
I don't like the head. I think it's the mouth. Yeah he's angry but it looks like they took a picture of him as he's getting angry and has that awkward in-between face you make as you change expressions.
